handset: 6500c upgraded to latest firmware v08.30
pcsuite: on xp upgraded to latest version verson 7.0.8.2
issue: coundn't install java app through pc suite application installer, but wap donwload installation is ok. When connected, I couldn't see installed java app in pc suite application manager. It used to work, but not any more after I upgrade both firmware and pc suite together. Other functions work just fine.
error message: operation failed when use app installer. file size too big when use drag and drop in pc suite.
I'm sure I have enough memory in handset.
I sent my handset back to Nokia customer support center. Their response is "it might be a bug in latest firmware". That's it.
Any suggestion or comment?

My 6500C is a generic phone, not customized by service provider. I used software updater yesterday. The latest version is of my phone is still 08.30.
I check

and find the latest version of my CODE is still 08.30.
Look like I got a phone that is not supported right now. Need to wait longer. Don't get it.

You could try reseting your device;
Reformat - Type *#7370# and the phone's lock code (Nokia default lock code is 12345). Warning! This reset wipes your C drive/phone memory! Also, on Symbian^3 devices mass memory gets wiped too.

Nimbuzz .sisx version installed perfectly and so did Google Maps Symbian version, but their Java versions could not. I've set my Installation setting to all and disabled the online certificate check. With ALL Java apps what happens is it begins the process them abruptly disconnects the internet connection. I've tried using both local carriers, so its not the network, symbian apps work just fine, I installed and use Joikuspot, but the lack of Opera Mini is really bad for me. Please help

so you want to restore as new not from a back up and then try to download a application. the purpose for this is the fact that if you restore from a back you then your just putting the save soft ware back on your phone. and if soft ware is the issue then this step just got voided out. if that doesnt work or you did do that then it can be something hardware related and it can be replace through apple for free if your under the hardware warranty

I am unable to install Java 2 Platform Standard Edition Development Kit 1.4.2_11 and NetBeans IDE 5.0 on Windows 98. I get the following message:
Java 2 Platform Standard Edition Development Kit 1.4.2_11 cannot be installed on your computer because current account does not have sufficient privileges.
I am trying to install at home, no network, and as far as I can tell, there is no way to give yourself "administrative privileges". Is Windows 98 not supported anymore?

98SE is supported. See configuration requirements for the various versions.
Try downloading Java and installing it, then go to the NetBeans site and downloading it and installing separately.

Ipod is running iOS 4.2.1 and iTunes says that my iOS is the latest available. I am unable to install certain apps due to the message that iOS xx is needed (a higher version than mine). Can I get a higher (newer) version? (my model iPod Touch is MC086LL)

Updated N95 software now cannot install Java apps

I recently (like yesterday) upgraded my N95 8GB to software version V20.0.016. Restored my content. My Gmail and Opera applications were no longer installed so I downloaded them but cannot install. Every time I try and install software either via my PC or directly I get the extremely informative message 'Unable to install'

Marylanda....perhaps you need to reread the original problem. The problem has nothing to do with rearranging apps within a collection. The problem is that when plugged into iTunes (to sync) and trying to remove apps under that format, the "remove" button is no longer available to click. It's "grayed" out. You still have the ability to Install apps that way but not "remove" them.
I had a friend suggest that I turn off Restrictions on my phone, thinking that might be causing the problem. However, even after doing that, I still cannot "remove" apps while plugged in to iTunes.
Someone really needs to help with this situation, since it appears to be happening to more and more people.

Your answer is unclear. Can you mount other disk images by double-clicking on their .dmg files? Have you repaired permissions with Disk Utility?
I wonder if it has something to be with the versions of the upgrade. do i need to download them in an expecific order or something?
It depends. Some updates won't be applicable until you install a previous one. For example, some Security Updates won't work unless you an OS update in place.
i currently have install java 1.3.1 plug in and 1.4.2 plug in. i've never open the application thought.
If you mean the Java Plugin Settings.apps for those versions, then that's normal. I have those in addition to the Java Preferences.app from J2SE 5, which I believe is the new name for the settings.app.

Unable to install dev app

Did you get anywhere with this issue? I think I have the same thing happening. The dev app says "installing" on my iPad Air 2 / iOS 8.1 - I have tried deleting and syncing and re-adding to iTunes, selecting install. It goes through the install motions, and shows the progress installing the app - it just gets stuck at becoming active. The icon remains darkened not he iPad, and when you click on it, it says "installing". That what you have?

Branched to a new discussion, this was originally a reply to a thread from more than a year ago.
When this happens it is one of two problems:
1) The mobileprovision file you used didn't include the UDID for the device you are installing on
2) The certificate you used to sign the app isn't valid.

Unable to install java on Mac OSX Lion.

When getting promted with a "you must download java runtime"-dialogue box, it says I'm not connected to an internet connection when I most certainly are. I've tried every known method for installing java on this OS, all of them prompts me with the same error-message. As I am posting from my Macbook on this board right now, I am indeed connected to the internet.
... any thoughts? I think this is a tad more hassle than it needs to be.

The "solution" misses the point of the problem.
The Java runtime won't install because of some phanton network connection problem. The network works just fine for everything else, but this dialogue box ("To open “Dreamweaver,” you need to install a Java runtime, but you are not connected to the Internet.") keeps popping up, and then you are stuck.

HT4623 After installing IOS 6.1.3 I am now unable to install any app. I hit the "install" it asks me for my password and then is goes back to install.

After install iOS 6.1.3 everytime I attempt to install any app, I hit "install", it aks me for my password and then clocks for a couple of secs and then goes back to "install" without installing.

Have you tried a soft reset? Hold down the home and lock buttons until you see the apple icon appaer then let go. If this doesnt work, open iTunes, conect the handset to the computer and do a full restore.

After updating to IOS 6 i'm not able to download/update apps on my phone. It says
Account Not In The Store
Your account is not valid for use in U.K store. You must switch to
the Indian store before purchasing.
For example: I tried installing "Facebook" app.
Is there anyone who is having the same problem ? . If anyone know about this issue please let me know.

Try the following:
Step 1: Go to Settings, iTunes and App stores
Step 2: Touch your Apple ID, and say view Apple ID
Step 3: Enter your login credentials
Step 4: touch Country/Region, Change country to the country your registered location, in your case it's India
The country pointing to maybe India itself, but touch change country anyway. Once again, select same country, in your case, India and accept all the legal terms.
Step 5: Since, Apple has no official Indian iTunes Store, choose None as option for credit card payment information and skip.
Step 6: Your account is SetUp and you can download Facebook and other supported Apps
Caveats: This solution worked on my iPad for the same problem. Not sure about iPhone.
