Unable to install Acrobat Reader and Acrobat Flash Player

Hello,
I am trying to install Acrobat reader and acrobat flash player on my Laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad T420) after installing windows 8.1 64 bits, after successfully downloading both software, the adobe reader installer opens with a dark grey box and nothing else happens.
The installer can't be closed except from the task manager.
I have tried to start as administrator, enable javascript, different browsers, restart the laptop, ... all gave me the same result.
Below image shows what i am receiving.
Kindly advise.

Run the Acrobat Cleaner Tool and reinstall from scratch.

Installing both Reader and Acrobat 0 Standard

Is it possible to install both Reader and Acrobat 9 Standard on the same computer?
I want to be able to make sure whatever I produce in Standard will work and open up in Reader or any other PDF viewer someone might use.

I have both the reader and Pro on my computer, however, there are some issues with default actions, such as opening documents.
Is there some kind of guide to setup both reader and Pro on the same computer, just have them do different functions?

Adobe Reader X can only save reader-enabled forms. Adobe Reader XI can save all forms.

Why does Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash player keep installing McaFee Security Scan on my system?

Whenever I install the Adobe Flash player or Adobe Reader on my system, it downloads and installs McAfee Security Scan Plus at the same time. It does not ask if I want it or not, it instead forces it on me, so I have to then unistall it. I've unistalled it 3 or 4 times in the last week. I DO NOT WANT MCAFEE PRODUCTS on my computer!
Please make this an option, give the users a choice so we don't have to keep removing the stupid thing.

Did you 'Uncheck" the relevant box pointed by the red arrow ? If not you accepted the installation with McAfee.

Does latest Acrobat Reader have a flash player built in?

I have just rolled out a 3D training presentation to a small group of technicians for a field trial. Most of the techs have old versions of reader, so I have suggested that they download the lastest Reader version. So far this has worked for most, but some are still having issues viewing the content. Are there some cases where Reader needs to be updated along with a Flash update?

Does it have Flash Player "built in" - technically, yes.
Do you still need to install the external NPAPI Flash Player plugin? YES.

Unable to install an upgrade for adobe flash player

I am was prompted to update the adobe flash player on my computer and I am not able to. Also, I have adobe air installed and I am not able to uninstall it.

Even though I uninstalled Adobe Reader & Adobe Flash Player and reinstalled the latest versions, I still cannot open PDF files. They always try to open in Word 2010.

This is a Windows setting. In Windows 7 you can change it through the Control Panel: Either Start>Default Programs or Start>Control Panel>Programs>Default Programs>Set Associations
Find .pdf and change it (click Change Program) from Microsoft Word to Adobe Reader. Browse to find the Reader application if necessary: Program Files>Adobe>Reader11>Reader>AcroRd.exe

Both Acrobat Reader and Acrobat x Pro MAc 10.1.4 crash

This is very annoying.
Where can I get support for this? I have sent in numerous crash logs, re-installed repeatedly, tried to use Time Machine all to no avail.
Which aprt of Adobe Support deals with this please?

The only thing common I think I see is Fonts. Unless the acrobat Fonts are removed they are no installed upon a reinstall.
If you using a Mac use FontBook to look at find bad fonts or repair fonts Also Mountain Lion (OSX.8.x) is the toughest/Strictest on Fonts than any other previous system.

entering the data on to the application i need to get a pdf file in
the web browser , but at certain time i could see the following
message ."Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in your web browser
.Reader will exit now. Please try again". I have adobe reader in my
machine.Do i need to make any settings in the IE . if so please let
me know

Now for the gist of what you asked. There is a huge
difference between Acrobat Reader and Acrobat. One uses Acrobat as
the application used to create content that is later viewed by
someone with the basic Acrobat reader. The reader is a free
download for all. You have to purchase Acrobat in order to create
content that you produce for the reader to present.
Hopefully that makes a bit of sense. If not, try posting the
same question over in the Acrobat forums and see what someone
replies with.

I am using interop acrobat dll in one of my client , when trying to open a pdf file in acrobat X the following message appears :

i am trying to convert the pdf to tiff image using

i tried downloading the flash player ,now the error does not appear but for those pdf that displays this flash message error i am not getting the pdf converted to tiff file , instead i get an image with message

Unable to install Active X and Flash Plugin for Acrobat

I would like to create a PDF Portfolio in Acrobat Pro XI. However, once I have selected the files I get a notification that states, "To view the Flash technology content in this PDF file, please install this version of Flash Player that supports Adobe Reader and Acrobat." When I click the buttom "Proceed to download page," it brings me to this page: Acrobat Help | Flash Player needed | Acrobat, Reader XI
The problem is, the two download links for Windows don't seem to be working. Is this an across the board issue or is it just me? How can I go about installing these required plugins?

I checked the link to install flash player and it is working fine.
If the 'Flash Player Active X' and 'Flash Player Plug-ins ' are already installed in your system, then first uninstall them.
For that, please go to Control Panel>Programs and Features and click uninstall.
Also, check whether you have an updated Acrobat version i.e. 11.0.09 by clicking Help>Check for Updates
Now, restart your system and install the Flash Player from the same link you tried earlier.
I hope this will work fine now.

Installation Media for Adobe Acrobat Reader and Flash without Extra Software

Is there a Installation Media format for Adobe Acrobat Reader and Flash which does not have McAfee, Google Chrome or Google Toolbar associated with the installation? This deployment is for a IT department. We do not want Google Chrome, Toolbar, or McAfee installed on our workstation, and we want to prevent our users from installing them when performing the upgrades to newer versions. We want installation media without the extra software for deployment. Does Adobe supply these?
