Unable to insert internal actions in process integration scenario

Hi, experts!
Can anybody please help me insert an action in my process integration scenario? I have created and activated actions that are internal (for own SWCV type of usage) but when I try to insert them in the scenario, I can only choose actions that have action class = external for that SWCV. Any idea what keeps the internal actions from appearing? Thanks in advance.

  • Configuring Process Integration Scenario

    Hi,
I have created a Process Integration Scenario in ESR and trying to create ID objects.
I am referring this blog: /people/shailesh.mane/blog/2006/06/29/b2b-configuration-part-ii--creating-the-configuration-using-the-automated-configuration-tool
I am confused while running the wizard.
    1) Can anyone please confirm what objects should I create in ID before running the wizard
I have a External Party --> SAP PI -> IDOC scenario (with multiple actions inbetween). I am using PI7.1.1
    Thank you,
    Pankaj.

    Hi Pankaj ,
While you design your  process integration scenario . while you do insert application component for sender and receiver
Have you checked the tab " Communication tab --" External party with B2B communication."
I am not sure but this is your problem I guess ,
Please have a look at the link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/ce988318d3424be10000000a421937/frameset.htm
Since you are using IDocs , you cannot use integrated configurations( not sure whetehr its supported in your Service pack version ) hence no use of "sender uses virtual receiver "

You can use sender uses a  virtual receiver while creation of sender agreement then you need not make separete receiver determination and interface determination , in case of B2B scenarios try that option as well
let me know if it  works or not

  • Synchronous process integration scenario with PI 7.1

    Hi all,
Iu2019m trying to create a process integration scenario which contains two actions. Both actions use the same synchronous interface to a web service which takes some parameters and returns a value. When I check the configurability it displays the errors:
Connection from Action1 to Action2 has no outbound interface
Connection from Action1 to Action2 has no inbound interface
    and the warning:
Connection from Action1 to Action2 has no mapping
I first assigned the service interface as outbound interface to Action1 and inbound to Action2. Next I tried to assign the interface in- and outbound to both actions, but this didnu2019t change anything on the message. The same scenario with the interface set to asynchronous seems to be valid (but looses the return value of course).
Can anyone give me a hint what Iu2019m doing wrong? Is there any special consideration for synchronous communication which doesn't apply for asynchronous services?
    Regards,
    Tarik

Deleting and recreating the actions and service interfaces exactly the same as they were before solved the problem. Seems as if changes in the interface objects sometimes are not activated correctlyu2026

  • Creating Process Integration Scenario with synchronous connections

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a process integration scenario in which the first step is a synchronous call by a B2B supplier to a webservice hosted on PI ccBPM.
Step1) I have created two swim lanes:
    Lane1: Supplier.
    Lane2: PI ccBPM.
Step2) I've created an outbound synchronous interfaces for the supplier and an inbound synchronous interface for the ccBPM. I assigned these to two actions.
    Action1: Supplier_Send(OutboundSync)
    Action2: PI_Receive(InboundSync).
Step3) Assign the actions to the swim lanes.
    Lane1 -> Action1
    Lane2 -> Action2
Step4) Connect Action1 and Action2. At this step, the connection is shown as asynchronous. Since both the actions are synchronous, this is clearly incorrect.
    Can someone please help?
    Thanks,
    Harsh

    > Connect Action1 and Action2. At this step, the connection is shown as asynchronous. Since both the actions are synchronous, this is clearly incorrect.
    Put actions on same level.
Connections are sync, when actions are on same level and async, when actions are on different levels.

  • Difference between Process integration scenario and configuration scenario.

    Hi,
Please tell me what is difference between Process integration scenarion and configuration scenarion in SAP PI.
Is Process integration scenario is BPM concept? also what is the advantages over configuration scenario.
    Regards,
    Manigandan

    Hi Manigandan,
    Speaking widely:
Process integration scenario: there is a ccBPM, like the workflow in ABAP, even when you one inside the PI it's generated a workflow in the ABAP stuck
Configuration scenario: it is object to link the integration directory and the esr/IR when  you define the logic of your implementation. It isnt mandatory, but you can organize better you develoments if you make an scenario for a "real scenario" like a file to soap integration, you can define it like a configuration scenario.
    Regards.

  • What is integration scenario & integration process in IR?

    hi friends
1).  can any one explain me about Integration scenario and Integration processes in "INTEGRATION REPOSITORY"?
2).  why we need to use this IS & IP(integration scenario and integration processes?
3).  what is advantage of using IS & IP(integration scenario and integration processes?
if you have any related links and documents please refer to me..................
    Thanks in Advance
    chinthapatla.bharat

    Hi Bharat,
    Integration Scenario
An integration scenario completely models the exchange of
messages for a collaborative process and provides an overview of the process flow.
It is overview of your whole integration scenario. In Integration Scenario each Swimlane represents a different business system. Mean you will have number of swimlanes as number of business system involved in your integration. Swimlane contains action. Actions are used for mentioning Inbound and outbound interfaces for the corresponding swimlane(business system).
Why we are using Integration Scenario?
We use integration scenario to genearate Integration Directory objects like Receiver Determination, Interface determination, Sender agreeement etc.
All XI content objects must be assigned to one or more integration scenarios (IS). Delivering XI-Content in the framework of an IS has the following advantages:
    1. The IS provides you with a central point of access for all integration objects. This is necessary for semantic and technical integration and facilitates business-driven development.
    2. The IS helps customers to understand the underlying business scenario of XI content objects.
    3. The IS serves as a kick-start for the configuration of the content at the customer site. The aim is to minimize the configuration effort for the customer.

  • Whats the difference between PROCESS INTEGRATION & INTEGARTION PROCESS

    hey All
I was just going through one of the tutorials provided in
http://www.help.sap.com  , its related to Process Integartion Scenario  and i also came across one more tutorial related to Integration Process.
For * Process Integration* it was there like *A Process Integration scenario is a design object of the Enterprise Services Builder, is uniquely identified by a name and a namespace, and is subject to versioning.*
    url : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/ec/21ee117a909f44a8b69794b9ed6221/content.htm
for Integration Process it was +*An integration process is an executable cross-system process for processing messages. In an integration process you define all the process steps to be executed and the parameters relevant for controlling the process.
You apply integration processes when you want to define, control, and monitor complex business processes that extend across enterprise and application boundaries. So my question is , whether both are same or different , as far my view it different , i think integration processes is one of term inside Process integration as told in URL , please guys see to this

    Hi Abhishek,
Integration process (IP) refers to BPM. you will find the IP in the ccBPM, Business Process Management.
An integration process is an executable, cross-system process for processing messages.
Process Integration(PI), Now Xi is known as Process Integration PI is a term that is used to in  the Integration Broker of the NetWeaver Architecture.

  • Process Integration Handbook - useful links - permission denied

    Hi!
in the PI 7.1 EhP1 Handbook there are two obviously useful links. Unfortunately I get an "Access Denied" error in SMP although I have a valid SMP user ID with Partner Status.
Does anybody know how to get these to files?
3.1.2 Updating from SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 to EHP 1 for NetWeaver PI 7.1
If you have already installed SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1, you can update to SAP enhancement package 1 (EHP

The following documents show how this works for a typical database and operating system:
Update Guide to EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 (SMP login required)
This guide explains how to update your system from PI 7.1 to EHP 1 for PI 7.1. It also describes how
to configure and run a simple process integration scenario.
Update Demo to EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 (SMP login required)
This demo shows how to update your system from PI 7.1 to EHP 1 for PI 7.1. It also shows you how
to configure and run a simple process integration scenario.
The URLs for both documents are:

    Hi!
I can access all other material in SMP and I can also download software. This does not seem to be the problem. I think SAP has accidentially not released these two documents for customers and partners.

  • Using of Integration Scenario in a Abap Proxy to JDBC receiver synchronous

    Hi ,
Can any one help me out  how to go about for creating Integraion scenario in ESR as i'm new to the use of Integration scenario..
its an Abap proxy to Jdbc synchronous scenario... kindly help in this regards.

    Hi Indudhar,
Right click on the namespace where you want to create the IS and say new, Select process integration scenario option, give a suitable name and say OK.
In the Component View section right click on the first grey column and Insert a sender Application component. Enter ur product and the software component version. Like wise in the next grey column enter the target Application component.
Now go to the top level menu and click on view and select grid.
Now right click on each App. component and insert the created actions. If the scenario is sync then the actions will be side by side otherwise the target one will be in the next grid of the target app. component.
After entering the actions click on the source action then press shift and click on the target action, right click and choose create connection between the two actions.
Fill in the info and then save.

  • Multiple message mappings in one integration scenario

I am trying to send a message to a marketplace that uses a web service interface. First I have to map the SRM PO to OAGIS XML, then This must be embedded in the message of the web service which requires a further mapping. In the integration scenario in the repository it seems straight forward, however the configuration of the scenario in the directory seems a little strange. This becaue the middle step does not really have an eternal receiver, as it must stay in the integration engine until the final conversion. Is it actually possible to perform several mapping in series or must I use an integration process for the middle mapping?

    Andrew,
I am addressing the same problem as follows.
If you need a canonical mapping (such as OAGIS in your example) you need 2 mappings for 3 messages A(source) to B(canonical) to C(target). If you try to use XI (without BPM) as an action between the source and the target need to configure a channel in and out which as far as I can see is not possible.
When setting multi-mapping you seem to only have the folowing options:
Multiple source and multiple targets but this seems to limit you to one mapping program.
Multiple mappings if I have only one source and one target.
I think this is designed to map one or many sources to one or many targets in one mapping program.
Also you can apply a series of mapping programs to a single source and target pair.
If I understand Michal's solution you would define A as the source and C as the target. You then use multi mapping to get to the final result, but I think this is still on a single source and target. A second solution is to include multiple mappings as additional modules in the channel adpator.
To take advantage of the canonical approach I am using a simple integration process with a receive and send step. All this realy does is get round the problem you highlight of having to have channels for the middle action in your integration scenario. This is an overhead but does allow you to add splitting and combining messages if needed in the future without much additional configuration.
I can't see an easy option without BPM. Maybe there is an alternative but I can't find it. Maybe a next release of XI could include an interface mapping configuration that allows a sequnce of mapping betweem multiple pairs of maps:
    Seq  Source -
    Mapping Program   -
    Target
    1 -
      Message A  -
      Mapping Program 1 -
        Message B
    2 -
       Message B  -
      Mapping Program 2 -
        Message C
    I hope this helps.

  • Disk Utility: after creating the .DMG (compressed image) When "scan image for restore" finishes it displays "unable to scan (internal error)". Since the process was scanning for about 1 hr is this a fake warning?

External 500GB drive is partitioned with 400GB for Mac OS extended (journalling) and 2nd partition formatted today as "ExFAT".
Yesterday I tried to create a disk image of my HD to no avail - this was compressed on a FAT partition. I got a warning after running the <scan image for restore> saying "unable to scan (internal error)"
I rang Apple support who suggested formatting a partition as MAC OS extended (journalling) and choose to save the image as "read/write'. The image process stopped writing at about 200GB and then the file size jumped to 499GB (ie the size of the HD). But the process did nothing for about an hour so I foce quit disk utility (as suggested by apple support)
My current attempt was to format the external drive again; this time with a 400GB Mac OS extended (journal) format; plus a 100GB ExFAT format partition. The new image was created after about 2.5hrs with a compressed size of 149GB. However, after running the "scan image for restore" facility I got the warning message "unable to scan filename " (internal error). The process was scanning the image file according to the progress bar - this took about hour - thus the warning is a puzzle.
If anyone can say more about this error I would really appreciate knowing tips for using disk utility. The screen grab is below.
"unable to scan filename " (internal error)
    thanks

Thanks for a quick reply <baltwo>. You’ve answered that it is not a fake message!
fyi: I thought that I would use my external Buffalo for two purposes; namely the smaller ExFAT partition for copying stuff to my win7 netbook. The larger partition was to be used as my imac image of SL. So this was my first attempt at using disk utility - the idea being to hold an image backup at another location. Plus I now have the Lion thumbdrive ready to upgrade from SL and so being cautious wanted to have a SL image backup
Anyway I followed the apple instructions using my mac 10.6.3 install DVD but it would appear from other discussions that <unable to scan (internal error)> is not unique to me.
I’ll get back to apple telephone support for further advice.
I would though be grateful for an “idiots’ guide to making an image backup of my internal HD that runs SL 10.6.8
eg should I have just one partition on the external USB drive? format it as Mac OS extended? create the image as compressed or read/write? Basically I’ll do whatever will work!!
    thanks again
