Unable to install the downloaded camera raw for PSE10 on Mac

At first, I wasn't able to open .nef files from my Nikon D800E. I then realized that I needed to update my camera raw installers. The available versions were 6.5, 6.6, and 6.7 from the adobe website. I also downloaded the Adobe App Manager as it was required to install the updates. The downloading process for all 3 versions worked fine. However, when I tried to install using the adobepatchinstaller, it didn't work. And I tried on all version individually. They all gave me the same message: not the right patch.
What else can I do as it is frustrating not being able to open those raw files...

On my PSE10 Help tab, there's no "updates" option on the drop down. I have to go to PSE10 help website to download it. I downloaded the ACR6.7 for Mac, but failed to install it, giving me a message "patch is not applicable." I bought my PSE10 from the Appstore, btw.
What other things I should try?
Sincerely,
Shirley Sagita Antono

You simply run the updater. if there is a newer version, it will be installed. Other than that 4.2 is the latest release version, 4.3 is currently in the final testing stages and can be downloaded from the Adobe Labs pages.

You need to download and install ACR 6.7, which will work with CS5 and with your D800. ACR 7.1 only works with Photoshop CS6.

  • Downloading Camera Raw 8.6 on Mac?

I have tried to download Camera Raw 8.6 several times onto my Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10 operating system, and can't find it anywhere.  Any suggestions?

Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. All of the Camera Raw technology is part of the Lightroom program. It will be necessary for you to wait for the next Lightroom update to have support for the NEF files from your camera. There is a DNG converter 8.7 RC (release candidate) that will support converting your NEF files to DNG format. Those files can be opened in Lightroom 5.6. When the next Lightroom update is released you can discontinue using the DNG converter if you so choose.

  • Unable to install Elements Update Camera Raw 6.6

Due to error code: U44M2P7, I am unable to install Camera Raw 6.6 update for Elements 10.

Please try applying the update directly from the Camera RAW section of our Product update page at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/.  If you continue to have difficulties then please review the install logs for the update to locate the cause of your difficulties.  You can find details on how to accomplish this at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • Downloading camera raw for elements 10

Downloading camera... I cannot use any raw files on my elements 10. I download the update (the correct one) for my elements and every time I try to open it it comes up as an error. I would like to process in raw with my elements 10 but for some reason I cant

The camera I'm using is Canon 360D
    You mean the 350D?
Canon EOS 350D - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If so, Elements 10 should open those Raw files without requiring any updates.

  • Downloading camera raw for elements on new computer

Is anyone having trouble with your computer hanging up when attempting to download the update for camera raw?  It seems the "picture" in the background causes everything to freeze.  This is happening on all five fairly new computers in our house...three with Vista, one with XP and one with Windows 7.  I can't believe no one else has had this problem.

It is the downloads page.  In the background, there is a large, grayish
graphic.  When I try to click on anything, it hangs up and I can't do
anything.  In the task bar at the bottom of the screen, it either says
    "downloading picture
    http://www.adobe.com/lib/com.adobe/template/theme/body_dropshadow.png" or
the same thing, but instead of "body" it says "footer_dropshadow.png".  This
only happens on the pages that have that background.  Otherwise, I can
navigate around the site.  If it only happened on one computer, I would
think it was that, but it's all five computers.
    Thank you.

  • How can I install the latest Camera Raw?  I've just bought a Nikon D610 and am shooting in RAW but my CS5.1 won't open the files.  I'm running CR version 6.7.0.339 but I can't install more up to date one as only running Windows Vista.  Please help!

I also tried to install the latest DNG converter and that looks to have worked but not quite sure what's happened as I still can't open the files.  Thanks in advance for any help.

You can purchase an upgrade, but the only options available as a qualifying previous product are CS5 and CS5 Extended and Acrobat X Suite.  It isn't entirely clear if CS5 also includes CS5.1 or not, so I'd suggest using the Chat Now button over at the side to clarify.
To get to this listing, you can go to www.adobe.com then click Search and type in Photoshop CS6 then click the Buy button next to Photoshop CS6 in the results Creative Suite 6 then edit your cart to make it an upgrade:
You can also choose the Extended version of PS CS6 which is more money and can additionally do things with video and sequences of images and maybe 3D, although I'm not exactly sure at this point since I already have PS-CS6 Extended as part of my CC Photography Plan PS-CC+LR for $10/month.

  • Unable to install the latest flash player for Firefox on a 64 bit Windows Vista OS

Each time I attempt to install the following error pops up:
Note:Flash Player does not support 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista.
Before today I've never had issues with installing flash updates. Can anyone help?
    Thanks

Vista x64 is unsupported and untested, however the installer shouldn't block you as far as I know.  Can you tell me what the file name is that you are trying to install?
Unless you're using a 64 bit browser, you should be able to install the 32 bit version of Flash Player which you can find here.

  • I just created a new AppleID account for school and it won't allow me to review my account for iTunes. Which has led me to be unable to install the apps I need for school

I have an iPad Air given to me by my high school. I just created an AppleID account for school usage, but every time I try to install apps a little pop-up comes up. The pop-up tells me to log into my AppleID account and then takes me to iTunes. Since my AppleID account is brand new, my account has not been logged into iTunes before. Another pop-up shows up telling me to "review" my account (asking me to agree to the iTunes/App Store agreement, entering my address, credit card info, billing information). I enter everything but the credit card information because since this is my school iPad I will not be purchasing anything so I clicked none for payment. No matter how many times I complete this form, I can not get pass it and a red sentece comes up telling me to contact iTunes support for assistance.

Have you done as the message tells you and contacted iTunes Support ? If not (these are user-to-user forums) :
    - go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
    - click on your country's flag
    - click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
    - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
    - then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Updating Camera Raw for Elements 8 on Mac

    Hello everyone,
I'm having a serious issue when I tried to update the Camera Raw plugin for Elements 8 on Mac. I downloaded the proper update (ElementsCameraRaw-6.3-mul-AdobeUpdate.dmg, the one specified for Elements 8). Inside I found an application (AdobePatchInstaller) but when I run it, it says it needs Adobe Application Manager. I downloaded Adobe Application Manager 1.5 for Mac and installed it, but when I tried again to install the Camera Raw update it said the update is not applicable. I think maybe the Application Manager version isn't good (it says CS5, but I didn't find one for Elements).
    Could anyone help ... ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Rave,
Below is the list of steps from the Adobe KB article for installing the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in 6.2 on PSE 8:
Link to the KB article: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/863/cpsid_86312.html#main_Install Camera Raw 6.1 for Photoshop Elements 8 on Mac OS
Install Camera Raw 6.2 plug-in for Photoshop Elements 8 on Mac OS
Close Photoshop Elements 8 and Bridge CS5.
Download Camera Raw_6_2.dmg from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4809. Opening the downloaded file mounts the disc image containing the following two files:  Camera Raw.plug-in and cameraprofiles.mpkg.
Put the new version of the Camera Raw.8bi file that was downloaded into the same location as the original version.
Navigate to the root of the local disk (not your home folder).
Navigate to the following location: Applications/PSE8/Plug-Ins/File Formats.
Move the original plug-in from the location listed in step 5 to a backup location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure that you keep this version in case you want to revert.
Copy the downloaded copy of the Camera Raw plug-in into the installation location listed under step 6.
Launch Photoshop Elements 8 or Adobe Bridge CS5.
To install Camera Profiles, double-click CameraProfiles.mpkg and then follow the on-screen instructions
