I have a new pc laptop. I installed disc.1 of elements 10 - no problems. Then it said put in dics 2- I pressed OK before I took out disc 1 then my dvd disc slot wouldn't open until I went out of the adobe program. When I put my disc 2 in it only allows me to install a trial version. I tried to uninstall elements 10 but there isn't any uninstall option. Can you help me get it all installed corectly please?????

Don’t worry; you’re installation is complete. You only need disk 1.
Disk 2 is for the trial of the video program Premiere Elements.

  • ITunes unable to install/uninstall/Windows installer utility-- DESPERATE!!*

I have had this issue for MONTHS now and I have (no overexaggerating) looked up on this entire discussion board, looked at microsofts discussion board, called apple, and taken my computer to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and no one could help me.
I try to download iTunes versions 10 and higher and everytime it has the error message about Windows does not have the program needed to install, please contact your vendor. And I know I need the Windowns installer, but I cannot find it anywhere on the internet without getting a 404 error from where it's been removed. I really need a straight, direct answer. I have been having this issue since OCTOBER. I really want to have iTunes again and put music on my iTouch and iPhone.
I have Windows Vista, 64 bit.
Please, I've tried everything, and talked to everyone.

What's the precise text of the message please, alexis? There's a couple of different ones that I can think of on a 64-bit system that you might be getting.

  • Unable to install Lion. Installer says disk is used for Time Machine backups. But it's my Mac's HD.

On attempt to install Lion from CD, the installer says: "Mac OSX cannot be installed on "Macintosh HD". This disk is used for Time Machine backups."
I have an external drive that I've been using for Time Machine backups, but it stopped functioning recently and I have not replaced it.
    Is there a workaround?
    Thx in advance. Bryant

  • Unable to install purchased actions in elements 9

When trying to install purchased actions using (MAcOS and elements 9) I use to not have a problem I would follow the folders and install them into my action player.  Now when following the folders to paste them into I get to the 4th folder and I can not find it
    How I use to install
    library-application support-adobe-photoshop elements-9-locale-en_US-workflow panels-actions.
now when I get to photoshop elements that folder is not here anymore and all the other folders then do not take me to the next step which would be 9 or any others for that matter.

Are you sure your actions are for the actions player and not the effects panel? The Photo Effects folder is where such actions must be placed.
    System>Library>Application Support>Adobe>Photoshop Elements>9.0>Locale> en-US or your own locale>Photo Creations>Photo Effects
    Installing Actions
After extracting the contents of the zip file download, you drag the ATN file and the PNG file into the Photo effects folder. They must be the actual files, not sub folders. If your thumbnail is a PSD file or something different you must open it in the editor and convert it to PNG before starting.
If your newly installed action does not show up in the Effects pallet, you may need to re-start your computer.Don’t forget to click on the fx symbol as many actions are stored under layer styles.
    N.B.
    System>Library>Application Support>Adobe>Photoshop Elements>9.0>Locale>
Before restarting you will need to navigate to the above location and rename the Mediadatabase.db3 file to MediadatabaseOLD.db3.
Then close Elements. Next time you start the program it will re-build the database and hopefully your newly installed action will show up.

Even the Software updates wont install.

This is one occasion when repairing Permissions might help. From Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities.
EDIT: Should first ask you to describe what you mean by "freezes." What have you tried installing?

  • Unable to install my newly purchased version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10.

Unable to install my newly purchased version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10.  After inputing the serial number, I get partway through the install process and then I see that everything is being backed out.  Id it possible that I have a defective CD?   Please advise a telephone for Adobe Technical support.

I found a doc Install rollback | Photoshop Elements | Windows that provides information on installation rollback. I'd suggest that you use the doc before calling up customer support. If your problem is still not addressed,  share the installation log file (information available in the suggested document) when you contact customer support (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/).

  • Itunes 64 bit on windows 7 is unable to install, i have the 64 bit installer version but it keeps saying "errors occurred" at the ( rolling back ) phase. HELP!

itunes 64 bit on windows 7 is unable to install, i have the 64 bit installer version but it keeps saying "errors occurred" at the ( rolling back ) phase. HELP!!!

I have the answer and this might be useful for any one else wondering about this in the future. If it helped you or explained what you wanted to know. Replay to the post pls
It's quite easy actually. First have your "iTunes Library Extras", "iTunes Library Genius", "iTunes Library", and "iTunes Music Library" backed up. Download ans install iTunes 64-bit. I don't know what's so 64-bit about iTunes 64 since Win7 reports it as a 32-bit application in the task manager. But anyway. Install iTunes 64 and launch it. If you migrated your library to another drive like me go to settings in iTunes and change the directory to your location. Close iTunes. Replace the newly created files with your backed up files. Launch iTunes. iTunes will load and then update your library and from there you are set to go! so basically it is just like a normal upgrade. But if you hesitated to go from 32 to 64 like me, here is your answer.
By the way. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit with iTunes 64-bit and it works without problems and syncing with my iPod Touch also works flawlessly.
