Unable to install Adobe CS3 Web Premium on Leopard

Everytime I try to install Adobe CS3 Web Premium I get the error message something like "Unable to install. Your file system is not supported". I formatted my system drive with hfs case-sensitive, could this be the problem.

I don't know if this as anything to do with it but on Tiger, CS3 didn't install if Safari 3 was installed. Nor dit it uninstall. I had to remove Safari 3 to install or uninstall CS3.
I know that you can't easily remove Safari 3 from Leopard.
Just a thought

  • Unable to install Adobe CS3 Web Premium

A few days ago, I opened my Adobe Photoshop CS3 Web Premium and it told me I cannot use it anymore. Same with Adobe Fireworks. It was running fine previously until THAT day.
I was told by the error message to uninstall or reinstall the progam, which I did. But after uninstalling and installing CS3 again, only Adobe Acrobat was successful. All other components failed.
    Please help.

A similar problem has been discussed on the Creative Suite forum:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx?128@@.3c05199a
It appears to be an Acrobat issue, but it prevents other suite applications from starting. There's a fix published by Adobe, that seemed to resolve most problems:

  • Adobe CS3 Web Premium DVD or software (Windows)

I've recently needed to re-install Adobe CS3 Web Premium for Windows, and as it turns out the DVD is defective. I contacted Adobe for a replacement, and they informed me that they had neither the DVD nor the software that I could download. They said my only option was tio pay for the upgrade to CS34
I am looking for help in the Adobe community. Would someone be willing to make me a copy of the software? I have a valid retail license and only need the DVD or software download. I would reimburse you for the media and any shipping you may incur. Thanks

  • Unable to resolve installation error for Adobe CS3 Web Premium despite referring to given solution

    Hi,
I own a copy of Adobe CS3 Web Premium from a few years ago that was bundled with my Fujitsu Lifebook T5010 on Windows Vista.  I wish to install the CS3 Web Premium onto my Acer Aspire X3990 desktop that is running on Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 on 64-bit operating system type. However, the installer prompts the following error: "This software cannot be installed because JScript is not properly registered. Please repair JScript and then restart the installer".
Checking with Adobe website, I came across the following support page: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-2739-installer-closes-cs3.html
whereby it says the solution is to manually register the jscript.dll file. I followed the procedure exactly for that of 64-bit system, but then the following new error pops up when I enter in "regsvr32 jscript.dll" onto Administrator: Command Prompt on C:\Windows\SysWow64 : "The module "jscript.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80004005. For more information about this problem, search online using the error code as a search term."
One thing I note is that on the Adobe web link, the operating system mentioned is Vista, while I am currently running Windows 7.
Please help, as the few solutions I found on Google search are mostly repeated calls to ensure that the command prompt is run at Administrator level, which I already am doing so. I need something more than telling me what I had already done but not resolved.
I am asking the same question in parallel to the Microsoft Community page as well, as I do not know where exactly the issue lies with. I hope both sides can give a clear resolution.
I really need help in enabling me to use Adobe CS3 again, as my Fujitsu laptop that ran it without problems had since died off already.

  • Adobe CS3 Web Premium no longer works after upgrade to OS X Lion

After upgrading my OS to Lion, Fireworks from Adobe CS3 Web Premium has been rendered useless.  The color picker no longer works at all, and the program generally crashes within 30-60 seconds of being opened.
    Help!

    Jill,
I've been banging my head against a wall on this one, trying to figure out what to do.
The 2 solutions I have are: (1) reformat drive and re-install SL or (2) upgrade to CS5.5. Reverting back to SL is going to be a time consuming task considering format, itunes backup, data backup and reinstall everything and I'm not ready to upgrade CS 3 to 5.5 for around a $1000....
I needed to get back up and running quickly, so I purchasd a couple colorpickers from the app store for a couple dollars. This at least gets me back up and running again. They work well. Not a perfect solution but considering the alternatives, the best fix I have right now.
For everyone else that hasn't upgraded to Lion, yet. Carefully consider the software compatibility before upgrading to Lion. If you do media, web or application development, it may break your color pickers or more... check Adobe's or your software developer's site for Lion compatibility for the software you use.

  • How do I install Adobe CS4 Web Premium?

Hello, I recently bought Adobe CS4 Web Premium. I'm running Windows XP 64-bit. When I was trying to download the software, I got confused on which CD to install first (Application 1, Application 2, or Content). I figured to install Application 1. When I finished installing Application 1 it asked me to insert disk 1. Does anybody know which CD to install first?

    Those are DVD's, not CD's.
I would do what the installer says.
Are you putting the DVD's into a DVD reader?

  • Is it possible to install & operate CS3 web Premium On A Vista 64 Bit O.S.?

I am using a H.P. Pavillion Desktop, with 4 gigs of Ram & a 500 Gig Hard drive,  partitioned into: ('C', as primary Drive, Free space: 318 Gigs ) & ('D' as my factory image Drive, Free space: 1.47 Gigs). Operating System Windows Vista, Home Premium, 64 BIT, with recently installed Service Pack 2.
I have been trying, for the past 2 days, to install Adobe C S 3, Web Premium ( on DVD's) to this System, with no luck at all.
The Progress Activity Screen boogies along, fine, until it it suddenly stops, with the following notice appearing:
" Currently repairing Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional ( At install, older versions get upgraded )"
At this point, a smaller screen opens, with the heading: ' Copying Files', bearing the message: " C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe 8.0\.. \AdobePDF.dll.
At the same time, a second smaller screen also appears with the heading: " Files needed" and the following message:
" The file Adobe PDF.dll on Windows Vista CD Rom is needed. Type the path where the file is located and then click ok"
    Copy files from:
    C:\ Program Files (86)\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat or Browse.
this whole exercise causes the  installation to abort. A technote from Adobe identifies this problem & offers a solution: " (1)When the error occurs, click ' Cancel ' to exit the Dialog, and continue with the installation. Great idea, but the installation automatically finishes at this point, and shuts down. (2) Install the Microsoft Hot Fix as documented in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article # 930627, available at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930627. Attempts to download this Hot fix results in another Error message from the Microsoft Website which advises that this Hot fix is not applicable to my system.
    (3) Update Acrobat to Version 8.1 or later. The Acrobat Update is available on the Adobe Website at www.adobe.com/support/downloads/.  It is not possible to download the Acrobat Upgrade because the Original Acrobat 8.0 has not been installed from the aborted CS3 installation attempt.
In the meantime, the TECHNOTE continues to advise the following: " Because the Adobe PDF printer is not supported on 64-bit operating systems, the 64-bit Version of the AdobePDF.dll does not get extracted during installation. Thus, the installer is unable to locate it. While Acrobat is installed, the Adobe PDF Printer will not be installed. Following the update procedure above, wil address the issue.  This is incorrect because the Abobe Acrobat program has not been installed & the CS 3 program installation is aborted or " Finished". Does anybody out there have any ideas on how this bloody mess can be resolved. Seems like something is really screwed up, and I'm getting really frustrated!!!

It installs both automatically, there's no option to not install the 32-bit version.

  • Silent install Adobe CS3 Production Premium Issue

    Hi folks,
I've ran into a problem when trying to roll at CS3 PP onto Windows 7 PCs.
I got instructions on how to do this from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402715.html but I've ran into a snag in that I have been able to generate the install.xml file ok but when the command runs it works away for a wee while then I get: -
End Adobe Setup. Exit code: 7
I'm using the following command string:-
    \\qms03\cip$\AdobeCS3PP\AdobeCS3\setup.exe --mode=silent --deploymentFile=\\qms03\cip$\AdobeCS3PP\AdobeCS3\install.xml
I've had a look around the Internet and can't find a solution this and I wonder has anyone ever came across it before and do you know how I can solve it so I can get the application installed?
Your help would be much appreciated!

  • Unable to install CS6 Design & Web Premium

I have a valid serial number, so trying to install CS6 direct download. I'm unable to extract the .7z file. If I try running the .exe file, I get a message stating that I either don't have privileges or there's not enough disk space. I'm logged into an admin account and there's plenty of disk space. This message is then followed by several more error messages. I've checked the forums and haven't found a thread that addresses the same problem. Although this website indicates chat is available, for the life of me, I'm can't get to a point where I can open a chat with a live person. I just end up back at the support start page. It seems Adobe has gone the way of cellphone and cable companies when it comes to customer support. Or lack thereof.

You have not provided any system info, so we can't really know. Your phrasing as "an admin" account is suspicious, since not all admins do necessarily have all privileges and being an admin and having administrative privileges are different things. Likewise, while you may have plenty of disk space, you may not have it in the right locations like your user temp folder. Anyway, without exact details it's impossible to figure out what is wrong here.

  • Updating Java in CS3 Web Premium

    Hi to all-
I have just purchased and installed Adobe CS3 Web Premium and my security programs are flagging Adobe Version Cue and Adobe Flash as vulnerabilities since the Java is outdated. (The flash player was also outdated, but I installed the latest NPSWF32.dll into each program). My system (win xp media sp3) has the latest version of Java installed (6.0.70.6), and I am wondering if I delete the java components from these two programs, if they will link to the latest version on the pc?
Any and all suggestions/info will be very welcome!
    All the best-

Well, what a drag. I like Dreamweaver for some things, but
for doing web dev when you are coding stuff yourself I think
HomeSite is one of the cleanest code gen tools I ever came accross.
I like it because it seems to mangle your own written code the
least of any tool when used back and forth from "source code" to
    "design" modes.
