Unable to install MBAM 2.5 with SCCM integration on named SQL instance

Hi,
in production i am installing MBAM 2.5 with SCCM integration but during the installation it asks for the SCCM reporting services point and which it is unable to recognize.
whereas in my lab environment i have default SQL instance which has reporting installed, in that case it works fine.
can someone let me know why the issue is coming?
in the event log the issue is : Description = "user domain\username is not able to get the lock at this time.Error:0x40480732"

For the integration part, You need to install the MBAM SCCM Integration feature on SCCM server. For compliance reporting in integration, MBAM uses the Reporting service point for SCCM.
When installing the SCCM integration feature, you need to provide the name of the reporting Server where Reporting Service point role is installed for SCCM. But it does not provides any option for the instance but for the Server only. We have two instances
for SQL. One for CAS and other for Primary site. We need to run the installer on CAS and hence need to connect to the SQL instance for CAS.
We have also tried with the powershell commands but it is not working either.
Is there any way to install MBAM integration feature on a SQL instance. As far as I know, it automatically picks the instance but not happening for me.

Everything is running correctly: SCCM sees compliance reports, keys are populating into the Recovery database. Self-service works correctly as tested.
However, the Recovery Audit Report in the /Helpdesk webpage reports an error:
"Cannot create a connection to data source 'DataSource1'. (rsErrorOpeningConnection)
Browsing to the /Reports page on the MBAM SQL server (with reporting) yields an empty page.
If I install the Audit and Compliance reports onto the MBAM SQL server, those populate (but are empty, as SCCM is handling that component), however, the Recovery Audit Report still yields the same error.

You can put the Audit Reports on the SSRS instance on SCCM Server. But it has its own limitations. What if you want to configure the encrypted configuration within the MBAM environment using SSL certificate. In that case you have to take special
care while using the SSL certificate for configuring the reporting Point as it has been also used by the SCCM.

So, let me get this clear, I can install the Audit Reports onto the SRSS I am using for SCCM and not have to deploy an SRSS instance elsewhere? The SSL certificate detail is not an issue. I am desperately trying to avoid yet another instance of
SRSS.

MBAM 2.5 with SCCM Integration

I've installed MBAM 2.5 and now need to roll back the changes as I didn't specify the -SsrsServer value and this is hosted on a different server. When I try to run Disable-MbamCMIntegration I'm getting the following error

If you edit the following key in the registry on your SCCM server
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MBAM Server\Enabled\CMIntegration to 0 and then restart the server it will allow you to re-add the feature with a different config.

For Vista that version will not let you install programs. Good news though is we have a version you can. Go here, http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/windesk62.html and install this on top of the version you already have. There is going to be a few changes on the desktop, there is no quick install, but the install tool.
Once you have that done just double click on keyboard and it will ask you your hotsync name and sync and your done.
Oh as a side note the check if this is your solution is only if the answer solves your original question.

Unable to install Cumulative Update 2 for SCCM 2012 R2

Hi,
I am trying to install the CU2 update for SCCM 2012 R2 and I am getting the following error during prerequisite checks:
Server update status: This update applies to product version 5.0.7958. The installed version on this computer is 5.0.7804.1000. This update is not applicable to this computer.
Console update status: No serviceable configuration manager role was found on the local system.
Can anyone provide me some guidance or thoughts on how to get to the correct version to install this update?

Unable to install the Demonstration Environment with ODI 11g

Can someone please help me with Demonstration environment installation with ODI 11g on a windows system.
I have downloaded the zipped file from the OTN site.
I am unable to understand the installation steps in the user guide.Posting them for your reference.

Did you try to start installation? Your Java_Home could be avaliable on your env settings, so you dont need to set this for installation. If its fails please try to use this syntax:
Set JAVA_HOME=C:\xxx

Steps to Install Premiere Elements 12 with SCCM

I'm trying to create an install package that can be used with Microsoft SCCM. I've followed the instructions here Deploy Premiere Elements 12 | Windows which gives me a silent install I can use locally, but doesn't work through SCCM. I've also read about the Adobe Provisioning Toolkit which is supposed to "serialize" my install. I have no idea what that means. I'm providing the serial number as part of the install command line so is this not required? I've found a lot of confusing and contradicting posts so I'm hoping someone will be able to help.

This is not Adobe. Rather user to user. And, from what you wrote, this is a volume licensing/silent install question that needs to be directed to Adobe. The chances are remote that your question will be seen and answered by another user who works within the realm of volume licensing and has had experience with silent install.

Unable to install iTunes on PC with XP Home

I have loaded iTunes by running the CD and following the instructions it provided, accepting all defaults such as location for files, etc. After re-starting, I click on the iTunes shortcut on the desktop and get a message window stating "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" It gives the option to submit the error report to MS, which I have done. The error signature contained within the report is as follows. "AppName: itunes.exe, AppVer: 6.0.0.18, ModName: unknown, ModVer: 0.0.0.0, Offset: 10001040".
Reading the various information on this site 2 questions come to mind. Firstly, the installation did not prompt me at any time to connect my iPod - should it have done ? Secondly, because of other problems in setting up the PC, I have had to carry out a system restore. Might this have had any effect ?
Can anyone suggest programs / steps that might help me identify the cause of the unsuccesful install.

Given it seems to be such a known recovery from these kind of errors, I'm surprised it is not covered better by a KB article or similar.
(wry smile) actually, it is covered by a KB doc ... but my policy is not to be surprised or annoyed if people don't find it, since the error message is given wrongly in the doc (so people don't find the article if they search on their error message):

usually this particular complication responds better to brute force rather than finesse. you can try just reinstalling a copy of the standalone QT installer "over top" of what you already have, rather than doing an uninstall first.
on the other hand, it's a bit distressing that your Add/Remove isn't working properly at the moment (it usually suggests something a little funky is happening with your registry). so if you want to try getting rid of those additional QT references showing up there, try this:
download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility:

... and use it to remove the installation registry entries for your Quicktime. then use the complete uninstall instructions given here as a guide for a manual uninstall of your existing QT:

Unable to install Orable Enterprise Linux with LSI MegaRAID 8300XLP

I could not install Oracle Enterprise Linux on the PC with LSI MegaRAID 8300XLP
On the boot prompt, i typed "linux dd" with USB floppy driver, but it did not detect the driver.

I got the megaraid driver from fujitsu siemens and followed instruction from “Linux Driver for Primergy Servers” to create Linux driver image.
Note: mega_sas.ett, mega_sas.sh and mega_sas.biz
I formatted the floppy disk, then I run the script, mega_sas in Linux. The script will generate some files which need for LSI MegaRAID 8300XLP.
The three files (mega_sas.ett, mega_sas.sh and mega_sas.biz) have to be on the same directory.
RedHat 4 U4 x86 64 bits
On the boot prompt, I typed a command “linux dd ” with the LSI MegaRAID 8300 XLP driver image , and it detected the driver. I could load OS on TX150-S5.
Oracle Enterprise Linux x86 64 bit R4-U4
On the boot prompt, I typed a command “linux dd” with the same driver image which I used it on RedHat 4 U4 x86 64 bit, and it could not detect the driver.
During the installation, on the page which gives me two options for partitioning the disk,

Unable to install lib32 group even with [multilib] enabled

I just installed and set up a new system tonight and I'm beginning to configure catalyst, lib32-catalyst-utils, etc. and noticed that I can't install the entire lib32 group using:
sudo clyde -S lib32
or even
sudo clyde -S lib32-*
as it says in the wiki for multilib. Strangely I'm able to do so still with my laptop with Arch 64. I've even copied /etc/pacman.d, pacman.conf, and clyde.conf all to the new system and attempted to install it.
Furthermore I can't install lib32-gcc (as well as a bunch of other dependencies). I've cleared cache using -Scc on pacman and clyde both, and I've deleted /tmp/clyde-$USER_NAME
It seems like there is some underlying problem with my lib32 sync cache somewhere because I only fail with lib32 packages. I see package and it prompts to edit the PKGBUILD, but if I say no it goes to bash and says 'PKGBUILD doesn't exist'. If I try to edit it then it's completely blank.
I'm tired so I'm sure it's something that's slipped my mind, but anyone have any suggestions here? I really will hate to go through and install every package manually using makepkg.....

Well I guess it's manual install time. I'm still not sure why I can't install the lib32 packages from the AUR manually though.
This is causing all sorts of problems. In order to build lib32-catalyst-utils I need lib32-libstdc++5. In order to build that I need lib32-gcc, which doesn't exist in the AUR anymore. :\

Unable to install Itunes 7.1 with NAS

I was having problems with my ipod and software so I uninstalled Itunes 7.1 and went to reinstall. I have not been able to reinstall 7.1 but I was able to install 6.0 which came with my 5g ipod.
Version 6.0 works fine but when I try to install 7.1, I get the message "could not access network location \\musicserver\ My Name\my music\ itunes. Is there anyway I can direct 7.1 to another location?

Did you skip the step to set password for administrator during the installation?
It seems that if SIA cannot connect to CMS after the installation, it will not be shown in the CCM.
