  • How do I eject the install disk on the mini mac?

In wiping the mini mac, it keeps looping to the erase and install.  It won't allow me to shut down or eject the disk to put in the program disk.  When the screen gets to the Install Mac OS X, it won't show any disk (the Mac Mini) to install it.  I used the Utilities to erase and install, but I can't go any further.  It should install with a system lower than the OS X Yosemite.

  • Unable to install adobe flash on my Mac

unable to install adobe flash on my MAC

Paul, try this. Ir worked for me.
Essentially the online installer, which you're using downloads and installs Flash Player silently in the background.  For some reason, the download is failing.  Please try the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page in the 'Still having problems' section.

  • Unable to install CS6 master collection for mac book pro(late 2011)

Recently, I have successfully downloaded Adobe creative suite CS6 master collection for MAC.
However, I am unable to install it. After opening the installer nothing happens, it does not proceed further. I have tried copying the contents from MasterCollection_CS6_LS16.dmg to another folder and then open the install.app, still no progress.
Please advice since I really need to install this.
    Screenshot below:

Hey Vikrant thanks for the response.
The situation is like this, I downloaded the image on my desktop pc(which is windows) and then compress & split the image using a winrar. I then transferred the files to my mac book pro and extracted the image there. Unfortunately, there was a bug in the unarchiver software that I was using on mac to extract the image.
This bug was rectified today in a update given out by the dev.
Now, I can install CS6 without any issues. Thanks for the repsonse once again.

  • Unable to install purchased apps on other Mac devices

Did the App store policy recently change? When I purchase software on App store, I've always been able to install the software on my multiple Mac devices tied to my Apple ID. I purchased some software this morning on my MacBook Air, but now I can't install this software on my Mac desktop system. It says it's installed already, which is only true for the laptop.
Is one still supposed to be able to install Mac software on multiple Mac computers using the same user ID?....

Hmm...I'll check that out. But this is strange. I've only installed the apps so far on a completely separate computer -- my MacBook Air. My Mac mini upstairs doesn't have these apps installed already. Strange...I'll do some digging as I'm sure I'll get this figured out somehow when I have more time to research further.

  • Help Installing windows 7 on mini Mac 10.5.

installing windows 7 on my mini Mac with boot Camp that doesn't work

Doesn't work does not tell us anything by which to help or go on, either.
    www.apple.com/support/bootcamp
there are threads from other mac-mini users
Windows 7 needs 10.6.3+ (and actually the drivers in Lion 10.7.4 are the newest and less trouble).

  • Unable to install windows 8 on the mac

how do I install windows 8 on the Mac I tried but cannot get past windows set up . Where do you want to install windows? I have highlighted Drive 0 Partion 4 and it comes up with this We couldn't creat a new Partion or locate an existing one.

There are two different methods of installation, EFI and MBR, you are running a method which is combination of both. Either your MBR is incorrect or BCA failed to create one. EFI method requires a partition which is Free Space and the disk is GPT-only while MBR method expects to the disk to be partitioned already. If you see 'disk0 partition 4', it is the MBR method, and BCA could have failed.
Please post the output of the following Terminal command. You will be prompted for your password, and it will not be echoed back to you. "sudo" will also warn you about improper and potential data loss due to such 'abuse'.
    sudo fdisk /dev/disk0
sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0

    Hi PanosKal,
I understand you have a Deskjet Ink Advantage 2645 that you're trying to install on a 10.6 Mac without much luck thus far. I'm sorry to hear this, but I will definitely do my best to assist you.
I believe it may have just been an issue with the download. I downloaded the software package on our 10.6 Mac here and I was able to run the installation, so the software itself is working.
I will direct you right to the download page for the Deskjet Ink Advantage 2645, and please try downloading and installing the software once more. If it still doesn't work, could you please take a screen shot of what happens and then post it here for me? Thank you!
Hope this helps, have a great weekend!!

  • Unable to Install Windows 8 on 2011 Mac Mini

I'm having problems installing Windows 8 on my 2011 Mac Mini.
Obviously I've gone through the BootCamp Assistant, partitioned my drive and then rebooted and started the Windows 8 install process. I can go through the initial bits Region, entering my product key but when I go to choose the partition where I want to install Windows 8 there is a yellow triangle with the 'Windows cannot be installed to this volume' message when the BOOTCAMP partition is highlighted. When I click more info I get the following pop up messages:
'Windows cannot be installed to this disk - The selected disk has an MBR Partition table. On EFI systems Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
Windows cannot be installed to this disk - This computers hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disks controller is enabled in the computers BIOS system.
Any Ideas as to why I cannot proceed with the install or why Windows 8 is not accepting the prepared partition.
The installed HDD is a Toshiba MK5065GSXF Revision GV108B (Apple original)
    Regards
    John

Sounds like you have another device connected which is using GPT/GUID partition and that is stopping you.
For some it means removing or disconnecting a drive or external device.
This has existed since Vista days.
Don't connect USB device until afterwards when you need the drivers, or format the drivers disk not just FAT or exFAT but as Windows partition (in DU under Partitions: Options where you can select GUID or Windows).

  • Unable to install FCS2 on a new mac that has better spec's than min. req,

I got 2 new MacPro's with 2x 3.2Ghz Quads, 16gigs RAM, Nvidia 8800GT's, Snow Leapord fully updated, Each has the OS on VelociRaptor Drives and a extra 3TB of space......
My problem is when I try and install Final Cut Studio 2 on them...It says
I dont have the "Hardware" to install the app. Last I checked the above spec's
were better than the minimal requirements.
So I am wondering if anyone else has this issue and what they did to work around this. Do I need to download a patch or a hotfix ?

They install on as many as ya want...ya just cant run it at the same time from 2 machines. So I am fully aware of those issues. We have 5 copies of FCS we work from. I am simply transfering software to a new machine and giving the slower computer to a coworker who is part-time (plus she doesnt use FCS so it gets deleted from old one).
Per the point when it "errors"....it's in the begining when the install software checks the hardware. The check comes back as "not having the hardware to run FCS".
It's really odd and I cant figure it out.

  • Unable to install Plugin on 64-bit Mac

I have a Mac OS X Lion 64 bit with Flash builder 4.6. I downloaded the SAP Netweaver Gateway Plugin and followed the readme.html instructions to install and it does not work. First it said "No software site found at jar:file:/.....flash...zip!/". Do you wish to edit the location.
Then I change the address to jar:/<absolutepath>/<filename.zip> and then it said
Unable to read repository at jar:/Users/kalyanbk/Downloads/flashbuilder_sap_p2_plugin_121211.zip/content.xml.
There is no file content.xml that I could see when I expanded the zip file. Please advise.

It was my mistake that I was execuing the installer.jar. The downloaded zip file server103_generic.zip has to be renamed to a jar file server103_generic.jar and the same has to be executed.

  • Unable to install Tiger on a Mini

I bought a refurbished Mac Mini from Apple last week, and it came with OS X 10.3.7 installed. It also came with a 2 CD set that has Tiger on it. When I boot from the Tiger CD, I get an error that says that this software cannot be installed on this computer. Is it possible that Apple sent me the wrong Tiger CD?

That is what happened I bet.
    It happened to me also.
The install disc they sent me with the refurbished mini did NOT say "Tiger Install DVD" it said "Tiger Install CD" on it.
They shipped a new one and I now have Tiger.
If your disc says "CD" and NOT "DVD" that is most likley the problem.
    Hope this helps
    John
