Unable to get Reponse Header in BPEL

We are invoking a webservice from BPEL .We are not able to get the response header returned by the Webservice .
Below is the extract of the invoke activity invoking the webservice.
<invoke name="InvkGWMGetServiceAgentTransactionSummary"
portType="ns1:GetServiceAgentTransactionSummaryPortType"
inputVariable="InvkGWMGetServiceAgentTransactionSummary_GetServiceAgentTransactionSummary_InputVariable"
outputVariable="InvkGWMGetServiceAgentTransactionSummary_GetServiceAgentTransactionSummary_OutputVariable"
partnerLink="PartnerLink_1"
operation="GetServiceAgentTransactionSummary"
bpelx:outputHeaderVariable="varOutMsg"
bpelx:inputHeaderVariable="varManifest varSecurity"/>.
Please let me know where I am commiting a mistake.
The above code is getting compiled and deployed but doesn't give a header response.
Thanks in advance.

Please make sure that you follow the syntax :
<invoke bpelx:inputHeaderVariable="inHeader1 inHeader2 ..."
bpelx:outputHeaderVariable="outHeader1 outHeader2 ..."
.../>
<receive bpelx:headerVariable="inHeader1 inHeader2 ..." .../>
<onMessage bpelx:headerVariable="inHeader1 inHeader2 ..." .../>
<reply bpelx:headerVariable="inHeader1 inHeader2 ..." .../>

  • Unable to get callback from Asynchronous BPEL process to work (AXIS Client)

    Hello,
    I am calling an Asynchronous BPEL process from an AXIS client, and I am unable to get the callback functionality to work. The AXIS client code has been generated from WSDL2Java using the BPEL process' WSDL file.
    I CAN insert an invoke node in the BPEL process and invoke my Callback web service using that, but obviously that means the BPEL process is limited to only responding to one pre-determined client, which won't work.
    My questions:
    - How does the BPEL process know what endpoint to use to make the callback?
    - Do I need to modify the generated code to create a SOAP Envelope and invoke the process with the envelope, intead of the invokeOneWay call?
    - If I do need to create a SOAP Envelope with a replyto element, what is the structure of a typical BPEL envelope? Is there an example somewhere?
    I have looked at the examples in the interop directory, specifically the AXIS calling Async BPEL, but I would like to try to keep the client code as independent as possible (I don't really want to have a dependency on the OTN library).
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
    Thank you.
    -Ryan

    Please have a look at the Binding in the WSDL. Axis must provide the ReplyTo and
    MessageId information there. As far as I see, this must be done by an Axis-Handler,
    because the Binding-Part in not generated by WSDL2Java.
    I was able to generate the JavaClasses by using the "WSDL2Java -a" option, but
    I still do not see how to use them in a handler and how to register the handler.
    Maybe someone can give me a hint.

  • Unable to get Http Header info in webservice Handler

    Hi,
    I have been trying to get the Header info in my custom Handler unsuccessfully
    for the past few days.
    Upon web search, I am constantly redirected to use a Servlet filter to get the
    headers. I have to use the Weblogic Native SOAP engine and not any Servlet Filters.
    In Axis, I can do a (HttpServletRequest)messageContext.getProperty(HTTPConstants.MC_HTTP_SERVLETREQUEST)
    which returns the HttpServletRequest and then I can get the headers off that.
    I can't find something similar in WebLogic. Any ideas?
    Any help in helping me track this problem down would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sridhar.

    Yes, you are correct that you are taking a risk by using the "__BEA_PRIVATE_BINDING_PROP"
    property, on the MessageContext object. The mechanism I provided is the recommended
    (and supported) way to get the HTTP headers, as it only uses "documented" class.
    Some developers think you are trying to "hide" something with undocumented classes,
    but I don't think this is the case with BEA. There are good reasons and the point
    you made about the likelihood of an unannouced future change breaking your code,
    is probably pretty high on the list :-)
    Getting the REMOTE_ADDR (or REMOTE_HOST) would most likely require the "undocumented"
    approach you've taken. You could get the HttpServletRequest from this same HttpServerBinding
    object, and call the getRemoteAddr() method on it. However, I really, really,
    really think you should consult our "fantabulous" BEA support department, to see
    if doing this will be supported.

    Michael,
    Thanks a bunch for your reply. I have been going crazy over this and
    your reply
    made my day.
    I still have a slight problem with this though. This does not seem to
    give me
    the Client IP etc. Any ideas to get that?
    Thanks again for the code. It was a great help.
    Sridhar.
    PS BTW, I found another way of getting the same info:
    HttpServerBinding httpBinding = (HttpServerBinding) messageContext.getProperty("__BEA_PRIVATE_BINDING_PROP");
    Enumeration headerEnum = httpBinding.getRequest().getHeaderNames();
    while (headerEnum.hasMoreElements()) {
    String header = (String) headerEnum.nextElement();
    System.out.println("header = " + header);
    System.out.println("header Value = " + httpBinding.getRequest().getHeader(header));
    But, I am guessing BEA doesn't want me to go this route as they might
    change the
    implementation and my code will immediately break.

    Hi Sridhar,
    You should be able to get at the HTTP Headers that were sent by theconsumer

    import javax.xml.rpc.handler.MessageContext;

    import javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException;

    import javax.xml.soap.MimeHeader;
    import javax.xml.soap.SOAPMessage;
    public boolean handleRequest(MessageContext mc)
    SOAPMessageContext messageContext = (SOAPMessageContext) mc;
    try
    SOAPMessage original = messageContext.getMessage();
    MimeHeaders mimeheaders = original.getMimeHeaders();
    MimeHeader mimeheader = null;
    Iterator iter = mimeheaders.getAllHeaders();
    for (; iter.hasNext();)
    mimeheader = (MimeHeader) iter.next();
    System.out.println("name=" + mimeheader.getName() + ", value="
    + mimeheader.getValue());
    catch (Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    throw new JAXRPCException(e);
    Here's the output from the System.out.println():
    name=Content-Type, value=text/xml
    name=SOAPAction, value=""
    name=User-Agent, value=Java1.4.1_05

  • Is there a way to get SOAP header in bpel?

    Hi,
    My web service returns a SessionID contained in the SOAP header. In Oracle PM, is there a way I could extract the SOAP header, or manipulate the SOAP header when invoking the web services? Any information would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Feng

    Edwin,
    I was trying your second approach, which utilizes the bpel extension to hold the header info, but with no luck.
    The provided sample (Salesforce Flow) works well, and I can see the SOAP header using TCPMonitor. Then I created a simple echo service (using bpel) to replace the Salesforce.com Enterprise Web Services, and invoke the echo service from a bpel process with the same bpel extension. However, no header was sent out.
    I guess there are something I was missing. Attached please find the wsdl file of the echo service, as well as the bpel files. Could you give me some idea what I did wrong? Or do you have any documentation about the bpel extensions?
    Thanks a lot for the good support!

  • Error 1030723 Unable to get UTF-8 locale when using Essbase API 11.1.1

    Now I got a question about how to connect to an Essbase Server by using essbase client API (11.1.1). I encountered an error “Unable to get UTF-8 locale” when I tried to EssInit((pInitStruct, phInstance) API.
    However, I had no problem to call the API if I uses essbase previous client APIs (7.1 or 9.3).
    I passed the “ESS_API_UTF8” to usApiType field in the ESS_INIT_T struct. When I openned the “essapi.h” header file, I found these are some new fields (highlighted in red color below) added in the essbase client API (11.1.1)

    The API documentation for V11 is available from :- http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/esb_apiref/frameset.htm?launch.htm
    Hopefully it might point you in the right direction.

    As per your code here:

  • Unable to get the values from PAYLOAD

    Hi,
    i'm unable to get the values of payload. When i use
    currentTask = client.getTaskQueryService().getTaskDetailsById(workflowContext, taskID);
    Element payload = (Element)currentTask.getPayloadAsElement();
    node = (Element)payload.getFirstChild();
    System.out.println(node.getElementsByTagName("documentName").item(0).getNodeValue());
    I get null but i instantiate the bpel process with a value and i have
    - <payload>
    - <ns1:DocumentReviewProcessRequest xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/Review">
    <ns1:documentTitle>vbvnmbvn</ns1:documentTitle>

    <ns1:assignees>gestdoc</ns1:assignees>
    <ns1:groups />
    </ns1:DocumentReviewProcessRequest>
    </payload>
    if i use System.out.println(node.getElementsByTagName("HELLO").item(0).getNodeValue());
    I get a normal erro 'cause this variable don't exist...
    Can someone please help me?
    Thanks!!

    I think the problem is UME related. I had the same problem once. Try using a system user for searching, instead of the logged on user.
    Like this:
    com.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IUser user = WPUMFactory.getUserFactory().getUser("cmadmin_service");
    Please reward the points if this helps.

    <operation name="onResult">
    <soap:operation soapAction="onResult" style="document"/>

    thanks
    Srikanth

    Hi, thanks for the input
    Actually My partnerLink had two messageTypes one for Input message request and the other for the Output message request and for the input message i had used the operation as initiate also for the output messsage type operation as result.For both of them binding is defined.
    With these am passing the values from myBPELl to the service which am nvoking dynamically but unable to capture the response the variables are local to myBPEL.

    You mixed Java and Javascript in the expectation that they runs simultaneously.
    You are Wrong.
    You need to distinguish between the server side languages and client side languages. Java/JSP runs at the server side and produces a HTML page with other client side stuff in it like CSS and Javascript. When the HTML page is finished, it will be sent to the client and then Java/JSP stops. Once the HTML page is arrived at the client, there is no one line Java code in it, only its output/result. Do a View Source in your favourite web browser to see it. Only from that moment on, Javascript runs and/or can be invoked.
    Whenever you want to use Java variables in Javascript, you need to print them out as a Javascript variable. Whenever you want to use Javascript variables in Java, you need to invoke a request to the server and pass them as parameters. The request can be either synchronous (a link or a form submit) or asynchronous (ajaxical).

  • Unable to get a connection for pool - ResourceUnavailableException

    Hi
    I have a BPEL process which starts a child instance of another asynchronous BPEL process for each message in an XML file. The child BPEL process makes a call to the Oracle Apps JCA Adapter to push the data into E-Business Suite.
    All works perfectly except when the number of messages exceeds a certain limit (15 or so). The error received is as follows:
    "Exception occured when binding was invoked.
    Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'SyncPersonRecord' failed due to:
    JCA Binding Component connection issue. JCA Binding Component is unable to create an outbound JCA (CCI) connection.
    ebsPeoplesoftEmployees:SyncPersonRecord [ SyncPersonRecord_ptt::SyncPersonRecord(InputParameters,OutputParameters) ] :
    The JCA Binding Component was unable to establish an outbound JCA CCI connection due to the following issue:
    javax.resource.spi.ApplicationServerInternalException:
    Unable to get a connection for pool = 'eis/Apps/Apps',
    weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceUnavailableException:
    No resources currently available in pool eis/Apps/Apps to allocate to applications.
    Either specify a time period to wait for resources to become available, or increase the size of the pool and retry.. Please make sure that the JCA connection factory and any dependent connection factories have been configured with a sufficient limit for max connections.
    Please also make sure that the physical connection to the backend EIS is available and the backend itself is accepting connections. ".
    The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception.
    Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution."
    Obviously what is happening is the connection pool maximum is reached (currently 15) and this is throwing the error.
    What I need to do is to implement the suggestion of "specifying a time period to wait" and I was hoping someone could tell me how I do this?
    I have tried setting the 'Connection Creation Retry Frequency' parameter to 30 seconds which made no difference and also have checked the documentation on "Configuring and Managing JDBC Data Sources for Oracle WebLogic Server".
    Does anyone know if this is something that is implemented directly in the BPEL process/composite or in the connection source itself.
    Many thanks

    Open the jndi : eis/Apps/Apps in /console - config tab - increase the initial and max conn capacity and save it. Retry the scenario

    Try to install win 2003 server software, do the fresh installation of oracle software, now copy the datafiles and controlfiles to same locations as you did on winxp.
    get back to us, if still not out of the woods. I still doubt that a simple restore would do the trick, since you doing it across different platforms, might be I can be wrong, but this is what I personally feel, you not able to start the database on winxp.

  • How to Capture SOAP Header in BPEL

    Hi All,

  • Nested Tables - Unable to make Table Header row to repeat in subsequent pages

    Hi,
    I am unable to make the header row to repeat in subsequent pages for nested tables.
    Can anyone reply with a sample form to illustrate a similar scenario?
    Thanks,

  • Oracle.adf.controller.activity.ActivityLogicException: ADFC-02013: Unable to get metadata for activity

    Hello,
    I am new to ADF, I am trying to learn how to navigate from one page to another, the code that I have is simple, but it is not working, I specified the control flow rules in the adfc-config.xml and I even tried to specify the navigation rules in the faces-config.xml file, but it doesn't matter if I do it in one configuration file or another I get the same error.  This is my first time working with ADF, I don't have formal training, just some video tutorial that I have seen on internet.  I have previous experience with JSF, so I feel more comfortable writing the code for my program than using all the graphical tools (at least at this moment)
    Any help to solve this problem will be highly appreciated.

    User, tell us your jdev version, please!
    What is your goal?
    What you have find had nothing to do with ADF. If you ent to learn adf then I recommend to work through find of the tutorials available on the jdev home page.
    If adf is not your goal, you might want to use Trinidad and ask your question in their forum.
    You might not like the declarative approach adf uses, but if you want to learn how to use adf, you have to understand how ADF works. Most can be done using java, but one you understand the framework you see the advantage.

  • Unable to get component ID for: appl_name.object_name (WWV-13404)

    Hi,
    I got the following error message when I would like to export my appliction: Unable to get component ID for: schema.object_name (WWV-13404). The 'appl_name' is the name of the application and the 'object_name' is the name of the object, actually it is a dynamic page.
    The object itself is not listed in the list of the objects, maybe it was there sometimes in the past and I deleted it but the system can see it somewhere I guess.
    So, how I can remove any remaining links to this object, or the object itself.
    I appreciate any help!
    Regards,
    Attila

    Suggestion....  change the text you need to find in your development or sandbox...any change and save.  Then go to table STXH and find the change you just made, searching by using the date and userid fields....
    The entry in STXH is what you will need to find the texts...substitute the "real" data values like document number, item, line, etc., in precisely the format appearing in TDNAME in STXH, along with object, id and sy-langu, etc.
    Generally, in code, I read for an entry in STXH populating my header of type thead. If I get a return code of zero, I know that long texts exists, and then I supply export values using my stucture of type thead, using thead-fieldname to the READ_TEXT call export parameters,....etc.
