Unable to install previous version

Yahoo GameChannel uses Flash but did not work on my new
laptop.
I e-mailed Yahoo and received the following reply...
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Sports.
I appreciate your inquiry with regards to MLB StatTracker not
updating
in real-time.
Regretfully, the latest version of Adobe Flash is not
compatible with
StatTracker.
If MLB StatTracker does not update in real-time please remove
Adobe
Flash Player version 9.0.124.0.
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove
Programs -> Remove
Adobe Flash Player.
Once you have removed Adobe Flash Player version 9.0.124.0
please
download Adobe (Macromedia) Flash Player 9.0.115.0.
I downloaded the "previous versions" from Adobe and tried to
install 9.0.115.0 but get the following error:
"The Version of Adobe Flash Player ActiveX you are trying to
install is not the most current version.
Please visit
http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer
to obtain the latest, most secure version."
Why am I forbidden to install pervious versions that actually
work, when the latest version does not work with my application?
Please HELP! I need StatTracker/Gamechannel !
Thanks,
Majestyk007

It shouldn't be necessary to reboot the computer to complete an update.<br />
If a reboot is needed then that usually means that some (security) software is blocking files or you need elevated (UAC) permissions.<br />
Run the Firefox program once as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator).<br />
If that doesn't help then do a clean reinstall.<br />
Download a fresh copy of Firefox ([http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html]) and do a reinstall of Firefox on top of the current version.<br />
If that still causes the same problem then do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder.<br />

  • Firefox 4 wont even start up now. how do i uninstall firefox 4 and install previous version

want to know how to uninstall firefox 4 and install previous version. also where to get download of previous version

Your problem is caused by the Ask Toolbar which you have installed. There are compatibility issues between Ask and Firefox at the moment.
Please do the following to ensure a clean installation.<br><br>
#Use Internet Explorer to download Firefox 4.0.1 from this link: [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0.1] and choose "'''Save'''" when you see the prompt. Then save it to your desktop. ''Do not choose "Run"''.<br><br>
#Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (''don't checkmark the box'').<br><br>
#Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox<br><br>
#Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier.<br>
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.<br>
Next, click the Firefox button and go to Add-ons, then Extensions. Find the Ask Toolbar in there and click "Remove".
If you would still prefer to use the previous secure version, use this download link instead of the one to v4.0.1: [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html Download Firefox v3.6.17] Otherwise the installation procedure and removal of the Ask Toolbar is the same.

  • Unable to install latest version

I currently have version 8.0.1.11 installed on my laptop (which is running on Windows Vista) I am trying to upgrade to version 9.0.2, as my new iPod isn't compatible with the version I have running.
However I am unable to install this version, I get to the 67% stage and it freezes - I have left if running but still to no luck.
    Any help?

Okay. Rather than using Apple Software update for the install, let's try downloading an installer from the Apple Website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Does that install go through any better? Or do you get another problem at the 67% stage?

  • How Do I Remove Flash 11 and install previous version?

    Hi Everyone,
While Flash Player 11 seems to work for me with most things (e.g. YouTube, most news and video sites, etc),  I find that it is crashing all the time when playing browser based games that use flash.
I was over on Yahoo's website http://games.yahoo.com/free-games/ and found that it kept crashing on this page or crashing when trying to load any of the games listed on that page.
Given these problems (and judging by the numerous posts on this forum... it looks like there are many issues with version 11), how can I uninstall Adobe Flash 11 and restore it back to version 10, x, x, x ??
(Note: I am using x's just because I don't remember exactly what the previous version of Flash was)

  • Unable to install Full version of Tiger 10.4 or even any part of it!

    eMac 1.25G 256Mb 80G Combo
Ok. Now that I have a full version of Tiger. I am unable to install it. Have done first aid several times to the drive. Done the one pass of Zero's as well as verified the drive. I have tried the installation approx 7x. It would hang up at different points. 2x i got the Black screen with the 6 different Languages to restart the system. Using Apple Mouse and Keyboard. Oh, and pulling out my hair does not help at all with it working either, i know it now, I did it!!
    Thanks for your help..
    Bruce

Another possibility: could the 256 MB RAM chip be bad? Faults in just a few memory locations could cause problems during install. Usually, if RAM were suspect, I'd suggest using Memtest in single-user mode, but that's not workable in this case, where there's no OS on the hard drive. Since the odds of happening to have a known-good DDR PC2700 memory chip lying about aren't high, you can at least try pulling the RAM that's in the eMac now, cleaning the connectors, and re-seating the ship, in either the current slot or the other one. There's a small but non-zero chance that the RAM is slightly loose in the slot, and reseating ould help. RAM installation instructions are at eMac - Do-It-Yourself.

  • Unable to install newest version of flash

So I am running Windows seven, and for awhile now I have been unable to install the newest version of Flash, at first I got an error message, now that has gone away but I click the install file install_flashplayer13x32_mssd_aaa_aih and nothing happens, at all.
I try and click it again and it says it's already running. So for months now I haven't been able to update my flash, which for now hasn't been a problem online luckily, but on Steam I can barely use the steam client anymore and because of it several games have stopped working etc... so I really need help

    Use these installers instead:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

  • Unable to download previous version of Flash Player?

I am unable to view flash videos on some websites and able to on others.  I have found many possible solutions on here and other websites but have not yet been able to fix the problem.  I have decided to try and revert back to the previous version of flash player and see if that would work.  I have followed and completed Chris Campbells post for cleanly uninstalling flash player:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4487439#4487439
My problem however is that when I try and download a previous version from the archive page it never downloads.  It just keeps saying 'Loading...' forever.  How do I download the previous version?

Can you try downloading the latest 10.3 release from these links?
Flash Player 10.3 for Internet Explorer
Flash Player 10.3 for other browsers

  • Unable to install latest version of iTunes

I have been trying for months on end to install the latest version of iTunes. When I run the install package, it runs the entire install just fine, but then it disappears and also deletes a previous version of iTunes that I have which is version 4.6 (the only version that I am able to use). I know how to install software and downloads, but this is the only software where I am not able to download the latest version. I have Windows XP with the service pack 2 installed. Could it be that I need to disable all of the "pop-up blockers" in order to install the latest version of iTunes. I have never been so frustrated in my entire life for something that should be so simple.
If anyone knows a workaround, it would be greatly appreciated!

i just responded about this. if your situation is like mine, good luck getting apple support to help you because it is beyond them.
BUT, try them first. from what i understand this problem is relating to prior installs and permissioning with regard to quicktime. i could be wrong. there are also other possibilities. i called 5 different times and got different answres each time. finally i had to fix it myself and spending hours on the phone and visiting many sites and doing this and that with the windows installer / installshield.
finally, i modified my registry and i could install. but you should not do this unless you know exactly what you are doing since it can cause your computer to stop working - seriously, don't even think about it. call support. maybe after so many people complain about this they will fix their quicktime install (which i'm told is the problem) or put a web page telling people how to remedy the problem. good luck.

  • Install previous versions of Media Encoder?

I recently updated to Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014, and not wanting to keep older apps on my PC, uninstalled Adobe Media Encoder CC (the previous version). As luck would have it, I need the previous version, as Adobe has ceased supporting the FLV video format in Media Encoder CC 2014, per this posting: http://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2014/06/removal-flv-f4v-swf-export-adobe-media-encoder -after-effects-premiere-pro.html
I have visited this page, http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=160&platform=Windows, but after downloading and trying a few options I have found that these are just patches/updates, and I receive an "Update Failed Updates could not be applied" message.
So, I'd like to install (while keeping the current version) the previous version on Media Encoder. Is this possible? I so, what web page do I find that on?

Only once have I ever installed After Effects or Premier, and I already had Media Encoder before doing so. For example, with the old Creative Suite DVDs, I was able to select the individual install of Media Encoder without either of those programs.
But now, I would at least like to have the last version of Media Encoder to support the FLV format, which was Media Encoder CC (not CC 2014). So I'm still needing to find where I begin the download or install process of:
    - Adobe Media Encoder CC
    - Or, as you say, Adobe After Effects CC
How do I find those on the adobe.com website? Whenever I find files related to previous versions, they are only updates, but not the actual program installs.

  • Unable to Install upgrade version of Adobe Presenter 9.

When I tried to install the upgrade, it stopped and said that I needed to restart.
I did that ...and then when I tried reinstalling it asks me to remove the trial version of Adobe Presenter 9 !!! I never installed any trial version.
So I had a chat and downloaded the Adobe cleaner tool.
Went through the steps. There is no presence of any Adobe Presenter 9 installation. Of course Adobe Presenter 8 is installed ...and is required to be upgraded.
I hope someone out here can give me some solution, else I call Adobe on Tuesday after returning from Mumbai

    Hello,
Two versions of Adobe Presenter cannot co-exist.
Please uninstall the previous version of Adobe Presenter 8.
Then install Adobe Presenter 9, it should work.

Am trying to install a new version of Ubuntu on desktop. Have read that I should install Java first. Am unable to install Java Runtime Environment version 6 update 27. Do I need Java Script in order to install? Currently seem to have no version of Java on computer.

    Hi PJA01,
I'm sorry that you experienced technical issues.
In order to better understand the cause of the problem, could you please provide me with following information?
    1. Can you tell me a little about your network connection?  For example, are you connected from home using your internet service provider, at work using work network, or at home connected through VPN?
    2. Does your connection go through proxy server?
    3. Are you using some kind of firewall?  Is it personal or corporate firewall?
