Unable to install adobe Flaah player

Hello,
I am new to this so bear with me, I am on my laptop with Internet 7, and windows 64 bit I was uable to install adobe flash player. I was getting all flags from you tube and my on line school that I needed to update my flash player. So I went to adobe and down loaded the free upgrade. I could not get past step 2 of the 3 part process.
1.) First time it was because it already existed, so I went in and uninstalled the flash player I did hve (i had already tried the update your version, through adobe, they unistall and reinstall for you) this was a bad idea now I have no flash pllayer and it will not get past part 2.
2.) Second flag I was getting was the internet was open and I could not install a new program. Frustrating because I had to have the internet open to install the flash player. So I tried to save and run, and nope 60% and could not install. I have tried saving it to a disk and a flash drive, nothing. It should not be this hard???
So I save it onto my computer when itt prompted to run. I saved as HEELLLPPPP I saved under adobe updat. CLosed out everything and found the app, I ran the app I save and OMG! I now have adobe Flash player 12 I about had a heart attack! I had to immediately back track what I had did, I had tried so many things I wasn't sure which idea actually worked.
To the people that knew this be happy for me I am spreading my wings! to the people this helps I am so happy that you can finally get answers! If this doesnt help, I am so sorry I do not know what to do for you? I could possibly go over other things I had tried, but I have a good feeling that this will work
Thake care and good luck!!!

It's all right. ColdFusion is a computer language for developing applications and web pages.
As you already have Windows, Internet Explorer is free. To get it, just click on the link at the end of my last post.
Alternatively, perhaps even better, you can install it by means of Windows Update. To do so, launch whichever version of Internet Explorer you currently have. I am assuming you have internet access. Then proceed as follows:
1) Go to the Tools menu and select Windows Update.
2) Click on the link Check for updates. Windows will then automatically check for updates. The result is a list of updates, which usually includes the latest version of Internet Explorer for your machine.
3) Install the updates.
Incidentally. you don't have to study Computer Science to be able to do ColdFusion. Who knows, perhaps you will return here one day, as a ColdFusion programmer!
Good luck with your schoolwork!

Unable to install Adobe Flash Player iniMAC with OS X 10.7.2 Lion. Any suggestions?

I have administrative prviledges.
I obtained the latest version from the Adobe website.
When I double click on the .dmg file I receive a message that I need to close open browsers which I do.
Then I get a message stating that Adobe will be installed when I reopen browers.
Finally when I check the Applications folder I find a file titled: Install Adobe Flash Player.
This same application is shown in the dock.
When I click in the file in either the Applications folder or the dock, the complete installation process starts again.
Any suggestions?

Open your browser, IE or Firefox presumably, (or both, other) go to tools/add ons and disable or unistall all of your add ons. Go to tools/clear recent hist, all caches/check all/everything. Go to control panel/programs and features, uninstall all flash players listed, then go to and run disk cleanup start/all progs/accessories/system tools/disk cleanup, check all, delete, then go back to Adobe site in default browser and try download again.

As a note, running with no anti-virus software is a very bad choice. I would try installing Microsoft security Essentials, [http://microsoft.com/security_essentials http://microsoft.com/security_essentials] to stay safe with a free but light weight anti-virus.

• Unable to install adobe flash player/firefox/

hours of work alone and with amazon support and still unsucessful at installing adobe flash player. Message says it has been successfully installed, but every t ry at using amazon prime's streaming video gets message it is not installed.
Read that it cannot be straightforwardly installed on Windows 7 operating system when firefox is the browser.
I hope someone can provide me with clear, straightford ward directions about how to do this. Think of telling your grandmother how: mini steps, where to look for the icons or directions you are talking about. single click or double....
Trust me, I worked with an Amazonll technician for over one hour, tried to install aat least 20 times and failed (remember it "tells me" it has been installed, but it ain't working)
So, what are the secrets?
More thanks than you can possibly imagine from one frustrated firefox user.
Marie

There are two different versions of Flash, the '''''ActiveX''''' version for IE and the '''Plugin''' version used by most other browsers.
1.Download the Flash Plugin version setup file from here:
[http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version].
Save it to your Desktop.
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
4. Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
* On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen).
See this:
• Unable to install Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX -- Error 1722

Hi,
I am unable to install Flash Player 11.5.502.149 on Windows 8. The error reported is:
Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action NewCustomAction1, location: C:\Users\Nick\AppData\Local\Temp\InstallAX_11_5_502_146.exe, command: -install -msi
We have tried running uninstall_flash_player.exe to try and clean things up but this still fails. Is there a known problem with installing Flash player ActiveX on Windows 8? Flash player Plugin works fine just the ActiveX version which does not.
Thanks,
Nick

Flash Player on IE10 for Windows 8 is delivered by Microsoft; use Windows Update to obtain the latest Flash Player version.

• Unable to install Adobe flash player silently while IE is running.

How to install Adobeflash player Active x while IE is running. I have tried with .exe and .MSI also error is showing same even it's not happening manually also.Have any Idea?

In our environment we got around this by using the Powershell app Deploy Toolkit. (http://psappdeploytoolkit.com)
What we did was we created an Application using the application model and the deployment type would only run when a user was logged on and the user was allowed to interact. This prompts the user to close IE and other browsers or defer installation up to
five times.
We created a second deployment type that would only run when no user was logged on. In this deployment type we took advantage of the powershell app deploy toolkits ability to run in NonInteractive mode.
Its more work than previous years and it hassles your users to some extent but the way I.T. is now moving towards a more self-service approach e.g. app stores and BYOD. This is another example of opening the doors a little bit.
