Unable to install CS5 Premium Suite on Windows 7
I have been using the same installer for months now on other, non Win7 machines, without any issues whatsoever. I recently got a brand new machine with Windows 7 on it and... now nothing will install. Well, take that back, when I had the option for the Illustrator trial to not install AdobeHelp and AIR, it went through beautifully. Unfortunately, for the Suite / other individual programs like Photoshop, I don't have that option and it will hang on installing AdobeHelp while the time just keeps ticking higher and higher. The installer itself doens't freeze, but it just never completes.
I've tried running as Administrator, I've tried the compatibility adjuster thing, and it still hangs on just that every time. When I also try to cancel install, it'll hang until I manually end "AdobeAIRInstaller.exe" and "AIRRunner.exe", then it will tell me the install failed and allow me to close it.
I am a Graphic Design student and NEED these programs to work on this machine.
I had exactly the same problem, and applied your solution (expect I used something called Process Explorer to kill the process), and it worked!
Even so, why this happens remains a mystery to me. I was asked to reinstall CS5 after a recurring problem with Fireworks and it would also hang at "AdobeHelp" (8%). And yet, my initial install last year went like clockwork. The only difference I can think of is that a friend upgraded the CPU for me. I noticed as well I had to kill AdobeAIRInstaller several times - once at AdobeHelp, and twice at INallAIR. Maybe there is some bug between AIR and a windows update since last year. Either way, I now have Fireworks and the other apps back.

Unable to install Design Premium 5.5 Windows XP
Hi,
I'm trying to install CS5.5 Design Premium on a Windows XP SP3 workstation. This has a 32bit processor, but the install process only attempts to install the 64bit version of the software, or at least that was it appears to do. I know there is a 32bit version of the software on the install disc.

This is not fun at all, but I think your best bet is to uninstall the nvidia drivers you have now, and start at the oldest and work forward until it breaks again. The safest way to do this is to add/remove programs on the nvidia drivers and restart each time you load a new set (I confess I'm not always very careful about that process, but evidently I just love increasing my frustration index to the maximum tolerably level).
If absolutely none of the drivers provided by Dell solve the problem, you'll likely have to go hunting around the net for even older drivers. Like I said, the version that ended up working for me was pretty far back there and just happened to be the most recent provided by HP (since this machine is several years old they apparently stopped updating them).
In the meantime I suppose we both should shoot a mail to nvidia (though they tend to have little interest in supporting integrated or vendor supplied video cards vs. their own retail products). Understandably, that is part of the deal. They sell the cards to the integrator at wholesale becuase the integrator is supposed to carry the support costs (kind of like when PhotoDeluxe or some odd consumer product is bundled with every wacky scanner and camera on the market). So far so good on my old drivers, and I just discovered they have "windowshade" like functionality in addition to single click monitor moves in the title bar, which is sweet...

Unable to install Adobe elearning suite 1.0 in windows 7 pro environment
I have spent two days trying to re-install my elearning suite 1.0 on a new computer. I have called Adobe support three times. The first time I got cut off after 25 minutes on line. The second time I got cut off after 40 minutes on line. On the third try, after over an HOUR on hold, I made it to a person and I told her my problem. She was quiet for a second or two and then I heard the dial tone. If anyone from Adobe support is lurking on this forum, shame on you.
I purchased the very expensive Adobe ELearning Suite 1.0 less than a year ago and installed in on my Windows XP Thinkpad machine. It was a painful install. I use Adobe Presenter 7 and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Thats it. Nothing else.
Unfortunately, my Thinkpad died and I have purchasaed a new Thinkpad -- a W510 Windows 7 Pro and 4 g ram. Should not be an issue.
It will not even get past the starting gate. I get an auto lang error and then conversion data file.
When I the error I see a similar error for a different product, however the error is for a language mismatch between the operationg system and adobe. This is not my problem. I have verified that both products are same language -- jeeze, English.
At this point the only option I can see if to purchase the very expensive Adobe elearning suite 2 -- but guess what? It too comes with Adobe Presenter 7. Why should I have to pay another 1000 for the same thing I already own.
Has anyone else had this issue who might be able to provide advice? At this point I am so frustrated and irritated by Adobe I could scream.
I would also be very receptive of recommendations for a replacement for Presenter --

Windows Server Appfabric is not correctly configured.You should unistall Windows Server Appfabric and reinstall it using the SharePoint Products Preparation Tool.

Lion compatibility with adobe cs5 premium suite
In a nut shell compatibility with adobe cs5 premium suite with lion osx. I have been waiting till all problems are resolved any output on this subject.
Have iMac i7 core processor 8 gb of ram memory.When talking to other humans and asking a question, phrasing your question in, you know, the form of a question is usually best.

I have license for cs5.5 for mac - can I also use this same license to install cs5.5 on a windows pc?
No. Serial numbers are platform specific and you can't have both with a single license. Only Creative Cloud is cross-platform.

Unable to install Oracle Developer Suite 10g on Windows 7

I'm getting the following error message when using OUI on the Specify File Locations screen after providing source and destination:
Invalid staging area. There are no top level components for Windows NT, Windows 2000 available for installation in this staging area.
Anyone else have this happen while trying to install? I see that a few people have been successful in getting it installed. The destination was provided by default as C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks in advance.The Oracle Developer Suite (ODS) 10g is now certified by Oracle for installation on Windows 7 (32-bit). For installation steps, I recommend you take a look at My Oracle Support article: *How to Install Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2) on Windows 7 (32-bit) [ID 1292919.1]*. There is no need to run the XP-Mode (Virtual PC) of Windows 7 in order to install and use ODS on Windows 7.
Invalid staging area. There are no top level components for Windows NT, Windows 2000 available for installation in this staging area.This error could be caused by many things. I've seen two. The first (as I recall) was caused by an issue with one of the files in the Inventory directory. We were able to get around the issue by deleting a file (I'm sorry, but I don't recall which file or if we simply deleted the directory). I recommend you check with Oracle Support before you delete any files or the directory, however.
The other issue I've seen cause this is "spaces" in the directory path to the installer. This was the most common cause that I've seen. Make sure there are no spaces in the directory path where the installer is located.
