Unable to install HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4640 e-All-in-One Printer on Windows 10

Hello Since I upgraded from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 last week I'm unable to connect to my HP Deskjet 4645 AiO printer.I downloaded the latest installer from HP website and ran the setup. My printer is detected however it won't install. The only error that is returned is: Unsuccessful Network Installation (The printer was unable to be installed over the network). Sending the install.log to HP came back with no solution for this problem. Anybody know how to install this printer on Windows 10. Thank you.

How do I setup the printer to be able to scan to my Mac.  When I try to do this, the message on the rpinter display says that I should make sure the softward is installed (which it is as I am able to scan manually from my Mac) and that "Scan to computer" is enabled. I cannot find where to enable this.

    Hi @PaulaZ7
To enable scan to computer from your Mac you will need you will need to first ensure you have the full feature software installed, then go to HP Utility and in the Scan settings you will see the option to Scan to Computer. Choose Scan to Computer and Enable the feature here.

  • HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2060 K110 all in one printer. unable to scan to my computer.

I have issues with my HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2060 K110 all-in-one printer. I used to be able to scan from my printer to my computer without any hitch. Yesterday however, I started receiving a message that my computer cannot detect my printer's "scan dialogue". So I can no longer scan to my computer. I still can print and copy documents just fine though. I've trfied the HP Print & Scan Doctor but my issue still persists. What can be my problem?

Hi Rocky_Balboa, Welcome to the HP Forums!  I see that you can't scan with your Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 K110. Are you able to make copies with the printer? In the meantime, please take a look at this guide. Thanks!

    Thanks!
When I installed the software I had an issue with the compatiblity between my printer and mountain lion. I installed a mountain lion's update related to HP Printers but it wasn't succesful. At any rate I set up the printer and and wireless print works only once... after this I used the USB connection.
I have no idea what happens and it's so weird because HP webpage says thar 3525 is compatible with AirPrint...

i brought new hp deskjet ink advantage 3540 e all in one printer. the printer shows the message scanner problem turn off and then turn on if the problem is not fixed the scanner component is broken and can not copy or scan.pls any body tell the solution how the solve that problem?

    Hi @Arun12345,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that your printer shows the message, "scanner problem turn off and then turn on if the problem is not fixed the scanner component is broken and can not copy or scan." I am sorry to hear this but I am happy to look into this for you!
I would recommend doing a hard reset, please see this post, How to perform a Hard Reset, by @Rich1.
If that does not resolve the issue, then most likely the scanner is physically broken and the printer needs to be replaced/upgraded. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. • Re: HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525 e-All-in-One Printer

PLS, I want to know if hp 1515 all in one printer supports or have O. C. R.

Thanks for the reply, and I understand what you're looking for, just had to give me time to respond
Like I said before, the majority of Deskjets do NOT come with the OCR software, but we can try downloading another printer's software and see if you can then use the OCR software with your two Deskjet machines.
To do this, I will suggest that you download the software for the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus and install it from this link: HP Officejet Pro Full Feature Software and Driver.
When installing, choose a USB install, and when it gets to the connection part there should be a Connect Later checkbox so the software will complete it's installation. Once that is done, I'd recommend restarting your computer and then try scanning and see if you now have an option to scan as editable text from each printer.
Again, this is a work around and I can't promise it will work, but fingers are crossed for you!

  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4640 e-All-in-One Printer,Fax

Hello, I have just bought the deskjet ink 4640.
Now I need to set the fax to get the faxes on my pc or mac but I cannot find the "digital fax" in printer utility.
    please help

    Hello stouras,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see you are trying to setup your Deskjet Ink Advantage 4640 to send faxes to your Mac. It is odd that that setup option is not in the HP Utility, it is possible something has not installed correctly.
I see that this printer did not come with a C.D for Mac, did you have a chance to download and install the software? If not, use this link to do so: HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4640 e-All-in-One Printer Drivers. Select you version of Mac, then click next. Click Driver - Product Installation Software and then download.
Once the download is complete, install the software and see if the HP Utility has the option to set up the fax to PC.
If you had installed the software, lets try uninstall and installing again; Go to Finder>Applications>HP> HP Uninstaller. While in the uninstaller, before clicking uninstall I want you to hold down the three button to the left of the key board (CRTL+Option+Command) and then click unistall.
Once the software is uninstalled, click the Apple icon and then check for updates. Install any and all updates and restart the computer.
Use the above link to download the software and install.
Let me know if this helps.

  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 K110 All-in-One : A4 Borderless Printing

Description: Good day, I recently bought HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 K110, and I'm having problems with printing an A4 borderless picture.
I tried to print an image in Adobe Photoshop using an A4 glossy paper, I wanted the print to be borderless - but what came out was a picture with white margin on all sides.
The image at hand has an exact A4 size (595x842 pixels). Then in the printing page setup, I set the paper size to A4. I tried to play with "Scale to Fit Media", when enabled, the preview shows a margin on both left and right side. When disabled, no margins are displayed, but the program warns me about how clipping may occur, which I didn't mind.
So, with "scaled to fit media" disabled, I started the printing. When it was done, the output was not something I expected.
I tried googling a little bit, and found out that some hp printers are not capable of borderless printing. I'm not sure if my printer is one of those.

  • Installing software for my HP psc 1210 all-in-one printer on to my Mac?

I have downloaded new software and drivers for my all-in-one printer. I am running OS X 10.5.2 on a 20" 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. The computer recognises that a printer is present and I can print with no problems. The problem that I'm having is with the scanner function. I don't think that the HP software is registering that there is a printer present. When I go into the HP setup assistant no printer comes up in the selection window. When I go into Printer & Fax via system preferences the HP psc 1210 series comes up as the default printer. I've had this problems before but cannot remember how I rectified it. I'm sure it got something to do with erasing the driver's off the computer and starting over again. Can anyone please help me or point me in the right direction. Thanks

  • Just installed HP BIOS Update. HP 6110 all in one printer no longer works.

Just installed HP BIOS Update.  System no longer recognizes my printer (6110 all-in-one).  HP web site says driver is in OS and should be recognized, but only driver that is close is 6100 series and it does not work.

    Hey thecityhouse,
When you are selecting the driver from the available drivers list did you make sure to press the Windows Update button at the bottom right to prepopulate the list?  This may have to be performed to get the proper driver for your printer.
If this does not work, then I would take a look at the information in the post found here.  It may provide a workaround to the issue you are experiencing.
    Hope this helps,
    Jason
