Unable to install mapviewer demo's

I have installed the mvqs10_1_2_0_2 quickstart version of mapviewer from technet and am trying to install the demo's. The import fails due to a lack of the mdsys schema. We have an enterprise edition license of the database server but not the extra spatial option. From what I read we should be able to use the Locator resources for free.
What appears to be happening is we do not have the required objects for Locator in the database (e.g. mdsys schema).
We have updated to 10.1.0.4 database using the migration tool to migrate from an 8.1.7 database. It appears that using the migration tool rather than creating a new 10G database seems to have missed adding the required objects for Locator.
How can I install the resources needed for locator? Using dbca I can install spatial but we have not licensed spatial. Is there a way to just install Locator? -quinn

Locator is free, but it is part of the interMedia option.
You should check your install to see if interMedia is installed or not.
If not, you can use DBCA to install interMedia.

Unable to install Netweaver demo

In step 2, when doing "Define Parameters" I am stuck at the point where it is asking "Software Package Request" and it wants the package location. When I enter the location of the LABELIDX.ASC file, it gives me a popup window with:
"You entered:

For copying a package you have to specify the source location for the
requested package SAP:NETWEAVER:702:EXPORT(1/3):.
Specify the location which contains the right LABEL.ASC, or empty the
copy input field !!"
There are at least 10 label.asc and labelidx.asv files in the directories that uncompressed from the rar. There was nothing wrong with the RAR extraction (I noticed another thread about that) and no files appear obviously missing. As noted, there are probably a dozen of these LABEL.ASC/LABELIDX.ASC files, and I have tried nearly all of them.
What's wrong?
This is on Windows Server 2008, 64-bit, with the 64-bit Netweaver eval.

In the root directory of the DVD, the "LABELIDX.ASC" contains the following lines:
SAP_Netweaver_702e_Installation_Master
SAP_Kernel_720_for_X86_64
SAP_MaxDB_78_SP1_14_RDBMS
SAP_NetWeaver_702e_Export
GUI
That is all that is in that file. Nothing with the : line in it. There are LABEL.ASC files in each of the above directories. None of which match the exact text of what is being output.
I checked the RAR file again, and there is no LABEL.ASC in the root directory of the DVD (this is before burning it). Is the archive supposed to include this file in the rootdir of the DVD?

MapViewer Demo - mapclient.jsp

I have installed mapviewer demo on a standalone OC4J. I added a datasource "mvdemo". I can get other jsp's to work: jview.jsp, mapinit.jsp and tagmap.jsp but when I go to mapclient.jsp and enter the datasource field along with Map Center X and Y, I just get a blue blank screen. Do I need to enter anything for Map Base field. Also, I am not getting any error messages.
On OC4J window, I get only message that says "no theme to render".

I do not see basemap in your XML request. You are trying to see entire US extents. Try with smaller size such 1.00.

ANM 4.3 Demo Version, unable to install demo license

Good day,
I am installing the Demo version of ANM 4.3 on a virtual machine.
The install was successfull, however when i try to import the demo licence from my laptop to the server it does not allow me to tftp the file to the server.
I am using the command provided in the install guide but no luck.
Any suggestions?

Mapviewer demo's

Hi,
I'm trying to get the mapviewer demo's up and running, but I can't find instructions to do this.
Oracle spatial and mapviewer are new to me, so maybe anyone can tell me how to do this.
I've installed oracle 10g database and standalone mapviewer.
I can visualize data from the demo-dataset for user scott.
But when I click (on the mapviewer homepage) on one of the examples my browser gives the usual 'the page cannot be displayed' message.
Do I need to install the demo's in some way, or place the jsp files in a certain directory??

Suggest just doing a search within this forum, that answer has been written about 1000 times. Try this: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/mapviewer/index.html
try the QuickStart Kit and install the Demo's.
This will provide you with all of your answers.

Mapviewer demo Problem

I have seen a number of posts regarding this issue, but none seem to have solved it. I have installed OC4J, I have installed and imported the mapviewer demo data. I get all of the demos to come up but all I get is a blue screen with the words "Oracle Map viewer Demo" I installed the data with the mvdemo user not as scott/tiger Does that matter? Not sure what else it could be as I am getting no errors anywhere.

Ok so I downloaded the most current installer CS5.1, My previous installer was version 5.0. It did install fine fully updated to my license version. I just wanted to update in case anyone in the future has a similiar experience. Too bad this advice was not offered by the "experts" here.

Unable to install SQL Server CE Server Tool on SQL Server 2000 SP 4

I am facing problem with installing SQL Server CE Server Tool,
I have installed SQL Server 2000 SP 4 which is working fine.
While i am running Setup of "SQL Server 2000 Windows CE Edition version 2.0" ,Developer tools installed successfully but incase of SQL Server CE Server Tool i am getting following Error
"SQL Server CE Tool is compatible only with SQL Server 2000 Service pack 1 and higher.
When you install SQL Server CE Server Tools on a computer running both IIS and SQL Server 2000 , ensure the installer for SQL Server CE Server Tools corresponds To the version of SQL Server 2000."
I am sure that i have running SQL Server 2000 SP 4 (MSDE also SP 4) , IIS (Version 5.1) is also working fine , and one more thing i am trying to install SQL Server CE Server Tool setup is "sqlce20sql2ksp4.exe" (Which i downloaded from microsoft site.).Here all the requirement is fulfill but i dont know what is going to wrong.
I wasted my 2 days behind solving this issue , now i am tiered ,So please any one have solution for this issue.

I Needs some helps from all of you.
I have Toshiba Laptop Satellite A205-S5831.
Its Have Windows Vista Home Premium.
And I am unable to install SQL server 2000 and 2005.
I also Unable to Install Windows XP SP2.
Problem is SATA driver.

The Windows XP needs a SATA driver if you want to install it on the notebook with SATA HDD controller.
The SATA driver can be found in the Intel Storage Manager.
I would recommend using the nLite program to include a SATA driver into the new Windows XP CD and then to boot from the new created XP CD.

Regarding SQL server issue;
Maybe you will be able to install in on Windows XP. Possibly there is a compatibility issue between the Vista and the SQL server software

I am unable to install SQL Server 2014 Express LocalDb on Windows 8.1 Update 1, as I get an 'Operating System not Supported' error message right away.

hardware and software requirements for installing SQL Server 2014, we can install SQL Server Express version on the Windows 8.1. For more information, see:
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Express.
Before you install SQL Server 2014 Express version, you should ensure installing the .NET Framework 4, then run as administrator for the SQL Server setup.exe again.
There is a similar detail about install SQL Server Express LocalDB via GUI and command line. You can also review the following steps.

Unable to install Sql Server 2008 R2 express on windows 2003

Hi,
I am unable to install sql server express edition with management tools, on windows server 2003. During rules check, it gives an error that minimum os version is not supported.
.net framework requirements have been met.
Is there something that I am missing ? Any pointers would be of immense help

Whats is Service Pack edition of Windows 2003 server.As per prerequisites it requires SP2 for windows Server 2003 I guess your server is not updated to latest SP.Please refer below link for hardware and software requirement

Unable to install SQL server 2008 r2 standard edition on windows server 2008 r2 sp1

I am unable to install sql server 2008 r2 standard edition on windows server 2008 r2 sp1.
On the Setup Support Files page, choose Install this step I don't get any other window i.e. nothing happens I waited for 5-10 min. Then I checked the log file.

The following are a few things you can try:
Copy the media to the local disk drive, unzip it (in case you are installing from an ISO file, and run SQL Server setup from there.
Try to unregister and register the Windows Installer with the following two commands:
msiexec /unregister
msiexec /regserver
Try to use Process Monitor to log the detailed error produced when the installation of dw20sharedamd64.msi fails. You can download Process Monitor from the following link:
