Unable to install Firefox on Windows 7 as Admin

Hi..
I have uninstalled my Mozilla Firefox(as it was not able to update) and now trying to re-install it on my Windows 7 PC. When I ran the firefox installation file it is saying "You may have necessary permissions..Try to run as a diff user or as current user."
I opted for current user as I have the admin credentials for my PC. After this nothing happens..It is not getting installed..
Where as it got successfully installed in the other user of my PC (i.e. Guest..It has same OS as Admin has).
Please help me in installing Firefox as admin ...
Thanks a lot

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)

  • How do I install Firefox with Windows 7?

I have Windows 7 and after I downloaded Firefox to my computer and tried to install it a message pops up asking me to log in as administrator or my user name. Since I am the administrator and never set up a password, I try to log in with my user name. Logging in with my user name and password won't work, so I try with the administrator and since I don't know the password, of course that fails also.

Here is a solution that worked for a user who also had a problem with iTunes Software Support. This thread was for a win32 version, but Maybe this is the problem for both of you?:
IT appears that AppleApplicationSupport.msi, is not opening and installing properly.
Download and SAVE iTunesSetup.exe, where you can find it.
    Then:
    1. Download and install WinRAR.
    2. Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe icon and choose "Open with WinRAR".
    3. Once the EXE is opened in WinRAR, double-click AppleApplicationSupport.msi and when the installer window is open choose "Repair".
    4. Done! You can now run iTunes normally.

  • Unable to install Itunes in Windows XP

I am unable to Install Itunes oin Windows xp professional SP2, it gives below error: Let me know how to get it installed

OK, there is still not much to go there.
I assume you are using 32 bit XP Pro, iTunes will not install on 64 bit XP but you should get a different error.
Lets try installing the components of iTunes separately.
Download the iTunes installer and save it in your downloads folder.
The files will be either itunessetup.exe or itunes64setup.exe for a 64 bit system.
Open notepad and copy the following 3 lines into it.
    md temp
    itunes64setup /extract temp
    pause
Remove 64 for 32 bit itunes.
Save the file as extract.bat into the same folder that contains the itunes installer.
Open the downloads folder and you should find the extract file that you saved. Double click on it and a black window will open telling you what it is doing. When its finished, press any key to continue.
You should find that a folder called temp has been created containing all the itunes msi files.
Install by double clicking on them  in this order:
    Apple Application Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Apple Software Update
    iTunes
Make a note of any error messages and which component it relates to.
Also use the Windows Event viewer to see if there are error messages at the time you attempted the installs.
The following article gives information about using the Event Viewer:

  • Unable to install Itunes on Windows 8

Unable to install Itunes on Windows 8.
It states Errors occured during installation. Your system has not been modified, and does not fully down load.
    I have tried :-
    Uninstall Itunes and then reinstall
Uninstalled Itunes then connect Iphone to computer and tried to source relevant Itunes package.
ininstalled Itunes then tried to install a later version
Even tried an Itunes 64 bit installer then tried to download Itunes.
All the above have been unsucessful. I have a 64 bit operationg system, x64 based processer laptop computer.
I have spoken to the staff at apple store who were all really nice but could not offer any help unless I had an apple computer.
Please help as I have two Iphones and an Ipad which are limited without Itunes.

See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
If you still have problems installing iTunes download and install 7-Zip (free) and a fresh copy of the current installer from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ or use these direct links (which will go out of date at some point):
    iTunes 11.1.5 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-02-25)
    iTunes 11.1.5 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-02-25)
Then unpack the installer into its components using 7-Zip and install them individually in alphabetical order (don't try to install SetupAdmin.exe or iCloud.msi). If any of the components still fail to install you may get more useful error messages as to why not.

  • Is it possible to install Firefox on Windows Server 2008?

I try to install Firefox 3.6 on Windows server 2008 but it says that the file is corrupted.
Is it possible to install Firefox on Windows Server 2008?

    From the Parallels website:
    32-bit Operating Systems
Windows 8 with: Windows 8, 8.1 (when available)
    Windows 7 SP1
    Windows Vista SP0, SP1, SP2
    Windows Server 2008 R2, SP2, SP1, SP0
    64-bit Operating Systems
    Windows 8
    Windows 7 SP1
    Windows Vista SP0, SP1, SP2
    Windows Server 2012
    Windows Server 2008 R2, SP2, SP1, SP0
I do suggest that you upgrade RAM to at least 8gig
    if you haven't already.
FWIW, I currently use Win8/64 bit with Parallels on a 2011 Mini Server
using the windows environment for engineering applications and have
had no issues.  I am running Mountain Lion but do not have the
    Server app installed.

downloaded and installed firefox on windows XP, click on firefox icon and nothing happens!

Also to be sure you need at least Windows XP Service Pack 2 if not 3 (XP3) as Firefox since version 13.0 will not work on XP1 or older.

  • Unable to instal Firefox 3.6 on Window Vistadue to "unknown publisher" error

I've jsut reinstalled Window Vista on a new HD due to a carshed HD. When I tried to install Firefox 3.6, after downloaded the .exe and try to install, Internet explorer immediately pops up a window and it says "unknown Publisher" and blocked the installation without giving any option to ingnor it and continue the installation. What should I do ?

As I have said you have some pretty old software and the problems so far will likely be your typical experience in using it.
You have 10.1. There are five updates for that 10.1.1 through to 10.1.5
perform the updates as required to reach 10.1.5
You may have to do them in order depending what version your have.
This wiki page below has a convenient collection of update links to Apple at the bottom.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacOS_Xv10.1
Which particular version you have is found under the Menu item  About this Mac, will tell you the version.
After you have installed the last update,
    download this utility from here
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106900
    and run Repair Privileges.
You really should consider a later Mac OS like 10.3 or 10.4 if you can afford it.

  • I'm unable to install Firefox onto my Windows Vista computer because when I download the .exe file, it doesn't show up anywhere on my computer.

I click on the download button on the Firefox website and it processes as if it is downloading. Once it is finished processing, I'm unable to find the file to install it with the install wizard. I tried it by both running and saving the file. In both cases, the file just vanishes.

  • I installed Firefox on laptop under Admin acct--now I can't access it from std user account

I installed Firefox on a laptop under Admin acct--now I can't access it from std user account. If I installed Firefox onto the laptop under the Admin account, why didn't it put a desktop icon on the std user account also? I don't recall ever having this problem on an any other computer I've had. I have already tried looking under the program files folders for a Mozilla folder while logged into the std user account-- there is no Mozilla folder to be found. Also, when I try to install Firefox on the Std user account, the parental controls keeps me from doing it. I have went in and added the Firefox install web link as an allowable website under the parental controls, but it does not help. Please help me figure out how to get Firefox installed on my std user account.
