Unable to import jpegs into Library

HI all,
I hoping somenone has come across a similar issue and resolved it. When trying to import my jpegs from both my iphone and my digital camera the import runs but at the end when prompted to keep originals or remove a message box prompts with the folllowing:
Unreadable Files: 26
The following files could not be imported.(the Import failed)
Has anyone had this and resolved it. Its disastrous for me at the moment as i cannot back up all my photos of my new born girl.

Thank you for your response, but unfortunately this did not help as i get the same issue as before - "The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognised file type or the files may not contain valid data)"
I now have another problem, where when i now open iPhoto it comes up with this message box:
25 photos were found in the iPhoto library that were not imported. Would you like to import them Yes or No.
if i click yes it tries to import them, shows the above error message again (files could not be imported etc) then creates an album titled recovered photo's with no pictures in it.It also actually downloads the photos to a file on the HD titled " iPhoto Library Recovered Photos"
If i click NO a message box appears stating " these photo's have been placed in folder xx/xx/xx etc titled " iPhoto Library Recovered Photos", so i now have 2 folders with the same pictures, but still unable to import. Plus i cannot stop iPhoto doing the above. every time i open it i get the above message and it creates a new recovered folder.
I am now worse off than when i started.

Unable to import videos into library

I'm using the iPhone 5 and want to add movies to it. My iTunes doesn't add videos into its library. Even though I go to File->Add file to library->select the movie, a beep sound plays and nothing happens. So I downloaded the Quick time player. But still the problem persists. I used Total Video Converter to convert the videos to the required format but still its not getting added to the library.
Am I supposed to download an extension to the iTunes to play videos or is there something else that I'm supposed to do?
Please help me with this.

Can you import jpegs into Livetype as fonts?

I have a logo, in which I have broken up all the letters into separate jpegs, so I can animate them in. Unfortunately Motion has limited animation for objects that are not fonts, and as far as I can tell, livetype will not animate anything but fonts. Can someone help me figure out how to...I guess create a font in which these different jpegs would make up the letters of the font, and import that into livetype? Thank you!

You pose and interesting question. Live Type works best when you use the exisiting fonts provided in the program
Yes you can import jpegs into Live Type and you can use the pre-fabricated effects to animate them if you please, you can even modify many of the effects.
If you have a just a few elements of a logo you may be able to create what you want relatively fast. You can do this in Motion as well, where you have more control, although IMO the learning curve is steeper in Motion. For that matter you could keyframe and animate in Final Cut Pro as well.
If you choose to try this in Live Type then go to File>Place and select each of you jpegs indivudually.

Unable to import videos into iTunes library

For the past few week I have been unable to import videos from my computer into the iTunes library using either the drag and drop or import file methods. I am using the latest version of iTunes and a second generation iPod touch.
I have tried using file formats: wmv, av1, mpeg & mp.4 but all refuse to load into the library. To test I have changed a file name of a video that was successfully loaded into the library a while ago and this file also refuses to load. I have also used 'Smart FLV Converter' to convert the files to 'MP4 for iPod' and this converted file also cannot be imported. All of the files play OK from the desktop.
Any suggestions as to how to overcomne this problem would be appreciated

I don't know if this helps but my iTunes was crashing everytime I tried to add a file located in the "My videos" folder. I moved the files to "My Music" Folder and had no problems. Seems like a simple/stupid solution but it worked for me. I still don't know why it wasn't allowing me to do it in the first place.

Unable to Import objects into ID

For your support I have completed the development work and I have moved to Quality from Development. But while trying to import the one scenario in to Quality System from Development in XI, I am getting the following Error:-
Internal error: Unable to transfer changes for object Service | Q14CLNT120 to change list "XI 3.0 Import" (9a590f30-7245-11dc-9266-00306ee97ef1) since object still in change list "XI 3.0 Import" (3ae5e660-701d-11dc-942e-00306ee97ef1)
I have somehow managed to import another scenario last week into Quality, although now I am unable to import. But while trying to activate the imported scenario into Quality System I am getting another Error as below:-
Unable to move object. Change lists were not part of the same import
I tried to activate the change list..but no woek.
Could anyone please advice?

Have you checked the GUID in SLD in both the systems?
SLD-->Software Components, to check the GUID.
You can do one thing, first of delete imported objects which are not getting activated from QA, also delete the SWCV from Integration Repository.
Note: Before deleting SWCV, make sure any other working objects are not there in the same SWCV.
Now, if SWCV & GUID in both systems are same then again:
1. Export the objects from Dev (.tpz file)
2. Imort the same .tpz file to QA system.
Now go to Repository of QA and
1. Tools --> Import Design Objects
2. Tools --> Transfer from system landscape Directory --> Update Application Components.
Select your components and press Finish button.
And finally try to Acitvate your objects.

Can't import jpegs into drop zones in 7.0 themes

I've followed the thread regarding mac book pros and hang ups with iDVD 08 and the 7.0 themes. I have a G5 and can't get the 'Revolution' 7.0 them on main menu to allow me to 'drop' a jpeg into its drop zone. I drag the jpeg over, the green sign appears like its going to allow it to be dropped, it drops but the zone remains black like nothing is there. When I go to the info tree for the drop zones, its shows up like it is there, but on the main menu it remains empty. Any one with any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any info.

What happens if you click on the Drop Zone button and drag the image there?
This frequently helps solve some problems. Quit iDVD. Search for the file named com.apple.iDVD.plist and trash it. (A new one will be created next launch of iDVD.) Or look in: User/Library/Preferences. This may solve project loading errors too. Restart and use Disk Utility to Repair Permissions.
You'll need to reset some Preferences.

Unable to Import metadata into RPD

Hi,
I have installed OBIEE 111.1.1.6 on the sever and OBIEe client tools on my local desktop.
now when i am trying to import metadata into my rpd by connecting to database it shows me the error "Unable to connect"
can you please let me know if i am missing any prerequisties on my local desktop or any settings that i need to actualy srt importing?

If the call interface is OCI, enter a full connect string or a net service name from the tnsnames.ora file you set up within the Oracle Business Intelligence environment, in ORACLE_HOME/network/admin.
If you are using a native interface for a different database, enter the name of the database for that system.
If the call interface is ODBC, the data source name field displays a list containing all the User and System DSNs defined for ODBC on the local computer. Select the correct one for the data source to which you want connect.

Problem with importing JPEG into Flash

Hello,
Im using Adobe Flash CS3 PRO. I don't know what's wrong..when I try to import photos into the stage the photos get resized.
My photographs are 550px by 413px. I set my stage to the same size. Then I go to import to stage. I click import as a sequence. All the photos are appear smaller on the stage. They are only about 200px
Why is it happening?????
I am basicaly trying to import a sequence of photographs for my stop motion animation. Do you have any suggestions?

I don't know the why of it. I don't have this problem most of the time, but I have heard it come up before--I don't remember the solution though. It may have involved importing the image into something that is already scaled smaller.
Anyways, here's a couple of things to check while waiting for someone who might know more to come along.
First, select one of the images and select Modify -> Transform -> Remove Transform. If the Remove Transform option is grayed out, then nevermind.
If that didn't do anything, try dragging one of the images out to the stage from the library and see if it is the proper size.
If you have a ton of images, it's likely that neither of the two things above is an attractive solution anyways.

Getting error when attempting to import jpegs into Premiere Elements

When attempting to import still images (jpegs) into a video project I am able to import some, but on others get the error "importer reported a generic error," and I can't figure out why some photos load and others don't. Can anyone help?

SOME pictures may be created with "malformed" file header information... the solution is generally to open in Photoshop and resave to fix the file header

Unable to import keywords into iPhoto 8

I have some photos (.jpg) in 2 particular folders which display keywords when I right click on them and choose "get info", but when I import them into iphoto 8, the keywords are not imported. The strange thing is that the keywords in most of my other photos do get imported into iphoto 8, and even a few of the other photos in the same folder as the ones whose keywords don't get imported are imported.
I cannot see any difference in parameters between those photos whose keywords do get imported into iPhoto 8, and those which don't.
Any idea why that might be the case?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. How were those keywords added to the image files. iPhoto only reads the ITPC keywords so if those keywords were not added to that field by some application they will not be recognized.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Importing jpeg into pages

I have been sent a jpeg to use in a document.
It views fine when I open it in preview.
However, when I import it into my document it just displays as a black rectangle.
What am I doing wrong?

How are you importing it into Pages? Pages does seem to handle graphics that are inserted using Insert > Choose... better than dragging & dropping. You might also try saving the image as a PDF from Preview & using that in Pages.

Importing JPEGS into FCE 'unexpect quit'!

Any ideas as to why when importing JPEGS (2mb) into FCE it 'unecpectantly quits'? Its very consistent even after dumping plist.

So the file gets into the application OK. It crashes when it goes into the sequence. What are the specs for the JPEG file? What's it say in item properties? Was it made in RGB not CMYK?

Unable to import IDoc into NWBPM from NWDS
