Unable to launch after upgrading JNLP

Question

Hello,
here's the problem. My application is hosted at an HTTP server and the users use JNLP/JWS to launch it. They have shortcuts for the app installed on the desktop.
Sometimes we update the client jar and JNLP (so that it points to the new jar name) in order to push some changes. After that, on some systems the shortcut doesn't work anymore - they need to reinstall the shortcut, and it works after that.
One of the error messages is: "The following required field is missing from the launch file: <jnlp>".
Has anyone ever seen a problem of this kind? Any ideas on possible reasons/solutions?
