Hi, i download Adobe Illustrator CS3 Trial from adobe site.
when i install the trial it gives me error message
"A problem occured while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privilegs on the destination folder."
update my window installer but that's help me not.
Plz solve my problem. i want to install Adobe Illustrator CS3
on my PC with
AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual
Core processor 4600+
2.4 Ghz
2 GB Ram
XP Service pack 2

Installing Adobe illustrator cs3- no file for setup

My computer is :
iMac
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4（11E53）
I want to install Adobe Illustorator CS3, but couldn't find
"Setup（Macintosh）"file in "Adobe Illustrator CS3" folder.
I could find "Setup.exe" file, but couln't start with this file.
Is this mean that this is not for mac OS?
Please tell me how I can start installing. Thank you.

Not sure, but I believe in CS3 it was still called "Install Illustrator CS3" All you should need is to mount the DMG file and than run that. Perhaps if you provide a screenshot we might advise further...

Unable to install Adobe Illustrator CS5

Hello,
I am using windows 7 in which few adobe products like PhotoshopCS5, Dreamweaver CS5, Firework CS5 had already been installed. I was trying tri install Illustrator CS5 but it was in vain.
The no. of times I tried, it failed at the same point & getting stucked at "Suite Shared Configuration CS5" (20% completed), asking "Please insert Disk Adobe Illustrator CS5 to continue"
I have tried the same keeping the adobe illustrator installer in the DVD, Pendrive as well on the Hard Disk, but none of it worked. Please suggest the steps of installing it successfully.

Sounds like a conflict with one of the already installed packages. Impossible to tell without the install logs, but obviously uninstalling those otehr programs/ eradicating them with the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool might get AI installed...

i recently bought the cs3 design premium and when I go to install illustrator it tells me to insert illustrator cs4.
I had the cs4 demo on my computer and I uninstalled it but I am still getting this message.

You need to run the clean up script in order to get the obsolete license files removed.

Adobe Illustrator CS3: Fatal error during installation

Hello,
I just bought the AI CS3. It installed OK on my friend's laptop (windows). However, when I clicked the big button in the installation:
"Install Adobe Illustrator CS3"
A window showed:
Initializing Adobe Illustrator...
Then I got a message:
"Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe customer Support for assistance. Fatal error during installation".
I've tried several times. My computer meets all the requirements (it's a really new and faster PC). And there's no old versions of AI on it yet.
Can anyone help? Thanks!!!

Do you have any other Adobe products on your computer? When I installed CS3 on my Mac, I kept getting failures. After contacting Adobe, they told me I had to delete ALL other Adobe products -- including Flash and Adobe Reader. Plus, I had to do searches and delete any support files associated with them. It took hours!

I don't have Webshots installed. I have ran my AdAware and Spybot, and my Norton's Antivirus. I've also defragged and ran disk cleanup on my C drive. I've ran the Malicious Software Removal from Microsoft, and ran Disk Error Checking. I've done everything I can think of, and I still can't install either one.
I was thinking it was Windows Vista, but surely CS4 is compatible with Windows Vista. I thought maybe it might be the Service Pack 1 and thought about uninstalling that update, trying to install them, then reinstall Service Pack 1. What do you think? Think it might help?

There are no single core Intel iMacs. The OP has a Intel Core Duo (Yonah) processor which is still dual core but just 32bit rather than the 64bit Core 2 Duos used in subsequent Macs.
The system requirements only call for a G4 and 512MB RAM. Although I would agree that upgrading to 2GB would be sensible:

Adobe Illustrator CS3 13.0.2 update - German failed installing on Mac OS 10.9

...after installing the software on an new macbook pro with mac OS 10.9 the

As a first step though I would recommend reviewing the installation log files for the update. MAC Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3

When I installed Illustrator CS3 at the first time, I didn't complete it and closed it. While I installed it again, it said "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3". I was be stopped on this step, so I deleted the Illustrator CS3 from Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers without clicking it to uninstall. And I deleted other Illustrator CS3 files. After that, I tried to reinstall Illustrator CS3 again, but it kept to say "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3".
I cannot find any Illustrator in my MAC. What is wrong? How can I install Illustrator again? Should I format the computer and install all the applications again?

On the Adobe site probably under support do a search for Adobe CS 3 Clean Up Script.
Before running the script read the instructions al the instructions first, do not assume you understand from reading the first sentence. There are some files that are not so obvious that are necessary for activation and they are probably still around but they can only be removed by the script.
Next time you will have to read the instructions.
The only other ways around this is the do an archival reinstall of your system or if that does not work a complete reinstall of your system. Running the script is the easier and better way to do this but you must read the instructions completely first.

Trying to remove Adobe Illustrator CS3 for a re-install

I am trying to remove Adobe Illustrator CS3 for a re-install but have come across some problems in the process.
I am working in Windows XP SP2
When I go to uninstall, the Adobe screen won't let me proceed because updates have been made to the software since I've installed it. However, I can't get into Illustrator because of a "fatal serial number error" (I do have the purchased software -- it's not pirated).
Any suggestions on how to proceed?

My adobe illustrator CS3 won't work with OS X Yosemite

after installing OS X Yosemite software upgrade my Adobe Illustrator CS3 will not open with the ability to use the tools, only as a Read only file. I was told to install JavaForOSX2014-001 but that has not helped.

Yes I am having the same exact issue. CS6 works fine except for InDesign. I have used the Java Legacy Updater with no help to the scenario. Just bounces up/down and then gives me this nice little error message, which I get repeatedly:
