Unable to install MSO 2010 H&S - no error msg - no indications
I've been servicing computers and MS software for over 20 years and never seen this.. (which is maybe, much to my 'good luck').
A client had me perform a 'clean' install of Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) on his somewhat aging Dell XPS laptop (Core2-Duo T8300, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD) which was
totally 'hosed' by his 12-year old son after he stumbled across some 'malicious' infiltrations of 'junk' from God knows what web site. I did my best to clean up the mess but eventually, it was decided
to simply 'back up' his data and "blow away" Windows 7 and prform the clean installation. Just like usual, this went "flawlessly" (install from USB flash drive)... And afterwards, knowing that he also likes MS Office, I asked
him about his intentions for an 'office suite' - recommending either Office 2010 or 2013. I was told he'd "deal with it" later, so I delivered the newly installed system just after also installing his preferred choice of AV/firewall (Norton
Internet Security 2014). Everything was "peachy" - and then I got "The Call"... He'd purchased an online download of MSOffice 2010 H&S and was having "..problems" installing it. So I came over to take a look
... and he's right. The program will NOT install - and worse - there's no indications as to why. It simply does not even start the installation (I see the 'spinning' icon that normally shows progress - and then it simply disappears after less than
10 seconds). Hmm... So I looked at anything that might cause this (another 'malware' infection..? Anything 'missing' in the single file installer? etc.) but nothing seems 'readily apparent'. So, I downloaded an entirely new 'iso'
image of MSO2010H&S - extracted the files - 'burned' them to a DVD - and the same thing happens. Pretty much nothing... So, just as a 'trial' I then tried installing some other MS software from a similar 'iso' (ie: MSO2013 Pro) - and these
begin and complete the installation just fine. BUT NOT MSO2010... just will not 'run'...
So I am seemingly stumped... what is it with this MSO2010 installation? Any input? This has me scratching my head, no doubt..

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on a Lenovo ThinkPad E530. This laptop is only brands new.
KB954430, KB973688 & KB2538243 - These three updates keep giving me problems. In Windows Update, under "view update history" these keep showing up as failed. I also get the error, "Code 643".
At the end of the installation it tells me three updates are failed to be installed and when I shut down to try to update, Windows always configures up to ~15%, then fails, and reverts changes, then prompts me to install updates the next time I turn my computer on. Each time, I have to re-install every update that I had installed prior to shutting down.
I went through Trouble shooter - "Fix it" numerous times, Repaired Net framework profile and also followed few instructions I found from the net such as running "Reset Register Windows update Components" but nothing works so far.
I even tried manually installing KB954430 but it told me "An error occurred during the installation of assembly component. 7B30B69B-OE6C-B7EO-A06B-D6B9ABF34537 HR RESULT: 0 x 80070BC9" and the installation bar seems to stop at "Publishing Product information", then rolls back the installation.

Attempted to re-install the original Adobe Acrobat 10 Pro from the disk provided with the purchase; and it has put me in a trial; and is requesting that I purchase the software I already paid for, two years ago.You can try a repair (may need to go to Control Panel>Programs & Features). A reinstall is a last resort, but if you go there be sure to uninstall from the control panel, run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, and remove any part left of the Acrobat folder. Then reboot as the administrator and reinstall. Be sure to disable antivirus during the install.

If you are trying to update your iPhone over-the-air rather than through iTunes, and you are having issues with installing it, then I'd like you to please follow the steps outlined below.
If you get a message that "an error occurred downloading iOS," try again later. If the issue persists, try updating your device in another network or use iTunes to update your device. Learn more about iOS updates.
Update does not complete
If you're installing the update and the progress bar appears to move slowly, be patient. The time an update takes depends on the size of the update and the number of files on the device.
When you're updating over the air, keep your device connected to a power source so that it doesn't run out of power. If your device does run out of power, connect it to a power source and turn on the device to let the update or restore complete.
If the update never completes and the progress bar hasn't moved for an extended time, try restarting your device. If you still see the issue after you restart, see what to do if your device appears frozen or won't start.

ShivIs this a clean install or an upgrade? 20 GB, though greater than the minimum, is pretty minimal. How much memory do you have on the system? 2008 would try to create a page file of 1.5x physical memory, so if you are building on a large
memory system, you could be having an issue there.

We have tried running uninstall_flash_player.exe to try and clean things up but this still fails. Is there a known problem with installing Flash player ActiveX on Windows 8? Flash player Plugin works fine just the ActiveX version which does not.

Unable to install v 4.6 desktop software. error:installing sonic update manager
I have tried to instal "Desktop Manager 4.6.0 B15 - With Media Manager" but unable to instal sonic media manager on separate computers. Problem occurred with roxio manager continually trying to install and forming constant 'loop' which I couldnt escape. Operating system was windows xp with SP3. Ran sonic isum_hotfix.exe and then used windows installer clean-up. Presently, have been unable to backup handheld (Bold) and same problem on two separate computers. Any help would be appreciated as I am a computer novice.

I finally got the program to install/run. I downloaded a third copy and saved it again on the desktop. I selected "Run as Administrator" instead of "Run" It must have been the 10th plus time I tried to install, but this time it completed. I don't know if the "Run as Administrator" was the key since it is Vista, or if I just got lucky. Either way I am relieved.

Account installing SQL server does not have permission to access this. I think case can be here that account with which you logged into your system to install SQL Server might not have certain privileges. Can you take help
of domain admin account add it as a local administrator in this machine always right click on setup file and select run as administrator. Before this make sure you remove all SQL Server components from add remove program
