Unable to install Creative cloud applications

I just installed Mavericks on a iMac 21.5 2.8 Quad I7 computer. I also tried to install Adobe Creative cloud application and it errors out everytime.
The error code is as follows_
Exit Code: 7 please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example, ERROR: DF024
error(s) Payload: adobeColorCommonSet CMYK CC 5.0.0.0
Unable to preserve original file at "/Library/Colorsync/Profiles/Profiles" (seq 21)
Anyone know how I can fix this?
Thanks
KW

Perhaps something is either corrupted or off on permissions?
Try running repair of permissions and see if it goes OK after that.

  • Unable to install Creative Cloud

    Hello,
I have an extra seat who needs to use Creative Cloud for his job. He cannot install the Creative Cloud application and when trying to do so afresh, he constantly gets the error "Unable to install Creative Cloud Please close all active Adobe applications and retry your installation" message via the dmg image installer file. There are no other or active Adobe application on his iMac and no Adobe application running anywhere on the machine.
    iMac OS X 10.8.5, 2.9GHz.
The problem reoccurs even after navigating to the Applications/Utilities folder and putting the folders Adobe Application Manager folder and Creative Cloud to the Trash and emptying it. Then navigating to the Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder and renaming it to OOBE.old, then again downloading Creative Cloud desktop from the URL https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and trying again to install it.
Despite all of this, the same "Unable to install Creative Cloud Please close all active Adobe applications and retry your installation" message prompt comes up and the installation of the Creative Cloud application is abandoned.
This is a very frustrating experience. What is the workaround to get this appliaction installed so he can get on with his work as soon as possible?
    Paul

Sorry for taking so long but I was unable to access my pc. Now that I've got it here is the screenshot of the error. It's in italian:
    It says something like:
"There has been the following errors: a possible problem with Creative Cloud desktop. Download a new copy of Creative Cloud desktop and install it again".
As I said before even downloading it again I get the same file and the same error.
Please let me know if you need any other information.
    Thanks
    mario

    Hello.
I got new laptop for work use and I am installing creative cloud on it. However laptop ain't that fast and I am wondering that would it be possible to install creative cloud applications from shared windows folder, since I have downloaded and installed all creative cloud applications on my desktop machine already and laptop is intented for working while not at home.rpr
This would increase installing speed since all those needed files would be available from Local Area Network, which is faster and my broadband and it also would allow hard drive to focus on installing files instead of current simulataneous reading and writing to same hard drive.

That enough information? After chasing around the Adobe Help system for an hour and a half today and not being able to contact anyone at all yesterday when this forst started occuring, I'm kinda getting annoyed
Then getting on here and finding that my screen name (my own name, registered with Adobe and on the forums) isn't available, one could be excused for an excess of peevishness, I hope.

I finally found a solution that worked!
I had to find the adobe logs to understand what happened, and found this error "information not found in Media_db".
Here's the location of the solution: Re: Getting fatal Exit Code 34 when installing an app
And here's the answer copied and pasted from the page. I have windows 8 64 bit, but this solution worked for me. The downside was that it said many of my applications weren't installed in the CC app, so I had to hit reinstall on many of them, but everything installed and updated correctly after this.
I had the very same problem, and I am using windows 7 too. After chat with the adobe tech support. He showed me how to fix the problem.
Also, I tried the clean tool already. That didn't help.
    Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe   if you use 32bit system I think it would be C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe
    Change 3 folder name.
    Adobe PCD -> Adobe PCDold
    backup -> backupold
    caps -> capsold
Then run the setup file again.
This method worked for me. Hope that would work for you also and save you some time.

  • Am I permitted to install Creative Cloud applications on a 2nd computer?

I currently have all of my Creative Cloud software installed on my Mac, but I just found out that Premiere Pro for Mac has far fewer transitions than the Windows version.
Am I permitted to also install Premiere Pro on my PC so that I can have access to the additional features, or do I need to remove it from my Mac if I want it on the PC?

yes, you are permitted by the EULA to install on 2 machines with the understanding that you do not have them running at the same time. Previous versions had this same stipulation. Advantage of cloud over disk installs is that Cloud lets you install on either 2 Macs, 2 PCs, or one of each, as in your case.
    Hope that helps,

  • How do I re-install Creative Cloud applications?

After the last upgrade my CC programs don´t work. Error: "Can´t find the program". I have not removed any of the programs.
    Help!

In case of Windows go to Control panel and uninstall Indesign. If Mac go to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installer and uninstall Indesign. Run the cleaner tool: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html and remove traces of Indesign. Install AAM from the mentioned link and download/install Indesign CS6:

  • Unable to install Creative Cloud in Windows 8.1

I've also tryed installing Adobe Applications Manager as part of a potential fix, however get the same to responses. One is that some of the files can;t be opened due to sucurity issues
The other tells me I need to run it as an Administrator, which I already am
I spent 20 mins with Adobe support and they couldn';t figure it out. I'm not overly tech savey, but think the associated errror may be 12180. Can anyone help with this?

    Hi Larkwood,
As per the screen shot I can only say that we are struggling with the permissions on the machine where you are installing the product . Can you please try and see if you are the admin on the machines ? Also, please try and create a new Admin account and then try using the product .

  • Unable to Install Creative Cloud - Windows 7

I have followed the instructions - attempted all steps based on Adobe Support help from the forums here - to no avail.
    I am using Windows 7
I have other Adobe Products [Lightroom 4.X, and PDF stuff] - I am able to download the software from the correct location - but still get an error that tells me that I am not connected to the internet.

JaeP2R can you please confirm that you have completed the steps listed in Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CC, CS6, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html?

  • Creative cloud applications no longer install

using the adobe application manager; updates or new applications stop at "waiting to install". Dreamweaver stops downloading all together at 24%
I have priviously downloaded and installed creative cloud applications with no problem... any ideas. Windows 7

When did the expression "Clean" come to mean uninstall???
It does what it says on the tin.
"The tool can clean up install records for any pre-release (beta) installations of these Creative Suite products. The Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool is designed to not interfere with existing installations of previous versions of Adobe Creative Suite products; it does, however, allow you to remove them as well, if you so choose to."
The idea is that, prior to using the Cleaner, you first uninstall as best you can using the usual operating system tools.
If you're still stuck with a non-functioning or mal-functioning product, the Cleaner will clean up whatever files or file fragments or corrupt database entries remain.
Cleaning using the Cleaner tool can seem like uninstalling but it's not. It's just that if traditional uninstalling has not been done as a first step then the Cleaner will include those file in its cleanup process. You can be confident that, once the Cleaner has finished, your drive is 100% free of all traces of the Adobe product that you chose to cleanup. You can then reinstall from Ground Zero.
