Unable to install ME, chipset drivers on MSI GD-65 Z87 Gaming

I have no idea what's the reason. Tried re-installing Windows 8.1 and it still gives me an error when trying to install. I was on BIOS 1.5 and then updated to the latest BIOS and same problem. Anyone knows how to fix this please?

I suggest you upgrade Windows as much as possible (with windows update) as until it recognizes the [PCI Simple Communication Device] driver (that's the missing driver name).
Windows ME (PCI S.C.D.) for the mobo can't install because the installation fails for the lack of a windows subroutine installed with some windows update upgrade.
I had the very same problem on Win7 (both Prof. and Ultimate). Problem was solved with the complete installation of the SP1 (around 400mb of stuff to be downloaded in different times and reboots. You may feel you are forced windows to check out for upgrades because it could not do it, itself).
Hope it aids!
Thanks and I have updated Windows Update to the maximum (no more new updates) and I still can't install any of these drivers. The ME, chipset drivers won't work and I can't even use iTunes because it couldn't detect my iPhone/iPad. I can do everything perfectly fine on my other i3 PC running on an ASUS board.
Why is MSI giving so much of problems? :(

  • Satellite L850 - Win8.1 won't let me install the chipset drivers

    Hi,
After i upgraded to windows 8.1 pro 64 bit from windows 8 64 bit (pre-installed), i figured that windows won't let me install the chipset drivers (downloaded from "toshiba site" for windows 8.1 pro 64 bit), but they remain with the windows drivers installed for them.
The device manager shows everything installed and properly using. Also, when the set up was running to install the chipset driver, it skipped most of them, to install only a missing driver (sadly haven't kept any screen to show). I tried to install using the device manager (either auto search or manually browsing in the pc the downloaded files from site), but it keeps saying that drivers are up to date (having drivers with version of 2006, when the latest on site are 2014). Any suggestion of what to do?
    Model name: Satellite L850-1MK

    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM cpu @ 2.4GHz
    GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7600M

Problem solved, after even a deeper google search, i found that if y make a shortcut and add to it a command (-OVERALL), it forcefully installs all components.

  • Unable to install Boot Camp Drivers for Windows

Mac Pro (2) 3.2 Xeon quads
    Mac OS 10.5.2
Boot Camp side - Windows XP pro x64 w/SP2
Step 3 listed in the instructions for setting up Boot Camp is to Install the Boot Camp drivers for Windows. At this point Windows recognizes my Mac Install disk 1. I get the following message: "the installer encountered errors before Boot Camp could be configured. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again." I am not sure if I needed to do something to install the Service Pack 2? My firmware is at MP31.006C.B02 and 1.25f4. When I checked for the latest firmware, it returned a message that it was not necessary.
Maybe the XP pro x64 is not compatible?

I did install windows xp sp2 32 bit on my macbook pro 2.2 GB and I'm getting the same ...
When trying to install boot camp drivers, a message came up saying:
Boot Camp requires that your computer is running Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista.
The only option it gave me was to click the "OK" button. When I clicked OK , another message came up saying:
Boot Camp Installer completed. The install encountered errors before Boot Camp could be configured. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again. Click "finish" to exit installer. I am running a brand new full retail version of windows xp service pack 2. Applecare will not help blaming Microsoft and of course Microsoft is blaming Apple. • Unable to install new display drivers

When I'm in Windows 7, I want to update my display drivers because the ones I have are very old. However, when I try to install them using the Catalyst-program from ATI, they say everything installed, but nothing is there. I've checked the install catalogue, but it's empty. I've checked on Device Manager on my display drivers, and it's still the old one.
The one I have installed is version 8.661.0.0, dated 2009-09-23. The newest one is like 10.2.
This is seemingly affecting the performance on my computer because I can't use the new drivers.
I've tried uninstalling the old ones and installing the new, didn't work. Tried using Driver Sweeper, didn't work. I don't know what to do, or if it's even possible to upgrade the drivers.
I have ATI Radeon HD 4850.
    null

I have installed the 10.3 on my 27" imac. i was able to play games on it with no problems.. xD
    installing it was pretty easy,
    1) install Catalyst 10.3 and follow the steps until you reached the finish page
    2) go to your Device Manager and look for Display Adapter
    3) click on it, and a sub tab should appear, mine was ATI radeon HD 4670
    4) right click and click update driver
    5) there should be 2 options which is search online and find on your disk...
    6) choose the second option
    7) that should bring you to the next page which you should click on the 'I have the file' option
    8) this should you bring you to a page with existing drivers
    9) click on have disk
    10) and search for the ATI file which you download.
    11) follow along the path, ATI>10_3xxxxxx>*something inbetween* > package>display>CL_xxx file ( i am currently not on the windows and just rambling based on memory, so pardon me.. =P)
    11) after selecting OK it should display a long list of drivers inwhich you just find yours
    12) install! the com should prompt you about how unsafe it is, but just click OK
    13) after the driver is install, it should be okay to try any games without any error.
I hope this help you, but i do have one problem... once i have installed the driver, it works fine, but when i restart my computer, it will have a BSOD and i would have to restart and reinstall the driver... i'm pretty sure something is wrong with it... so if anyone has the same problem and have found a solution, please do tell me!... xD

  • Unable to install latest Nvidia drivers. (GT72)

I just got my GT72 in the mail and now I'm about setting it up.
When I tried installing the latest Nvidia drivers (340.52-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international-whql.exe)
and the setup failed with an error that it can't find any compatible graphic adapter.
The Nvidia drivers that was running on the GT72 was 333.something, I don't remember.
I tried uninstalling this driver that I had just the "Microsoft basic VGA adapter", but the Nvidia Setup is still not working.
And yes, I was making sure that I switched the graphics to NVIDIA before installing the driver.
    Any suggestions?

Follow these steps to do s fresh clean installation of any version of nvidia drivers:-
Press "Windows Key" + "R" together and type %temp% then press "Ok".
In that new window, press “Ctrl” + “A” together to select all the files and folders
Then press “Shift” + “Delete” to remove them. (leave few files which you are not able to delete)
Try "Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) " to completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, without leaving leftovers behind (including registry keys, folders and files, driver store) :
    http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
    1. Better to create a "system restore" point before using it.
    2. You do NOT need to uninstall "NVIDIA Graphics" drivers before using DDU
    3. Open the link and click on "Download" button. It will open another page, select the topmost "Download" button for the latest version.
    4. Then run : "DisplayDriverUninstaller.exe" file
    5. It will give you a notice to create "Restore Point", so better to create one ( if not created earlier ).
    6. Click "No" when it asks "Reboot in safe mode now ?"
    7. Select Nvidia from the dropdown menu on the top, Select all the 5 checkboxes there. Then click on "Clean and Restart" button.
    8. try "Perform Clean Installation" while installing the latest driver

  • Unable to install windows 7 drivers

Hi, I have installed windows 7 using the bootcamp created USB. Before I did that, I have also downloaded and saved the Windows Support files to a separate USB. After I installed windows, I tried to install the drivers, but windows couldn't read the USB because it is missing the drivers. (which are on the USB).
*Sidenote* I have also installed windows 7 using the bootcamp on my macbook pro. I had the same driver issue, so I just burned the drivers to a CD, but the mac mini doesn't have an optical drive.

    Hello everyone,
As the struggle was real, I thought I would also participate in this thread and share my testimonial with you.
For more than a week, I had been attempting to set up Windows 7 x64 on my mid-2014 MacBook Air 13", but to no avail. I was so sick of witnessing the infamous black screen, "no bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key", or the "select your language" window in the Windows 7 PE with no keyboard nor mouse alive, that I had almost given up on it all.
But that was before I came across the present thread. I diligently applied your procedure and IT WORKED LIKE MAGIC
    My specs:
    - Mid-2014 MacBook Air 13" with pre-installed Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks)
    - Windows 7 x64 Home Premium ISO file
    - The most basic USB 2.0 flashdrive one can get
    - (Note: I did not have rEFIt installed)
You must be some kind of wizard. I signed up just to upvote this, no kidding!
I sincerely wish this post gets the visibility it deserves.
    Thank you so much!
    Cheers,

The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application" Any help with this problem will be much appreciated. • Neo 2 Platinum nForce 3 Ultra chipset drivers?

Does anyone know of a place that I can grab the chipset drivers that MSI provides for the nForce 3 Ultra chipset?  I have tried the ones from the nVidia site and after they install my network card the machine reboots and windows won't load.  Prior to that(about 2 weeks before this reformat) I installed the drivers from the MSI site without a hitch.  Normally i'd just grab them from here but the problem is it has been almost 8+ hours now and the site containing all the drivers/bios etc.. is giving me mysql errors or not loading at all.
edit nm finally came back up.

The 5.11 driver set has caused a lot of people problems with the network driver; many people are sticking with 5.10 drivers instead, which also be downloaded from the nVidia site and are arguably the most recent stable set.  The ones on the MSI site work for you because they're older (5.03 IIRC), but you can probably update to 5.10 without any problems.

  • P55-CD53, how to install SATA AHCI drivers and Matrix Storage Manager?

Please excuse my noobness as this is for my first PC build and much of it is Greek to me, but could someone please inform/educate me as to what the following drivers (link) are for and which need to be installed after a fresh installation of Windows 7 Pro x64? Do I need to install all of them because some of these appear to be redundant, just from different manufacturers, or am I mistaken? I have a single 500GB HDD but will probably add more down the road.

    Thanks.
After booting from the Windows 7 disc, I selected Repair Windows, Load Drivers. Which specific controllers do I need to install for the P55-CD53 MB since there are multiple controllers listed for each of the four SATA compressed files?
Considering the multiple files and multiple controllers, is there no one out there with a P55-CD53 that has AHCI mode enabled that can give dumbed down instructions on how to do so?
The manual states "Select the appropriate RAID controller and press enter." Well... which one is the appropriate controller? Am I suppose to load the driver for all the AHCI controllers if that's even possible?
For the Intel P55 AHCI / RAID Drivers compressed file, these are the controllers available within F6flpy64\iaAHCI.inf:
    Intel(R) ESB2 SATA AHCI Controller
Intel(R) ICH 10D/DO SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH10R SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH7M/MDH SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH7R/DH SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH8M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH8R/DH/DO SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) ICH9R/DO/DH SATA AHCI Controller
    Intel(R) PCH SATA AHCI Controller
Intel(R) PCHM SATA AHCI Controller 4 Port
Intel(R) PCHM SATA AHCI Controller 6 Port
Also, regarding the dual BIOS controls for SATA/IDE/RAID settings previously mentioned, I believe SATA ports 1-6 are controlled via Intel and 7,8 are controlled via Jmicron. Considering my HDD is currently plugged into SATA 1, Jmicron probably isn't necessary for the moment.
    Edit:
Turns out that none of the drivers for the controllers listed in iaAHCI.inf could be installed. However, I went ahead and installed the drivers listed for all the controllers in iaStor.inf. I reinstalled Windows 7 to get rid of the BSOD. I then installed the chipset drivers and Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

  • PC Suite 7.0.8.2 don't install CA-42 drivers

    Hi all:
A few days ago I have to reinstall my Dell D620 with Windows XP SP3 (Spanish version) from scratch.
So I decide to install the latest pcsuite software for my Nokia 5140b... so good so fine. The installation was smooth until have to recognize the CA-42 cable.
The Windows detect the CA-42 cable but was unable to install the correct drivers... so I'm disappointed and stuck.
    Why disappointing:
because every one and a half release version of PCSuite gave trouble with the CA-42 drivers...For example before reinstall I was using Nokia_PC_Suite_rel_6_85_12_0_spa_co_web/Nokia_PC_Suite_6_84_10_3_spa_co_web without problems with the CA-42 cable... Before that 6.82 gave me the same problem as with 7.0.8.2. Why QA don't work with 5140/CA-42 (duo)????
Isn't suppose that a new release keep what was working and fix the wasn't working??
    Stuck:
because I can downgrade my PCSuite to the working release but as far I use I keeps suggesting me that there is a new version... so If I upgrade my CA-42 don't works..
    So I need to know:
    a) Is there a new release that correctly install the CA-42 drivers?
    b) How can I "expand" the .exe file to manually point windows to where the drivers are and hopefully let work my CA-42 cable??
Thanks a lot and keep working...
PD: For that people who will ask... yes my cable is original one (bought from a nokia reseller) and have this serial #:060020028.
    Help-->About--->info capture from actual PCSuite.
    Solución de conectividad para PC:
    versión 8.22.4.0
    Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver:
    versión 7.0.2.0

I'm pretty fed up with the "solutions" for this problem on these discussion boards. Turning off virus checkers and firewalls to make the "improved" version of PC Suite work when the old one did just fine makes no sense to me. If I was that interested in computers I would have majored in them. I'm just mad and don't want to learn how to do Windows System commands.
Would Nokia make previous versions of PC Suite that work available as downloads again?

  • Unable to instal VOX USB 2.0 drivers in WINDOWS XP Prof. SP2

    Hi,
I am unable to instal drivers in Windows XP Prof. SP2 for VOX USB 2.0. When I instal drivers from manufacturer's CD, instalation tells me, that it cannot instal some update for XP SP1. But I have SP2, so it should be OK. Then, after computer restart, I connected VOX and windows could not recognize it and asked me for drivers. I tried to instal drivers manually from the cd, but windows always tells me, that it cannot find driver on CD. I tried to download latest drivers from MSI website, but I had the same problem with it. What should I do? I am unable to use the TV tuner
Could anybody write me exact procedure how to instal it, please please!
    Thank You very much.
(I have tried to instal it on another computer with Windows XP Prof. SP2 and it did not work also. The same problem.)

Yes, my system has USB 2.0. It is P4 2.4GHz Northwood, motherboard: MSI 648 Max, 1GB of DDRAM (333MHz), MSI GeForce 4 MX 460, SoundBlaster Live! player 1024, pci card with aditional USB 2.0 ports (NEC chipset), SIS 900 pci NIC, 2x WesternDigital Caviar 1200JB, pci IDE controller SiliconImage 0680a (harddisks are not connected as RAID), DVD-ROM Pioneer, DVD burner LG GSA-4163B.
I have tried to connect VOX directly to USB port on motherboard and also to NEC USB pci card, but it did not work anyway.
I have disconnected all USB devices from the computer, except the mouse.
Windows is updated from MS Windowsupdate website.  I use Windows XP SP2 firewall and Microsoft Antispyware beta and antivirus software (I have tried to turn them off during the TV VOX installation, but it did not help).
And I  also use power supply for TV VOX.
