Please do the following. 
#Use Internet Explorer to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0.1] 
#When you see the prompt, choose "'''Save'''" and save it to your desktop. 
#Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (''don't checkmark the box''). 
#Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 
#Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier. 
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation. 
After you complete the installation, go to the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] page and update those where necessary.

My iPhoto keeps crashing after installing the latest update, can't do anything! It used to crash when importing but now I'm at the point where I open the software and after 2 seconds it crashes (nothing connected either). What to do? Can't access any photos

Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If you can create a new library and import some test photos then the problem lies with your original library.
If that's the case make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
If iPhoto crashes while trying to create a new library then try this:
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
If that fails to help a reinstall of iPhoto is indicated. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder,

Then install iPhoto from the disk it came on originally and apply all relavant updaters.
P.S. If you're still running Tiger, 10.4.6, then the above may not apply. If you're running a newer system you should update your profile so we have a better idea of where you're at.

I am unable to install the latest update to iTunes, I get constant error messages, even when I attempt to uninstall iTunes completely and start afresh, iTunes is still listed in my program files on my hard drive and the shortcut is still on my desktop!?

It sounds like you are unable to open iTunes after installing a recent update. I would recommend the troubleshooting in the following article:

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

I run an Imac Intel Core 2 duel with Mac OS 10.7.3. I run a software package provided by HMRC and called a Basic PAYE Tools. I am trying to install the latest 2012 update for the new tax year. I have downloaded this with no problems and I click on the icon to open this. I am asked for my computer password which I enter. Then press enter and the update closes down. I have tried this several times and the same thing happens. I have the appropiate Adobe packages for this to work.
Help please as Apple helpdesk and HMRC helpdesk cannot find out why. I have even obtained a CD with the updates from HMRC and the same thing happens.

At first I tried to Quit Virusbarrier x6 but it kept on running. Then I disabled the Real-time Scanner and it all worked fine after that.

Unable to install the latest update security 2007-2009

I have try several times to install the latest security update 2007-2009 but during installation a window pop out and read the installer could not validate the contents of the "secupd2007-009" package. Contact the software manufacturers for assistance.
What is the exact problem that this?

First quit all App's and stop all other network activities!
Now open Disk Utility and run repair disk permissions!
Then try again to download the update from your software updater or from the link below!

Let it download then restart when asked, and wait for it to finish without interruption.
darumaki; Did you have any issues befor the update? Did you repair disk permissions befor downloading the update? Did you stop all other activity's befor updating? Note: the restart will take longer than normal, perhaps you interrupted the update process???

Can't print with my Epson stylus RX 640 since the latest apple software update for epson. Since then I completely reinstalled the printer following epson's advice. It worked. But today, I am trying to print some photos and nothing happens. Epson suggest resetting and then doing some repair permissions. Done that and still no joy. Can anyone help please.

contact Epson again and ask them about using a generic Gutenprint driver; I read in one of the threads here - but can't find it right now - about a problem with your model printer. Since Epson has not updated its driver to work with SL on this older model, it appears using a generic driver does work. You might also try searching for those threads by typing your model number into the search box.

Try a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously you see the Apple logo and then release.

As seen above. I installed the latest update of itunes, as an admin on my windows 7 and now nothing is working. I already deinstalled itunes. But nothing is working. Could please someone help. It's the 11.1 or 11.2 update I think

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

After installing the latest update for Mavericks and restarting, my Mac just displays the Apple logo and the spinning wheel. What can I do to fix this?

I installed the latest update of Mavericks from the App Store today and after restarting my system it doesn't go beyond the Apple logo and the spinning wheel. I tried resetting the NVRAM but it still has the same problem.
