Unable to launch photo shop cs5.1

I have tried to launch my photo shop CS5.1 with no success.  Message stated that I had to uninstall it and then reinstall it  but
first had to download Java SE6.   I installed Java for OX 2014-001 which it says supersedes  all previous versions of Java
Went back to PS suite.  there is now a box on website  which includes icons of all PS suite. Also an icon that says
UNINSTALL.  Right next to it there is an icon box  with an arrow. Guess that means to reinstall PS.
I then went into Photoshop.com. adobe and read the complaint blogs. There are many that relate to this situation
One says:  "An unexpected  and unrecoverable problem has occurred. Photoshop will now exit. "
There are several comments similar to this.
I do not want to lose PS.  What do I do if Photo Shop  "EXITS?"??????

    Hi.  When in LR 4  selecting "Edit inPhoto Shop CS5" for an image I no longer get the edit option box to choose "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Settings" . This seems to have vanished in LR4.     It's actually a pain as ACR 6.7 is not 100% compatible with LR4.1RC2. ACR6.7 (final) ignores the new defringing adjustments. It would make more sense to me if LR gave the option to "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Settings" so that I could open those images I have used defringing on using LR.
    The workaround is to set up an export preset to export a tiff with LR adjustments that will be included in the catalogue , and then edit the tiff in PS; an extra step but not too painful.

    Follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first before you click the download link otherwise the download link will not work.
    If you don't have a serial number then the trial will only work for 30 days then it will stop working.

    What am I doing wrong bei installing PS CS5.
    The installation seem to run good, but when it is completed and I touch the blue PS icon on the Desk Top

    My computer is unable to run photo shop CC and so on because my computer isn't compatible for being old. I was very sad to find out after purchasing. I did not check the compatibility because again, my computer isn't that old. I'm stessing out until i get a new computer because I really need photoshop for my photography. I think that the CS6 version or even lower would be compatible for my computer until I am able to afford a new one.     Is it possible to download a previous version of Photo shop (ie. cs4 or cs5)? I purchased Photo shop CC for my windows computer but when I attempted to download it to my mac I was told that my computer does not meet the system requirements.

    I don't know your OS, but I'll assume Snow Leopard 10.6.8  In which case Photoshop CS6 would be the best especially if you have a cloud membership like the Photography Plan.

    I'm running windows 8.1 . I updated photos shop elements with the lastest update but the organizer crashes when lauching

    I do not have any version of Premiere Elements installed.
    I never removed any files.  This is a clean installation from a couple months ago when I got my new hard drive.

    I am unable to synch photo albums from iPad 3 to iTunes on my Windows 7 pc.
    In addition to Camera roll and iPod cache default albums, I have 6 other albums made from pix derived from the camera roll. Eg -  Family pix in a folder, Office pix in another, Plant pixs in another, House architecture pix in another.......all also exist in the camera roll.
    I have trawled the net for the last 8 hrs in vain!
    I have ios5 on Ipad 3 and the latest Itunes on Windows PC.
    As a precaution, I have used the windows "add pictures from...." to keep a copy in a separate folder in the windows desktop, but again it has all the pics mixed up together and not sorted as per the various albums in the ipad!
    How to replicate the albums in the windows PC???

    Sync the photos back to the iPad using iTunes. You have to place the photos into a folder from which you sync photos. All photos that you want to sync to the device must be included in the main photos folder and selected to sync each time that you sync.
    Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
    Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
    Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
    Click on the Sync Photos From heading in order to select it.
    Select the photos folder that you want to sync from.
    Select all of the albums or photos within the folder that you want to sync.
    Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

    Depends on how you are launching Photoshop Express. If you are uploading right from your hard drive, then when you are done, it will save the file back to  your hard drive; you could then open it an any other program to continue editing.
