Unable to install any adobe product

Recently I uninstalled my Adobe InCopy and InDesign (CS6) applications using the Adobe installer. Something went wrong with one of them, as it did not properly uninstall CS6 and instead displayed an uninstaller error.
I've been troubleshooting for a couple of days now, installed the Adobe Cleaner tool and used it, went through tons of forum posts and the result is what I can only describe as a disaster.
Currently I am unable to install pretty much any Adobe product as every installer gives an error when trying to run it.
A list of the issues I have found:
- Adobe Application Manager does install, but produces a "Download error. Please contact customer support." with a Quit button when opening it.
- Adobe InCopy CS6 and InDesign CS6 installers fail with the message
- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC hangs on 90% for a while during installing and then says "Installation failed"
- Consequently, trying to download a Photoshop trial also gives the same error when it tries to launch the Application Manager.
- I do seem to be able to download Creative Cloud separately, but when it opens (which takes a while) I just get an eternal spinner.
I'm using a Mac with OS X Yosemite (10.10.2). Previous to the errors I had been able to run Adobe products for over a year without issues.

Hi Koen,
As we are encountering a couple of errors, let’s try to take them down one by one.
Firstly, let’s work on Download error and spinning wheel.
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error-downloading-cc-apps.html
App doesn't open | Progress wheel spins continually
Kindly try these links and share the results so that we proceed further.
Thanks,

    Hi,
I was unable to install anything of adobe. When I install creative suit and update Photoshop I got this error.
I tried everything. Nothing worked. So I did a cleansweep of Adobe and restart. I tried installing a try version of Adobe Photo shop, but that will also not install....
How can I solve this? Thanks

I tried most of that, it is not a rights issue. The log is clear about the reason for failure, but adobe has no support on these...
    The strange thing is that
This folder or file does not exist.  /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Profiles
So could that be the issue?

  • Why is that when I install any Adobe Product it slows my computer down?

Why is that when I install any Adobe Product it slows my computer down?

You really need to provide more information than this.

  • I have increasing problems using Firefox to surf the net. I cannot install ANY Adobe product. I have no ability to see and hear ANY videos. Today I cannot access the Earthlink website, although I can on Internet Explorer.

I always get error message such as my plug-ins are disabled or I need the newer version of Adobe or Java programs. When I download and install them, they do not work and I get the same error messages.

I should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Using other browsers the window or frame of the game is much larger, therefore everything shows.

I don't what's the problem. many people have this problem but they had not found the relevant thing in the log file. With this information provided please tell me what to do????

Download the clean u script for CS 4 fro the Adobe site you have to search for it.
Then try this, create a new user account and log in to this account and the try to install from there.
Since this ihe Mac forum I assume yu are on a Mac so if that fdoes not work try a safe boot and then install.
A Safe Boot is rebooting while holding down the shift key until you see the safe boot welcome screen.
    then try to install.
Oops this is the illustrator forum cross platform sorry I do not know how to safe boot on the PC.

  • Unable to download any Adobe product?

I tried to d/l Flash, I already had Adobe Reader 8 but everytime I tried to do the d/l it would crash all my open browser pages and give me this error
    - A malfunctioning or malicious add-on has caused Internet Explorer to close this webpage.
I uninstalled Reader 8 and tried to get a newer version - now I can't get anything.  I've done all the security scans - my anti-virus is uptodate.

You could try to download the offline installers (without the download manager)
Adobe Reader (English version 8.2): http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/8.x/8.2/enu/AdbeRdr820_en_US.msi
Adobe Reader (English version 9.3): http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3/enu/AdbeRdr930_en_US.exe

  • Application Manager Stalls When Updating Any Adobe Product

I'm a CS6 Master Collection owner, and I've been dealing with this issue for a couple of months now.
Whenever I try to update or install any Adobe product, the Application Manager launches but then does nothing.
I can see that it is active in the OS X dock, and I can see that the process is running in the Acitivity Monitor.  However, Application Manager is "Not Responding" (right click on icon) and absolutely nothing happens. I'm completely unable to install, uninstall, update, or otherwise alter any Adobe application that uses the Application Manager (which, to my knowledge, is *everything*).
The only thing left to try is to compltely blow away my CS6 installation with the Cleaner Script, which I am reluctant to do.  Before I do, I'm hoping someone can help me with less drastic measures.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi,
Please try to install the patch available at following link:

  • Problems installing any Adobe CS software

    Hello.
I wanted to try out Photoshop, inDesign and Illustrator CS5.
I already had photoshop CS4 installed. However after installing windows 7 64 bit (I had windows vista 32 bit before) I have huge problems installing any adobe product.
I had to install photoshop over night and the next day it wasn't even ready. At the beginning of the installation it says it would take about 15 minutes but after reaching 20% it already says 155 minutes. before having windows 7 64 bit I had no problems installing photoshop CS4 but any adobe product I try to install now (either cs4 or cs5) needs extremely long to install (if it even finishes) I usually cancel because I have o hope it will actually finish since "needed" time is constantly growing during the installation.
    My System :
    - windows 7 64 bit
    - intel core2quad 8300 (4x 2.5 Ghz)
    - 7 GB Ram
    - some medion motherboard
    - not the best drive but still enough. (360 GB)
I'll try to burn the data on a DVD now but it can't be that my drive is that slow.
If anyone has the same problems, or have some advices / solutions, please answer,
    thanks in advance.

I built a new computer so installed clean... but I have read that installing Win7 over anything else (upgrade) does not always work well compared to installing onto a freshly formatted drive

After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

  • Why is it that when I am trying to install an adobe product, I get 33% of the way through and then it gives me an error "unable to load metafile"??  It happened with Reader and now with Flashplayer.  With the Reader, I was able to find a different install

Why is it that when I am trying to install an adobe product, I get 33% of the way through and then it gives me an error "unable to load metafile"??  It happened with Reader and now with Flash player.  With the Reader, I was able to find a different installation link using the troubleshooting guide.  I cannot find the same with flash player.  Please tell me how to install Flash player because there is a website that I cannot even view without it.  BTW That is annoying that I cannot even see the website without flash player
    my system is XP

    Use these installers:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Flash Player for Mac OS X
For Adobe Reader go to http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

The error message reads " to open Adobe illustrator CS5.app, you need to install a JAva SE 6 runtime. Would you like to check and install one? I try to install but get the error" download error". As far as i know I'm using Adobe Java 7. None of my CS5 suite works anymore............and i really dont want to upgrade to a monthly cloud service fee as i hate this policy with a passion.

This goes for Dreamweaver CC on Mavericks!!!!! THANK YOU!
I couldn't launch Dreamweaver CC. An error told me to install "java se 6 runtime". But when I clicked  OK I got another error telling me there is a network problem! I found this forum post on CS6 products, so I tried the download link, installed java 6 and presto, it worked! Thanks!

and - check with Adobe - would strongly suspect you need to upgrade CS. Strongly consider Creative Cloud, access to the entire TypeKit alone is amazing.
