Unable to leave comments on blogs or websites.
As of last week any comments I leave on blogs and websites are not showing up ( with the exception of one website only ). I have contacted the site owners in case their spam catchers were catching my comments. This has not been the case. I have been a regular contributor to some of these sites for more than a year. The comment box shows up and I can type in a comment, but when I hit submit, the comment does not appear as posted. I have used first aid on disc utility, reset cookies but no luck. I am having the same problem using both Safari and Firefox. I have an iMac G5 running Leopard ( 10.5.8 ), I hope someone can help me. Thanks
Thanks for clarifying that. It always helps to post a way to solve a problem so that others might benefit. Your email must have been mistakenly tagged as spam.

Can't leave comments on blogs using iPad
I cannot comment on blogs using my iPad. Have tried Safari and Chrome. Found a suggestion to try Opera but it is so slow it won't even load the sites. Any suggestions?
The problem seems to be specific to blogs. I enter the required information in the comment fields, i.e., name, email, website, and comment--then hit the submit button. The site goes through refresh as if processing comment but comment doesn't appear. I have researched online and this appears to be a common problem when using iPads to leave comments on blogs. The only suggested solution has been to use Opera browser but it is extremely slow. Here are some examples of sites:
http://picky-palate.com/2014/06/16/cheesy-mediterranean-bacon-quesadilla/
http://www.recipegirl.com/2014/06/20/watermelon-gin-fizz
also, it doesn't make a difference if the site is mobile responsive. -
I read many blogs and news sources and I leave comments. I used to be able to leave comments on Fox News. Now when I press the button to leave a comment nothing happens and the box to leave a comment in does not pop up.
Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.
You can find the instructions for that in a post on the TalkTalk forums: [http://www.talktalk.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=185113#post2452787 Firefox 4 & TalkTalk webmail - Forums].
Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.
Does it work? -
Unable to Post Comments on Blogs
Hi Friends,
I'm not able to post my comments on blogs. Is it some authorization issue? I do have a blogger profile.
Regards,
Vimal GIs it some authorization issue?
Certainly not so. Can you provide the blog where you were not able to post. Also what error message system was popping up??? Ensure that while trying to comment on any blog, you have logged in :-(.
thanks

I've read a couple of threads on this, but haven't been able to find a resolution yet.
I have enabled for comments to be left on my blog and when you're in iWeb you can see the link "Add Comment"; however, once you publish and upload that option is no longer there.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help! I appreciate it!Hi,
Comments don't work without .Mac
If you are using .Mac I'm sorry I can't help because I don't have .Mac and don't know how it really works
If you are not using .Mac (or noone here can help you) you could add comments this way
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1152490&tstart=0 (maybe iComment will not help if using .Mac but haloscan will)
Enjoy your day,

Can't leave comments on websites using FF4
I have just updated to FF-4 and suddenly find that I am unable to leave a comment on various websites. When I attempt to "post" the comment, a new blank tab opens and the comment is never posted.
The problem seems to be specific to blogs. I enter the required information in the comment fields, i.e., name, email, website, and comment--then hit the submit button. I am new to this forum and joined to hopefully get some help in regards the Blog I write. I have been writing my Blog for a year and have just found out that readers cannot post comments onto my blog. Upon visiting my webpage and clicking on the "post a comment" tab, a new window opens up with the message "We're sorry. We are having a problems processing your request". This is not a day thing but keeps happening. Can anyone help? Thanks in advanced
http://web.mac.com/alixanderAli ~ Welcome to the discussions. See this Apple doc:
MobileMe: Unable to add comments to blog pages
...which was found by searching here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=search
In order for people to look at your site/blog, they can use either your mac.com or me.com URL. But in order to post their comments on your blog (if you've allowed them), they must use your me.com URL. If they try to add a comment via your mac.com URL, they'll get this message:
"We're sorry. We are having a problem processing your request."
...so it's probably better to tell everyone to use the me.com URL to access your site, i.e.
http://web.me.com/alixander
...not:
http://web.mac.com/alixander
You can send feedback about this problem to Apple here:

...In Feedback Type, choose iWeb Publishing. -
PC users can't leave comments on my blog.
Mac users can leave comments without an issue. PC users get to the comment screen, type the captcha, and nothing happens. Have tried it myself on 2 PCs and had same issue. Any advice?
Welcome to the discussions. If you'd prefer not to wait for possible suggestions here, MobileMe live chat support is now 24/7 — see this announcement.

Unable to view comments/reviews on websites
Whenever I click on comments/reviews on a website nothing appears. The screen changes to the reviews tab, but no reviews are displayed. I noticed this issue after upgrading to mountain lion. When shopping/researching an item it's nice to other shoppers reviews.
here's an image that might prove helpful.

I am the president of our neighborhood association (ugh) and we would like to put together preferably a blog that only the residents can see.
We'd cover issues in the 'hood about leaving for the winter (which half our residents do) to what projects we have going on, etc. Many of our residents are older and although they all have a computer they feel that if the blog is public it will target our neighborhood for break ins or what not (nice homes many vacant in winter months, etc.).
I have moblieMe and iWeb 09. Is there a way I can make a blog or website on either of these that is private.
I'm pretty sure you can set up a blog on blogger that is private but to do that all viewers have to have a gmail/blogger account and some of the older residents would have issues with that. I'd like to just somehow be able to restrict it to a simple sign in or to only certain email addresses.
Many thanks for any help.
SusanSusan ~ Problems with iWeb's blog are a recurring theme on these forums: Lost all blog entries or all comments or unable to publish, etc. — so I wouldn't recommend you use it for your new project. One free blogging platform you may appreciate for its simple email access is:
http://www.posterous.com/faq
...and you can make a Posterous blog "private" such that users need to enter a password to view your site:
http://posterous.com/help/private_sites
Or this social networking site has a blog and membership system:
http://about.ning.com/product.php
And for a success story using a non-iWeb blog hosted on WordPress, see this old thread:

I am unable to allow comments to be placed on my blog. Since this is a family reunion website/blog, it would really be great to hear from others and have them be able to post messages regarding the reunion. Any help out there?

Page formatting is out of whack after comments, new blogs, etc
I just started my website with iWeb and i'm already having problems. I first noticed this when I added a 7th blog entry and the white background on the blog listing page was not big enough for all the information there, so it shifted to a midpoint...it's difficult to explain... (pics should be helpful, keep reading)
I figured out a way to fix it, change the page layout dimensions, publish, change the layout back, and publish again - and it works! I was happy I found that, until i saw that every time someone would comment a blog or a picture, the page would become screwed up like that and i'd have to go through every page with a comment and fix it.
here are pictures of the problem (the white background should be covering the page top to bottom.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v41/CHPhater/problem.jpg
Or you can check out the site yourself. add a comment to a picture and watch the formatting screw itself over. www.calinchrist.com

I can't leave comments on embedded pages on Blogger.
When using Firefox, I cannot leave comments on embedded pages on Blogger. It won't let me use my Google account or openID. This is ONLY happening in Firefox. It also won't acknowledge that I'm logged into my blog when I need to do embedded editing, but continuously bounces me back to my dashboard. This is NOT a blogger problem. Again, it is only happening in Firefox.
Other pages where I'm having problems is when I'm asked if I want to sign into a page using an existing account like my Facebook account. Firefox just won't keep the information long enough to allow a connection. ALL other sites, passwords, and cookies appear to be working.
I've cleared out cookies, caches, updated Facebook, etc. I don't know what else to try.The way I get around it is to view it in IE tab. You can dl from mozilla. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/92382/

When I try to open some blogs, forums, websites and livestreams, they can not be opened. Specifically, as it is trying to redirect me to another link and it's always the same: gostats.com? But even this address does not open, but it just tries to load all the time, but without success. I haven't got such problems when all the same IP address is opened through Intenet Exprorer. Is this a problem with Firefox, or a virus, or something else?
More information. This morning, after waiting for a long time I got an error message from Foxnews.com that the page name was in error and showed some links to some news stories. Tried two of the Foxnews.com links and they worked.
The error message is:
Page Not Found
The page you are looking for has either moved or is no longer available, but
you may be interested in the content below.
So it looks like its the main page that causes the problem and it may be a Foxnews.com web site problem?
Still not working this morning so I tried "private browsing" and that worked.
So I tried two things and the second one fixed it, at least for now.
So first clear your cache. See "Tools", "Clear Recent History" and check the details to make sure you only clear "Cache" and whatever else you want cleared. I only cleared the cache.
But I didn't see "Clear recent history" I thought I could only do it in "Options". So I did it through "Tools", "Options", "Advanced", "Network" tab then under "Network Storage" click the "Clear Now" button.
So try and see if that works.
Otherwise I tried clearing all of the Foxnews cookies first. But that didn't seem to help by itself. So only clear them out if you have to. And add a comment here so other people know if they need to do both. -
Leaving Comments on your iWeb Pages
What kind of service can I use to enable users to leave comments on my blog posts or on my pages? One that's noninvasive and super easy-to-use and most important of all, free, would be ideal. Please let me know what you use and/or how to use it.
Are you publishing to MobileMe or a 3rd party server? For regular pages you might use a guestbook like in this demo page: Guestbook.
I'll guess that you're using a 3rd party server since with MMe blogs can have comments added.
For 3rd party servers one of these might work:
