Unable to install Windows Management Framework 4 manually in Windows 7 SP1

Hi There,
I am trying to install Windows Management Framework 4.0 in Windows 7 SP1 (x64). I have already installed .Net Framework 4.5. When I double click on the installer file "Windows6.1-KB2819745-x64-MultiPkg.msu", it does not install & throws the
below error message.
"Some updates were not installed. The following updates were not installed: Update for Windows (KB2819745)".
Can some one help me with this issue?
Thanks

Hello,
is you system clock set to right time
If so can you check what happens if you remove the check box from your Internet Security settings during the installation
Don't forget to put it back on after you install.
If the installation still fails right click the package and select "properties" check "digital signatures" and there details, view certificate. Does it say "This certificate is OK." If you get error there It also might bee that
you need to update your Root certificates: check out this links:

    Hi AliahMurfy,
To install WMF 5.0 Preview on server 2012 R2, please make sure the version of .Net Framework on server 2012 r2 is 4.5.
And manually install the package and check if it can work.

  • How to Install Windows Management Framework 4.0 on Server 2008R2 Core

I am trying to upgrade Server 2008R2 Core to PowerShell 4. I have carried out following steps.
    1. Installed .NET Framework 4.5.1 (NDP451-KB2858728-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU)
    2. Enabled WoW64-ServerCore, WoW64-NetFx2-Support, WoW64-NetFx2, WoW64-PowerShell
    3. Installed Windows Management Framework 4.0  (Windows6.1-KB2819745-x64.msu)
WMF installation shows that it was successful ("Windows update "Update for Windows (KB2819745)" was successfully installed.")
However when I restart the server following shows up on the event log ("Package KB2819745 failed to be changed to the Installed state. Status: 0xd00000bb.")
This same process work on Server 2008R2 full version.
    Has anyone seen this before?

    Hi Aka Nugawela,
The .NET Framework 4.5 and its point release is supported in the Server Core Role with 2008R2 SP1 or later, could you try to install SP1 then try again.

  • WINDOWS MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK 4.0 - A required certificate is not within its validity period

    Hello,
I can't figure out if this is because the Root Certificates were updated in April 2014 then apparently expired by Microsoft or if the PowerShell installer signed this file with a bad software release signature??
We were deploying PowerShell 4.0 (Windows6.1-KB2819745-x64-MultiPkg.msu) with ConfigMgr 2012 with a dependency of .NET Framework 4.5.1.  Everything was working fine until sometime around April 24 (exact date unknown).  Now any
Win 7 SP1 machines I try to update will not install WMF 4.0.  They installed .NET 4.5.1 without any trouble..
The digital signature on it it states it was signed Sept 27 2013 and the certificate expires 4/24/2014.
Even if we change the system clock to April 1 2014 it still will not install.. but this shouldn't matter anyway.  They just can't sign new software with that certificate.. surely I can install it..
    As for a log... If I run as C:\Windows\ccmcache\3>wusa.exe Windows6.1-KB2819745-x64-MultiPkg.msu /log:c:\windows\ccmcache\3\broken.txt
    In the broken.txt I see:
Install Worker.01194: Operation Result Code of the installation: 0X4        HRESULT of the installation: 0X80240022                Operation
Result Code of the update:0X4 HRESULT of the update: 0X800b0101
Install Worker.01243: Failed install update Update for Windows (KB2819745)
Install Worker.01287: Exit with error code 0X800b0101 (A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file.)
WINDOWS MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK 4.0 FOR MICROSOFT OPERATING SYSTEM PRODUCTS
    Windows6.1-KB2819745-x64-MultiPkg.msu
I also see this same event information in Setup event log..
I don’t know what to do here.  Anyone else having this problem?

  • Unable to install Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 8 Release Preview on RTM 8 Enterprise

Unable to install Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 8 Release Preview on RTM 8 Enterprise
    Standalone installer available here
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28972
    fails with error code 0x80004005
Is this because my installation has issues, or would the admin pack files be updated for RTM?
Thank you in advance for any insight

    Found the solution here:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w8itprogeneral/thread/6d8745e0-c4c1-463a-b4bb-09f6c9c22527
    Workaround:
Download the RSAT package intended for Windows 8 Release Preview: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28972
Extract the .msu file with a tool such as 7-Zip.
Open an Admin command prompt and change directory to where you extracted the .msu.
Run the following command to install (if x86 you probably have a different .xml filename): pkgmgr /n:Windows6.2-KB2693643-x64.xml
Wait a while. You can look in task manager for pkgmgr. When it disappears, the installation is done.
Use the tools as per usual.

  • Deploy Windows Management Framework 4.0 with SCCM

    Hey guys,
I need to deploy the Windows Management Framework 4.0 using the Application Model in SCCM 2012 R2. I've got all the silent install/uninstall commands figured out, the only place I'm hung up on is the detection method. Anyone know how I could address that?
(i.e. PowerShell, not the .NET Framework)

Here's an article with an almost correct answer: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/powershell/archive/2009/06/25/detection-logic-poweshell-installation.aspx
For v3 and 4, the registry key is slightly different: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PowerShell\3 instead of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PowerShell\1

  • Can I install Solution Manager 7.0 in Window Server 2008 R2 Enterprise ed.?

    Hi, SDN experts.
I am trying to install Solution Manager 7.0 in in Window Server 2008 R2?
I checked the the software requirement for SAP Solution Manager 7.0, it only mentioned Window Server 2003 and 2008  enterprise edition.
I am trying to install Solution Manager 7.0 in in Window Server 2008 R2 enterprise edition?
When I ran the Solution Manager Master Installer, the Pre-requisite Checker gave a warning message saying that it detected incompatible server version, that the server version is Windows NT 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1) (I guess it meant Window Server 2008 R2).
    =======
The following Windows operating system version is supported: Windows Server 2003 (i.e. Version 5.2) and Windows Server 2008 (i.e. Version 6.0).
Current Windows version: Version 6.1, Service Pack 1.0, productive type: Server.
You can check the current version of you operating system by runningu2026u2026..
    ========
Can I actually install Solution Manager 7.0 in Window Server 2008 R2? Will this cause problem during the installation/post-installation if I ignore this message?
    Thanks,
    KC

    Hi,
I think it is not straight forward to install SAP Solution Manager 7.0 in MS Window Server 2008 R2.
I am installing Solution Manager 7.0 , the installation encountered error on Create Java Users step (Phase 31 of 44). When I login to SAP solution Manager system through SAP GUI. I encountered this error:
"OS release Windows NT 6.1 7601 Service Pack 1 4x AMD64 Level 6 (Mod 44 Step 2) is not supported with this kernel (700)'
I found that it is because I am installing SAP Solution Manger 7.0 in MS Window Server 2008 R2, which the existing kernel version does not support.
Do you know which kernel I should install?
    I browsed in:
SAP Application Components" SAP SOLUTION MANAGER" SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0" Entry by Component" Solution Manager ABAP Stack
    SAP KERNEL 7.00 64-BIT UNICODE --> Windows Server on x64 64bit -->MS SQL SERVER
    I downloaded:
SAPEXEDB_291-20001361.SAR      Kernel Part II (for Basis 7.00)       291
Is this the right Kernel patch I should use?
If it is the right kernel patch file, how do I apply the latest kernel to existing Solution Manager system? Can you give me some guidance on this?
    Thanks,
    KC

  • Unable to install itunes for new computer with windows 8

states this app unable to run on this PC

    Hello jgrn76,
It sounds like you are getting an error stating that the iTunes installer cannot be run on your computer. I would try downloading the 64 bit version of iTunes from here:
    iTunes 11.1.3 for Windows (64-bit)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1615
If issues persist when trying to install it, I would try running through the steps in the article named:

Otherwise, would you mind elaborating a bit on what the error message says, word for word?

  • Collection query for computers with windows management framework 3.0

    Hi,
collection query for computers with windows management framework 3.0, but I cant found a way. I cant see that it is in the inventory data for SMS_G_System_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS_64.DisplayName.
So any way to get computers with windows management framework 3.0?
    /SaiTech

    select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_SoftwareProduct on SMS_G_System_SoftwareProduct.ResourceId
    = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_SoftwareProduct.ProductName like "Windows Management Framework 3.0%"
That won't work because as mentioned, it doesn't appear in ARP.
Torsten's suggestion will work or you can resort to software/hardware inventory using the info at

  • Unable to install iis manager on windows 8 home edition

    Hi
I get an error while trying to install IIS manager from "Turn on off windows features" on a windows 8 machine. Just before trying to install this I install Visual Studio community online and rebooted my machine. Visual Studio works fine.
I also made sure all updates are installed on my machine and also rebooted and tried installing IIS manager.
The error that I get is "The function attempted to use a name that is reserved for use by another transaction"
Update: Not just IIS. Anything I try to install from turn on off windows feature I get the same issue.
    Thanks
    Ranjith

    Hi Ranjith,
Considering this issue occurs with all the features ,pleas run “dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth” to have a health scan.
As an alternative choice ,we can try to enable feature with the dism command to have a check  :
Here is a link for reference :
    Adding features with DISM
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/joscon/archive/2010/08/26/adding-features-with-dism.aspx
I have made a deep research ,“The function attempted to use a name that is reserved for use by another transaction” is seems to be caused by the third party conflict .Please perform a clean boot to have a check .If that is the issue ,we can have a troubleshoot
with dichotomy to find out the culprit.
