Unable to launch cs6
adobe application manager was not allowing me to launch photoshop cs6, i am using windows and recently purchased CS6 as a single application from creative cloud, I have been unable to use this product and as a web designer this is costing me both time and money! I just want to be able download and use this!
What exact system? Are there any errors? Have you tried to run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and reinstall?

Here are some workaround/fix I tried to do:
Uninstal and re-install.
Uninstall, clear avery adobe product, remove paths and traces, relaunch, and then re-install.
Same as step 2, with firewall turned off, Anti-virus removed.
Run installation with Administrator rights.
Launch program via Compatibility settines Vista, Vista SP1, Vista SP2, Windows 7
All drivers are updated and reupdated.
Re-installed all GPU drivers.
Refreshed my Wndows 8 OS.
Reformated my Windows 8 OS then Installed AE cs6.
Installed AE on my F drive instead of C [C drive is an SSD and F Drive is an HDD]
I am able to see the AE CS6 splash screen but it will prompt a message "Has Stopped Working".
Other things to take note:
I am able to launch Renderer Machine without any issues.
I am also able to launch other Adobe Products that came along with AE CS6 try version.
Latest Quicktime version is installed.Hi Todd,
Thanks you for replying.
After updating to 11.0.2, I am still unable to launch AE CS6.

Unable to Launch Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 using High-Performance on AMD Radeon Graphic Card
I have been unable to launch Adobe Premiere Pro since installing it with the error message "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again"
Here are my specs:
Lenovo Ideapad U400
Windows 7 (64bit)
Intel i5 2.5 ghz processor
AMD Radeon 6470M graphics card
The only occasion during which I have successfully launched Premiere Pro was after reverting to the default graphics card on my computer and uninstalling AMD Radeon, otherwise, I have tried to change Premiere Pro to run on High-Performance on Catalyst Control Center to no avail, I do not wish to revert to the Standard Graphics Card as it slows down my computers performance one hell of a lot, neither do I wish to have to constantly uninstall and reinstall my AMD Radeon Graphics Card when I use Premiere Pro. Thank you for your time.Update:
- with Intel (R) HD Graphics Card disabled, Catalyst Control Center reports that no AMD Graphic card is installed
- using Device Manager under Control Panel, AMD Radeon 6470M was verified to be up-to-date
- Premiere Pro works so long as I disable the Intel card before launch, however, I re-enable it upon startup to get rid of the 800x600 resolution
- AMD Mobility Radeon Driver Verification Tool is unable to verify and update my driver, refers me to lenovo to update it.
- My graphics card is up-to-date as verified by lenovo
- Intel (R) HD Graphics Card now up-to-date
- Display currently mainly using Intel (R) HD Graphics Card (Possibly why it caps resolution at 1024x768 when disabled) I'm not sure how to switch the main Graphics Card used, Catalyst Control Center doesn't seem to have the option.
- when disabled, computer reverts to vgasave instead of Radeon
- Disabling Radeon does nothing to existing display
- After updating my Intel card, Catalyst Control Center reported CCC was not supported by the current display adapter
- CCC worked after rolling back Intel card
From what I infer, I believe the problem to root from my intel card being the main card used, if there is anyway to switch my radeon card to the default instead of the Intel card, do tell me, I believe this may solve the problem, I apologise for troubling you guys, and I'm starting to feel that I shouldn't be troubling Adobe with my problem with AMD, this discussion is probably really out of place but I hope it will help out others with a similar problem. -
I have re-installed my edition of PS CS6 on my iMac running Mac OSX Lion 10.7.5. The problem I had before has not resolved. I am unable to launch mini bridge from CS6. Error message is 'Waiting for Brige CS6....'
I went into Finder to delete 'switchboard' from preferences and re-started. The problem continues and 'switchboard' reappears in preferences.
Can anyone help?Do you have big bridge running before clicking on mini-bridge?

Unable to launch firefox above 3.0 after upgrade attempt
I had firefox 3.0. I tried upgrading when 3.2 came out and was unable to launch firefox after that. For each subsequent revision, I tried to upgrade but always had same problem. It does not give any error message. It just refuses to launch. So I just stopped trying to upgrade and kept using the 3.0. I use an EeePC mini notebook with XP home edition. It functions well with the other browser which I don't like to use. Any suggestion?
Hello Dieter,
We have used fully qualified domain name as the server name and all the services have been activated using SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INT.
The notes 808347 and 816973 have already been checked through. The browser prob i have implemented but to no help. Is there any parameter to be set in the profile parameter maintenance for SNC, I am not sure; its just a wild guess..we are not using portal as of now.
Thanks For Your Help,
Karthik -

Unable to launch application with webstart
Hi all, hope someone can help
I recently installed j2se 5.0 update 1 and uninstalled my earlier version of 1.4.2_06.
Since uninstalling the earlier version I am unable to run my application, I get the following error:
An error occurred while launching/running the application.

The application runs fine if I uninstall version 5.0 and revert to 1.4.2_06
but I would like it to be compatible with newer versions of java.
P.S. Im not a programer so if you could explain to me in simple terms what Im doing wrong it would be great.
Thanks in advance
DeanI'm a programming illiterate having the same problem with the latest java.

What am I supposed to do? Java Web Start is supposed to be dummy friendly :(
Edit: Problem solved! It seems the file wasn't completely removed and parts of it were corrupted under the java viewer-resources (old cache messing it up). Once removed the problems were gone, so anyone having this problem should check that out :D

I am just starting off with Java Web Start and trying some simple tests. Let me preface the problem statement by saying that everything is on the same machine (my Win XP Pro desktop). Also, I have confirmed that the environment is set up correctly by running the demo apps at http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/demos.html; these work flawlessly.
However, when I try to invoke my application it fails with a dialog that reads
Unable to launch Test JNLP ApplicationSelecting the "Details" button, displays the Download Error window. The gist of the contents of the General tab is
Unable to load resource: http://d10616:8080/aatview/test.jnlpEverything about the URL is correct. The Exception tab has a stack trace that begins with
JNLPException[category: Download Error : Exception: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 503 for URL: http://d10616:8080/aatview/test.jnlp : LaunchDesc: null ]Perusing this forum I read a recommendation to remove the proxy setting the JAWS Application Manager. So I did that; but then I get a failure with the General tab reading
Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to systemCan you help?Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to systemWell It means your application was downloaded, but if the jnlp file indicates an unrestricted access to the client, you need to sign your application.
Search for self-signed certificates in the forums to know how to generate a cert yourself and sign the jar file(s). -
Application Error: Unable to launch application
Hi guys,
My name is Jay Sun and I am new this this Forums. I am told by my professor to migrate from this Java application to Java Web Start.
I read all about it but I'm still struggling. I have an example program called Traffic Light. From the TrafficLight class,
I created a .jar file from .java file. The jar file runs perfectly fine and I created a .jnlp file using this.<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<j2se version="1.6+" />
<jar href="TraffcLight.jar"/>
</resources>
<application-desc main-class="Traffic Light" />

file:///Documents and Settings/... will work, but this means the path:
/Documents and Settings/... on the current path.
if you have to include the "c:" part first, then there needs to be only 2 leading slashes, because "/C:/Documents and Settings/..." is not a leagle pathname (even after replacing the file separators).
However the colon (":") char is not legal in a URL, so has to be escaped.
Best to just use: "file:///Documents and Settings/..."

Java - Unable to launch application
The problem: When I try to run ASDM on my Cisco 5550, I'm getting the dialog box "Unable to launch application". When I click on "Details", I see the error: "The application has requested a version of the JRE (1.5+) that is not installed".
The system I'm running this on is a Mac Pro with OS X Lion 10.7.5, and the latest Java version 7u13.
The initial lines of "show ver" on the firewall are:
# show ver
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 8.2(2)
Device Manager Version 6.3(3)
This is a relatively new problem; as recently as two weeks ago I was able to run ASDM with no problem. I suspect that the latest security-related Java updates have caused something to break.
Any ideas?Solved this one on my own: The solution was to install the latest ASDM, 7.1.1_52. (This had occurred to me, but I didn't know if was compatible with the older ASA 8.2(2). It looks like it is!)

Unable to Launch Application error while starting IR
Dear friends
I am not a BASIS trained person, but wearing different caps because I am the only SAP engineer in our company and so learning on the job.
I have installed a new server that has (SAP ECC 6.0, EP and PI). This is an IDES version. The operating system is Windows Server 2003 R2 (64 Bit).
The menu System -> Status says that Software Component SAP_BASIS is Release 700.
The ECC part is working ok, since I have been using many custom and standard tables, Bapis etc.,
However, when I give transaction code "SXMB_IFR" to start PI, it opens the browser with a message at the top saying "You need to install Javau2122 WebStart 1.4.2. "
However, I have installed j2sdk1.4.2_17-x64 and entered the environment variable path "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_17-x64".
When I try to click on 'Integration Repository', it tries to start 'Java Web Start window and after a while fails with a message 'Unable to launch the application'.
I searched SDN and other blogs and tried suggestions like,
selecting Control Panel -> Java and removing temporary internet files. But this didn't help.
I have installed another server on a 32 bit system and that one doesn't have any issues. The main difference with this one is that it is a 64 bit server and has (ECC, EP and PI) installed on the same server.
I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions.
Thanks
RamDear Ram
install JDK then
first set your environment variable like this... upto ur java bin folder.
JAVE_HOME C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin
then run your java webstart . goto preferences and there make proxy as none
now start IR again.. it will start.. if it fails again then take 1-2 more trial to start . It will open.
IN SAP XI/PI, java webstart is used to cache fat clients like IR and ID on local machines. So you need to make JWS proxy as NONE and then run IR or ID. with in 1-2 attemt it will cache all the required files.
then after wards it will run smoothly.
good luck

Unable to Launch Integration Builder: Java Web Start problem
Hi,
I am unable to launch the integration builder. I am using JDK 1.4.2_05. The java Web Start gives the following error:
Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to system
Unsigned resource: http://<XIHostName>:50000/rep/repository/aii_util_rb.jar
I have tried deleting the Java web start cache, and even reinstalling the JDK.
Can someone suggest a workaround this problem ?
thanks,
ManishThe Java Web Start cannot accept unsigned jars. If the jars are signed, it will ask in a dialog box if it should allow unrestricted access to this jar.
In my case, I upgraded XI SP0 to SP4, which included updating the Adapter Core, Adapter Framework, and the XI TOOLS to SP4.
On launching the Web start, it seemed that the jars were not getting signed. JWS cannot allow unsigned jars to the client.
These jars are maintained in:
\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\directory_server\javaws\directory
I am having problems with my XI upgrade to SP4, and it is probably not signing the jars.
Do you know why this may be happening ...
thanks,
Manish -
Application Error, Unable to launch the application Blackboard Collaborate
I recently updated to Java 7 so I could use this service. I called up Blackboard support when it would not load and they told me to clear Cache, try downloading new deployment file, disable Windows firewall and nothing worked. They then told me to delete all versions of Java I had installed and reinstall Java 6. Here are the execeptions in the error message. Below I posted the

at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)Hi, I've missed three weeks of classes because of the same error listed above. Everything was fine and Blackboard Collaborate Elluminate worked almost effortlessly for 5 or 6 weeks. Suddenly I tried to log in for a live lecture and this error occurred. Other students were having trouble and still are. Tech support at the school couldn't fix it, so they referred me to Blackboard Collaborate tech support (level 2). They haven't been able to fix it either. They recommended the same steps listed at the top of this email. I executed all of them but still receive the same error. Additionally, at one point, I was unable to install Java. Funny things seem to happen when I get on the line with tech support to solve this problem, although funny things don't happen during the other work I do on this computer. Technical language, I know. :-)
In an effort to pass the class, I am doing research on own to try to fix this and get into the lectures.
I am getting the same error listed above but am not a developer and don't understand how to get to JNLP to enter the fix listed above (if someone has a hint, I'd love to try that fix).
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Here are steps taken so far:
1. Clear Java Installed Apps and Applets (Control Panel - Java 32-bit - SEttings - Delete files - Installed apps and applets - ok - ok - ok)
2. Delete all files in Downloads folder (from all browsers)
3. Allow Java in Windows firewall (Start screen - hold down Windows key and W - Search for "firewall" - Navigate to Java program name - click all boxes and save)
4. Ran CCleaner to remove all temporary internet files, cookies, etc. that could be interfering
5. When nothing else worked, uninstalled and reinstalled Java twice (on the second time, it took over a dozen tries to reinstall Java - suddenly it just worked) and both times I deleted the Sun folder (C:/Users/Me/appdata/LocalLow/Sun) at the direction of tech support
6. Removed old registry entries both times using CCleaner
7. Rebooted (something done all along the way to see if it helped)
8. Tried to access live classes and recordings from multiple lectures through Blackboard Collaborate Elluminate and received the same error (details included below)
9. Tried to access Blackboard Collaborate Elluminate with Windows firewall on, then Windows firewall off, then ZoneAlarm Extreme firewall on, then ZoneAlarm Extreme firewall off (and entire associated software package); when on, ZoneAlarm gives "super" trusted status to all parts of Java listed and gives green checkmarks for all parts of Java listed and all levels of security
10. End results so far: receiving same error - nothing works
Here's the error followed by a copy of all text from the details section.
