Unable to install Premiere Elements 11 [was: Question,]
Why is it almost impossible to install Adobe products,Yesterday I bought a new camera and Adobe Premiere Elements 11 came with it, and after spend almost 2 days trying to install it I gave and nearly threw my laptop through the window in the process, so then I tried getting help from Adobe , that proved to be a total waste of time,, so then I tried to download Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 ( trial ) another waste of time, at this stage my laptop is getting closer and closer to the window, I've done everything it told me to do,but nothing would work,, so if anyone out there could help me, I would be over the moon,, Now I better go and clean up all the loose hair on my desk, and I've no idea just how I'm going to explain the big red ( bloody ) bald on my head,because if I tell her how it really happened, I think she might send for the men in the white coats@
Hello John, My operating system is Windows 8.1 64 bit, well the disc I have is brand new, I actually got 2 discs with a new camera,I only bought on Tuesday.1; Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5;; ( no problem with this one ), 2; Adobe Premiere Elements 11, ( this was when the fun started ) I loaded the disc, followed all instructions on screen,, it downloaded until it came to approx 90%. then a window appeared saying there was an error and asked me to Retry, Abort or Ignore, I hit the retry button,, nothing happened, so I tried the ignore button, still nothing happened, so I tapped the ignore button again a few times , then it finished downloading, ( I thought this is great ) until the installation began, that went great until about 86% then the window popped up again ,, Retry; Abort or Ignore, but this time no matter what I did , it would not complete the installation, I tried this at least 10 times and everytime with the same results,so then I tried to download a 30 trial of Photoshop Elements 13, , yes you've guessed right, the exact same thing happened,I'd be very grateful for any help you might be able to give me.Kind Regard's,Barry.

I have installed photoshop elements but cannot do so with photoshop premiere elements as I am told that the prossesor is wrong.

Unable to install Premiere Elements 13 upgrade
During the zip file extraction, it quickly jumps from 20% to 97% and then reports:
"A problem occurred while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder."
There is over 800GB available on the drive and I am running as Administrator with full rights to the machine. As a result, I thought the zip file must have been corrupted during download. I have downloaded 3 times using two different browsers, a 4th time using the alternate download method, and a 5th time with all anti-virus and firewall protections temporarily disabled.
In all cases, I still receive the same error during the .zip file extraction.
Ideas?Thanks for the response Jeff. I was eventually able to connect with Support through a Chat session. They provided links to download a trial version of Premiere Elements, which I was able to install and then apply my license. The Support rep said this is necessary in about 1% of the installation attempts, which is interesting since it has been necessary on both of my computers so far. I tried the same approach with Photoshop Elements, but the first attempt failed with a similar error. I am trying on the second computer now. It really should not be this difficult to install a purchased product. I also wasted over 3 hours on hold today attempting to get a refund (before I was able to connect with Support). Not a good experience.

Unable to install Premiere elements on mac
I am trying to install Adobe Premiere Elements 10. I am on a Mac and start with disc 3. It gets 51% done then exits with exit code 7 and the following message

What do I do?Thanks for all the replies. Steve has the correct answer. I just do not understand why a program bought directly from Adobe would be shipped when Adobe knows it needs a fix. Why do they not at least note it with the shipment. Not everyone know to check this forum and most people assume a company like Adobe to sell only quality products.

Unable to install premiere element with student activation code?
I bought my student premiere element and photoshop combo pkg in October 2014. When I got home I could not install the program permanently without waiting for Adobe to accept my student ID and provide a serial number to install both. I received it but did not use my paid copy right away. Instead I used the schools. Now I am trying to install it (again, first one I deleted today) but no matter what I do it will not accept my 16 digit serial number. I have been working on this since 8 pm last night. Adobe would not answer on line. Today I went back to Best Buy they couldn't help me, but tried their best. The Geek Squad guy said I should contact Adobe. I have been waiting on hold for 30 minutes. I NEED TO GET THIS DOWNLOADED FOR A SCHOOL PROJECT. Any advice?

Exit Code 24 - Cannot install Premiere Elements 10
Having downloaded and installed premiere elements 10 i experienced problems with the program and especially the help facility which just didnt work.
I went ahead and purchased a full copy of the program in the belief that a fresh full install would resolve the problem.
However I am unable to either uninstall the faulty program or install the purchased item.
Instead it just states that photoshopserver must be stopped but even when i do this you cannot progress at all!
Any help would be much appreciated.
The installation is on an iMac running OSX Lion and everything is up to date.
I have uploaded a fault report package but have no idea how to link it with any reported error.
Exit Code 24 is all that gets reported when you have to cancel the install process which is the only optionBrian,
I appreciate the clarification. I just got confused with the terms, and needed to know more. Now things make more sense to me, though I am troubled by perhaps the way that Adobe either designed, or implemented their installer module. Usually, the only trouble that one has with an Adobe installer is something fritzed in the OS, like the MSI module in Windows (there were many problems with one - think that it was on Vista - and MS fixed that), or just plain old OE, where one tries to run the installation routine for the Functional Content (Extras), before actually installing the program. Normally, they are very good, though there was one for an update to PrPro, that had to be pulled and reworked. The update feature worked fine upon release, but when Adobe packaged that update with an installation module, things got side-ways. It was pulled, and a new, re-written one was posted to Adobe.com in about 4 working days. Otherwise, it's normally easy, quick, virtually transparent, and no one has issues - that is what makes troubleshooting installation issues so tough - most of us never encounter them, and have to rely of "fixes," that we have read about. Sounds like there is an issue here.

Cannot install premiere elements 10 on my new macbook pro
cannot install premiere elements 10 on my new macbook pro. keep getting exit code 7 half way through installation and disc ejects. running OS X 10.7.2 (lion). have installed acrobat reader, flash player, tried safe start mode...nothing works...HELP!
Yes ..thats the log in Library/Logs/adobe/installers/
The log is called
Adobe Premiere Elements 10 10.0 12-01-2011.log.gz
it has more entries in that one log but they relate to earlier fails and are identical each time....
there is a photoshop log in there as well (I bought the bundle) but that installed succesfully.
It clearly falls over trying to install Sonicfire pro 5 for premiere elements but WHY is the question
I really dont know what else to suggest...curious that the original poster on this thread had the same error on install as me it seems on a macbook pro
I really would like this to be sorted obviously if possible as soon as possible given I paid for t and cant use it
any other thoughts?

Unable to install Photoshop Elements 10 from DVD
I bought Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 bundled. Premiere installed correctly.
And I am able to run and register that product.
PE did not but gave no error message on installation. In fact it gave indication that installation was finished.
Shortcut links create were invalid. After reading fourms I found the link to the PE editor and created
that myself. However the Organizer software was not loaded onto my fairly new Windows7 computer.
[Hence there was no previous Adobe installations or issues related to that.] Since no organizer software exists, I seem unable to load
a image into the editor program. I am on my 3rd try of re-installing. Software uninstalls everytime
between installations.
Can someone point me with what to do next? I am very knowledgeable with computers.

If you installed Premiere Elements, Elements Organize must be already installed on your computer.
This might not be a perfect solution, but can you open Elements Organizer from Adobe Premiere Elements, import your content into Organizer, and then use the options in elements organizer to open that content in Photoshop Elements? You could alternatively post your query on the Photoshop Elements forum (http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop_elements), or wait for an expert on this forum to get back to you with a better solution.

What are the computer operating systems involved? Are you installing from installation files (from online download purchase) or from installation disc
(from purchase in boxed packaging)? Answers to those questions would probably get you the best possible answer to your question.
If installation files.....
You are not going to be able to install a Premiere Elements Windows purchased serial number on a Mac computer or a Premiere Elements Mac
purchased serial number on a Windows computer.
If installation discs...
Box packaging typically comes with two installation discs....one for Windows and one for Mac. In this type of situation, typically you use one
serial number for them both. If that is the case, then the following applies...
Adobe allows you to use the same purchased activated serial number on no more than 2 of your computers. And, you do not use them at the same time.
If you are dealing with two computers with the same operating system, then you should be able to use that same purchased serial number for that operating system on no more than 2 of your computers. Again, you do not use them at the same time.

I have installed Premiere Elements 11 from a disc I bought from Amazon. I keeps asking me to re-install or if it does start stops a few minutes after I start a project. I have a windows 8.1 PC. I have tried numerous times to install the program and also to open it as Administrator as suggested by a friend but it still refuses to work. I need direct help from Adobe but don't know how to get to them on this website as they seem to rely on user forums to advise customers.

Msiexec error when installing Premiere Elements
I had a very disappointing time with support and still cannot install my new copy of PS Premiere Elements.
I downloaded the softare. Installed the PS Elements. It was smooth.
I then tried to install Premiere Elements and it does not work.
When I started the .exe it asked for a place to extract files. I did this. Then it tried to install. But after a while I get this box with the msiexec commands listed in it. Eg.

I then manually clicked on setup.exe I then got a screen asking for language, but then I get a windows showing again options for using msiexec command.
When I try using the Adobe Premiere Elements 10.msi then i get an error

Install Adobe Premiere Elements 10 using the setup.exe in the root folder.
I called support. They had me extract files into a folder off of eg C:\PS
I did this. Started the setup.exe, Same error as above msiexec.
He then had me install it with the runas administrator. I tried same error.
He then told me to create a new account on the computer with admin privileges. I didn’t really like this, but I did this . And restarted the setup but still same msexec error.
The support person said it was an admin error. Sadly I think he is wrong, he just read the message and quickly gave the first thing he could think of. I asked him why he felt that, and he said based on the error. However sadly I don’t believe he is understanding the “error” He saw the words “Administrative install - Installs a product on the network” (see above) and quickly said oh its an admin problem. I didn’t realize at the time that this is not really an error message regarding the administrator, but just the output of a badly formed command, with a default output of a badly formed command.
Let me explain..
What I believe is that somehow the script that is running the install is trying to run the msexec program and the output is simply the output of the msexec program when the parameters are not right. In fact if you open a dos prompt and type msiexec you get the exact same output. The error is not really an error but just the output like any other of a command with no perimeters. Like if you type defrag or copy from the command prompt with out the right parameters. The command gives a response. For some reason the support person saw the word “administrator” and quickly jumped to the conclusion oh its an administrator issue that was the error. The support person kept asking me if that was all and was definitely trying to get rid of me. It quite frankly was very disappointing that he didn’t know this how to resolve the issue and just wanted me to go away.
Can anyone tell me how to install this program. I am on a domain and have both domain and local passwords. Im using windows XP.

the problem is adobe's fault, a faulty script or something on the dvd.
in my situation, to get this program installed, i decided to do the following:
1) optional: copy the install dvd to hard drive.
2) locate the adobe premiere elements 10.msi file.
3) type in msiexec /a "adobe premiere elements 10.msi" /qb TARGETDIR="C:\tempfolder"
to unpacked the msi archive.
4) go into the c:\tempfolder/programfiles/Adobe
5) optional: copy or move the Adobe Premiere Elements 10 folder into your c:\Program Files\Adobe folder so it sits with the rest of your adobe programs
6) you have to make your own desktop icon
7) when you go into the premiere elements folder click on Adobe Premiere Elements.exe to start the program
8) it may tell you to download the Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager
so download it if necessary. the ApplicationManager2.0_all.exe file will silently install.
this does work HOWEVER, it doesnt really install it with all the registry etc. and doesnt integrate it into the PSE. So I dont think this is really the right option.

The version of the install software is definetely 32 bit. eg its PremiereElements_10_LS15_win32.exe with the corresponding win32 zipped file.
BTW the fact that I can extract the files and then run the program as a stand alone program means I think? that it is the right version and can run on this computer. Its obviously an install issue it seems.
The version of XP i have is XP prof sp3 version 5.1 build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.101209-1647
Based on your comment regarding the install version, I found and downloaded the 4.5 version of the msiexec software. Tried to install the PE again and got the same error ... EXCEPT that now the output comes from the 4.5 version instead of the previous version. eg.

Error Installing Premiere Elements 9 - Exit Code 7
Hi, I'm trying to install Premiere Elements 9 on a Mac (running 10.6.4), but it always comes up with an error, and the program can't be installed. Last time I tried it got to about 95% but then gave me this error:

I've tried this four or five times, and I always get exactly the same error. The only help the installer offered was "Please try restarting your system and try again." and all I could find on Adobe Support was "Install under Safe Boot Mode", which I tried, and it still failed.
Does anyone have any ideas whatsoever as to what I can do to actually get this installed?

Meantime, I've loaded Premiere Elements and run it on a couple of Macs, and it usually loads right up and runs beautifully. There does seem to be a conflict with Bridge sometimes, but I'm not sure if that's the case here or not.
It might be worth contacting Adobe's tech support. (You find contact information under the Contact button at the top of this page.) And, when you do, ASK FOR A MANAGER, don't just talk to whoever answers the phone. Most of the guys on the phones are just working from scripts and KB articles. If you can get a manager on the line, he and she will work through your unique situation.
Meantime, I'll keep my eyes open for solutions.
(BTW, I'm assuming you're using at least OSX 10.4 on at least a dual-core Intel processor.) -

I just paid $100.00 for the Element 11 software. Why is there NOT a manual included?? Sure it comes with the "get stated pamplet", but I need something to read as I edit photos. To download and copy from PC will eat up my ink>> ( over 400 pages)

EOS C100 and 5D Mark III - How to use together, match settings, etc.
I shoot with both of these cameras and wondering if anyone has a reference for matching the picture settings. For example, on the C100, there is a custom preset setting 'EOS Standard' that I assume corresponds to the 'Standard' picture style on the 5

Insert Error: Column name or number of supplied values does not match table definition.
I'm getting this error when I try to run my stored procedure, I have checked that the inserts matches the select, which seemed to be the issue for most of the time this question is asked. As far as I can tell they match so something else must be wron
