Unable to install the latest flash player for Firefox on a 64 bit Windows Vista OS

Each time I attempt to install the following error pops up:
Note:Flash Player does not support 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista.
Before today I've never had issues with installing flash updates. Can anyone help?

Vista x64 is unsupported and untested, however the installer shouldn't block you as far as I know. Can you tell me what the file name is that you are trying to install?
Unless you're using a 64 bit browser, you should be able to install the 32 bit version of Flash Player which you can find here.

I have a very rare issue with flash player.
First some information:
I'm using Windows Vista 64-bit, and the latest Mozilla Firefox.
When I want to wath a movie on Facebook, ik keep getting the message 'Upgrade needed for Flash player. To view this, you need to download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player'
I already did this like a thousand times..
I also first used the uninstaller, than installed it again, but I keep getting the message. I have the same problem with IE also.
Hope you can help me.

But when I look in IE, i can't see it in the list, it isn't there.
When I look in FF, The only one I see is called 'Shockwave Flash 10.0.2.54'

Thanks. Using IE go to Tools>Manage add ons and find Shockwave Flash Object..ActiveX Control..Flash10e.ocx and make sure it is enabled.
Do the same thing using FF and look in plug-ins for SWF vs 10.0.45.2 and make sure it is enabled.
I would also check a few other sites as it could be this is isolated to Facebook.

There is no such animal and I have nothing opened to quit, except for the Flash Player installer.
I am running a intel core 2 duo Imac with OSX 10.9.2

I have since found out that the offending item is widgets running in the Dashboard application.
What you do is go into Activity Monitor - select Dasboard- then select force quit, close all other applications.
Restart the installation process which should now complete then restart computer and it should be done.
I have never had to do this ever with any update , but it does work , I think (hopefully).

In short;
been running Win 8 Pro 64-bit for a couple of days now. Decided it was time to try out some software so installed a trial of Fix It Utilities Professional (bad decision).
Installed it, played around for a bit and after a while I came up with the brilliant idea of running a registry clean/fix (insert facepalm) and some overall clean-up, just curious
to seel the results.
Being stupid and feeling lazy, cleaned everything and didn't create a backup. Everything seemed fine afterwards. Only the internal flash player for IE 10 dissapeared
from the Add-ons list, hence the plugin itself stopped working.I've tried everything I think I've tried all the help options I could find on the Adobe site, but nothing seems to work (un-install tool,
delete files and folders, IE's security settings back to default, checked ActiveX status and permissons, reset all data and settings for IE10 etc) Something must have been modified in the registry
but I'm just unable to locate the problem. I also installed the latest beta for Chrome and that's working like a charm, no problems at all and the performance is great.
So this is the error I receive:
I'm kinda stuck now; the installer won't let me installl it because IE has a built in plugin, but it's not working in IE. It's not even visible in the add-on menu.
I know it was a pretty stupid thing to do, but I still hope someone here knows what to do. I;m kinda running out of ideas/options (not going to edit the registry myself, because you can

the last thing I can think of is that OpenOffice and Windows Live Messenger also use flash, if i'm correct. E.g. in the OpenOffice folder there is a flash.dll file. Could these files be of real
influence?

I do not have Windows 8 / IE10, so I don't know anything about it.
You may have to wait until US daytime; maybe someone from the Adobe staff knows the answer. But you may be better off asking in a IE10 forum.

Installed the latest flash player version for safari on mac but not working

I have installed the latest version of flash player as prompted by facebook. when i go to use it, facebook keeps telling me to install the new update. Please help. I am running Safari version 6.0.5. I have run the install a couple of times, it says installation is complete. But Facebook keeps prompting me to upgrade. I have installed, shutdown the computer and restarted but yet I still get this message.

How do I get rid of the popup that says Your browser must have Flash 9.0 or higher installed to add this application. You can download and install the latest Flash Player here

I have Flash 9.0 installed properly, but I still get the popup every time I open an email.

Don't know, but every time I try to download the 'correct'
version of the Flash Player (9) as instructed by the BBC website to
watch its videos, it tells me that it is already installed and do I
want to replace it.... I click yes and it downloads OK. BUT still
won't work and it still says I don't have the correct version of

Any video I try to watch only shows a black screen.It's been like this for a week now. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall but still no luck. I pretty much have tried everything in the forums here still no luck.
I did find out I downloaded babylon toolbar which was adware, it also added the adware ezula. Anyway I got rid of all the bad ad-ons and still cant get the flash player.
First i couldnt dowload at all but I got around that. Then it downloaded but wouldnt confirm the download but I got around that. Now it said I had no administrator permission and I followed the proper way to do that which was running it as administrator.
I've followed every troubleshooting and here I am still unable to see videos or pictures. I'm no computer genuis but I've done everything I could do. Can somebody please help me before I lose my mind!

Since upgrading to Mavericks I cannot install the latest Flash Player

I upgraded to Mavericks and now cannot view video content. My screen says I do not have Flash installed. I have uninstalled the previous versions and installed Flash several times. Still no go. I have followed all of the Macromedia instructions for trouble shooting etc...Any suggestions?
