I am unable to install oracle 10g release 2 agent on sun 9 sparc solaris machine using the GUI interphase. Now my question is, is there a way to install it without using the GUI interphase? if yes, let me know.

Yes, you can by doing silent install but it important to know
what problem are you facing in GUI mode beacsue same thing could
reflect on silent install as well.

My first thoughts were that 'bootcamp' was out of date...needed an upgrade to register windows 7. Since then I am once again met with the same problem... how can it not see the I have already have a paritioned drived ready to be used for installition, is there a way to fix this problem? I don't really want to pay out for 'i-parition' only to merge my 2 drives back into one and start again from scratch =/. Seems silly to do so...what are my options?

You don't need to buy anything but you should have backups.
you can delete #2 you created. Then resize to full drive.

Unable to install OEM agent

Hi all,
I am not able to install the agent my server, I am follow below line to install but i m facing the below errror . In response file i updated the OMS hostname and port, path . I am using the port 4889
./runInstaller -silent -responseFile /<full path >.responsefile.rsp name
it showing port 4889 is not reachable.
Please help me in resolving this

Hi,
This shows that your server is unable to communicate with the server where the OMS is installed.
Check following:-
1. Is OMS up and running?. Run emctl status oms on the OMS server and paste the results
2. run telnet OMSHOSTNAME 4889 on the server where you are installing the agent and then post the results

Unable to Install Windows 7 using Boot Camp Assistant

I recently suffered a hard disk failure. After replacing the disk, I have recovered all data with the exception of being unable to install windows 7 on a new boot camp partition. I am able to create the partition using boot camp assistant, but I am subsequently been unable to install windows following the directions provided. Any help would be appreciated. I have a late 2009 27" iMac running OSX Mavericks.

It depends of the OS X version you're using. If it's 10.6, insert the Mac OS X DVD and install them.
If it's 10.7 or 10.8:
1. Press X key while your Mac is starting to start into OS X.
2. Open Boot Camp Assistant, download drivers and burn them into a DVD or USB drive.
3. Start into Windows and install Boot Camp drivers

This shows that your server is unable to communicate with the server where the OMS is installed.

Unable to install policy agent 2.2 for Webserver 6.1 on Windows 2003

Hi everybody,
I've installed Java Enterprise Server (last version) on Windows 2003 with these components:
- Directory Server
- Access Manager
- Webserver
- Administration Server
Everything works good, I can access all those components.
Now I want to use Policy Agent 2.2. So I've downloaded it and I've tried to install...
But during the installation process, an error message appear when I select the Web Server instance directory to protect.
It says: "invalid web server instance - on windows, Access Manager Policy Agent only supports Web Server 6.0 and 6.1.....".
The problem is that I work with WebServer 6.1....
I really don't know what to do now... This message prevent me to go further.
What's the problem? How can I avoid this?

Okay, here's what it says:
"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, ot the updgrade pathc may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct update patch".
I don't even know what program I'm supposed to have.

Unable to install routing agent on Exchange 2010

I am trying to install a Routing Agent(C#)compiled in VS2010(I tried for Target version NET 3.5 and for Target version NET 4.0) against an Exchange 2010 SP2 environment but receives this error:

I copied Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Common.dll and Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Transport.dll from server machine to my build machine. I referenced these 2 dlls in my project. As I already mentioned I built agent dll for Target version NET 3.5 and for Target version
NET 4.0. I build it with "Release" and "Any CPU" configuration.
Exchange machine OS is Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1 64 bit.
On the Exchange machine installed NET Framework 4 Extended and NET Framework 4 Client Profile.

G4 PPC OS 10.4.11 unable to install Flash Player using Safari

Need help installing the correct version of Flash Player onto my PowerBook G4 OS 10.4.11
What browser works the best, I'm currently using Safari, but Someone out there knows what settings/browser and the right combination to use. Iv'e done at least 10 uninstalls and installs today nothing seemed to work. Need to download You Tube and VIMEO content for work and im stuck in the mud. Please advise. Thanks.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you will likely find that you're out of luck in this situation. The latest version of Flash Player, which far more often than not, will be required to view these videos will not work with a PowerPC processor or the version of Safari that you have (Safari 3 I believe is the last one that works with Tiger).
You can find older versions of the player at oldversion.com under the Mac page or here at adobe.com, but you will probably have troubles playing the videos with Flash Player 8.
Your best Bet is to get Firefox, download an add-on called DownloadHelper which will allow you to download the FLV files even if you can't see them in the browser, then download and use VLC Media player to view them.

Unable to install the software using Palm software installation CD

Please help me!!!! I am a first time user of Palm, and I was trying to install the Desktop sync software on my computer. The software asked me to pick the language between English and Spanish. However, no matter which language I picked on, a small window always pops up and says "Palm desktop is currently installed in ChineseS. Uninstall Palm desktop and try again." Obviously, I have never installed any chinese palm desktop before, and I have no idea what is it talking about!!!! Can someone please help me to fix this problem??? Really appreciate it!!!!

To deinstall Grid Agent using response file

HI.
I have installed Agent on Oracle 10g using response file but now need to uninstall.
I need to uninstall since after deleting old Agent home the response installer is complaining that I need to remove everything from old Agent home
I have searched the same Oracle doc that I used to do the install, but can see no info on how to remove.
ANy ideas much appreciated thanks.
I should add that the original Agent Home has now been completely removed. yet when I run this

I have already removed everything from the Agent home (at OS level) but get error:
Starting deinstall
No products selected for deinstall
Yet still cant start the install....

Depending on the agent version you can use the /runinstaller (without response file) as described here

If you want to install the agent using:
a- the same oracle home name and/or
b- the same directory
you have to delete the "old agent" home from the inventory. This can be done by "detaching" the home you want to remove.

Unable to install agent

I'm sitting with a bit of a problem. I've uninstalled an agent (3.6.1) on a Sun 280R server (Solaris 10) and now I'm trying to re-install the agent. However, the installation crashes out (see output below). I've deleted the /var/opt/SUNWsymon and /opt/SUNWsymon directories, but still no luck.

When you uninstalled SunMC, did you use "es-uninst" or "es-uninst -X". The "-X" is the nuclear option: erasing any trace it can find of SunMC on your system (including /opt/SUNWsymon and /var/opt/SUNWsymon). Since you've already uninstalled the Agent it can't hurt to try that extra flag with the uninstaller a second time. A copy of es-uninst is included beside es-inst on your distribution media.

DPM 2012R2 - Unable to install agent on trusted domain

Hi,
I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to ask this question, but couldn't find the solution anywhere.
Just completed the installation of DPM2012R2 and I'm trying to install\attach agents on the computers from the list.
Every single computer is returning me the same error: 322,
The following computers <computerame> were not found in Active Directory Domain Services, or they do not have a Windows Server operating system installed.
Which is weird since I'm logged in as domain admin and was able to access all the hosts under my active directory domain with no problem.
Any hints?

Few things to try:-
1. Temporary disable Windows firewall between DPM and target server
2.Try add the credential that you use to push DPM agent to each local server-Local Administrator Group.
3.On DPM server server, make sure can resolve FQDN of the target server and able to ping them.
4.Next, depend on your target server, you may need to install some pre-requisite software/ update.

Ok so I downloaded the most current installer CS5.1, My previous installer was version 5.0. It did install fine fully updated to my license version. I just wanted to update in case anyone in the future has a similiar experience. Too bad this advice was not offered by the "experts" here.
