Unable to leave comments

I've read a couple of threads on this, but haven't been able to find a resolution yet.
I have enabled for comments to be left on my blog and when you're in iWeb you can see the link "Add Comment"; however, once you publish and upload that option is no longer there.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help! I appreciate it!

Hi,
Comments don't work without .Mac
If you are using .Mac I'm sorry I can't help because I don't have .Mac and don't know how it really works
If you are not using .Mac (or noone here can help you) you could add comments this way
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1152490&tstart=0 (maybe iComment will not help if using .Mac but haloscan will)
Enjoy your day,
Cédric

  • Since I have received my last update (ver. 3.6.13) from Firefox I am unable to leave comments on Fox News. What is the problem?

I read many blogs and news sources and I leave comments. I used to be able to leave comments on Fox News. Now when I press the button to leave a comment nothing happens and the box to leave a comment in does not pop up.

Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.
You can find the instructions for that in a post on the TalkTalk forums: [http://www.talktalk.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=185113#post2452787 Firefox 4 & TalkTalk webmail - Forums].
Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.
    Does it work?

  • Unable to leave comments on blogs or websites.

As of last week any comments I leave on blogs and websites are not showing up ( with the exception of one website only ). I have contacted the site owners in case their spam catchers were catching my comments. This has not been the case. I have been a regular contributor to some of these sites for more than a year. The comment box shows up and I can type in a comment, but when I hit submit,  the comment does not appear as posted. I have used first aid on disc utility, reset cookies but no luck. I am having the same problem using both Safari and Firefox. I have an iMac G5 running Leopard ( 10.5.8 ), I hope someone can help me. Thanks

Thanks for clarifying that.  It always helps to post a way to solve a problem so that others might benefit.  Your email must have been mistakenly tagged as spam.

  • Can't leave comments on websites using FF4

I have just updated to FF-4 and suddenly find that I am unable to leave a comment on various websites. When I attempt to "post" the comment, a new blank tab opens and the comment is never posted.

The problem seems to be specific to blogs. I enter the required information in the comment fields, i.e., name, email, website, and comment--then hit the submit button. The site goes through refresh as if processing comment but comment doesn't appear. I have researched online and this appears to be a common problem when using iPads to leave comments on blogs. The only suggested solution has been to use Opera browser but it is extremely slow. Here are some examples of sites:

    http://www.recipegirl.com/2014/06/20/watermelon-gin-fizz
also, it doesn't make a difference if the site is mobile responsive.

  • I can't leave comments on embedded pages on Blogger.

When using Firefox, I cannot leave comments on embedded pages on Blogger. It won't let me use my Google account or openID. This is ONLY happening in Firefox. It also won't acknowledge that I'm logged into my blog when I need to do embedded editing, but continuously bounces me back to my dashboard. This is NOT a blogger problem. Again, it is only happening in Firefox.
Other pages where I'm having problems is when I'm asked if I want to sign into a page using an existing account like my Facebook account. Firefox just won't keep the information long enough to allow a connection. ALL other sites, passwords, and cookies appear to be working.
I've cleared out cookies, caches, updated Facebook, etc. I don't know what else to try.

The way I get around it is to view it in IE tab. You can dl from mozilla. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/92382/

  • Unable to view comments

    HI,
I am unable to view comments after validly adding to input schedules through EVCOM. when i go to view comments it retrieves no data. can any one hlep or provide some details.
    Kishore

    Hello!
I had the same problem. In my case i has two EVDREs and 2 EVCOM functions. The problem was that in the moment of posting data it took the the wrong CV. Go to the comments table in ABAP and check the cube slice where the data is written. It will help you to understand what is the problem in your case.
To find comments table go through the detailed instruction Where are comments stored in Netweaver?
    Good luck!

  • Why am I unable to post comments from FF. I can do it from IE, but it takes ages. Virus etc. checked.

    Two problems:
    1. I am unable to post comments from FF, but I can do it from IE,
though it takes ages with IE. Checked for Virus etc. with McAfee,
ZoneAlarm and Spybot. FF versions 4 later changed to 12. Both
do not allow - just keeps waiting (tried up to about 1 hour). It
    started about a month ago.
    2. I am unable to attach .pdf files from FF in Yahoo Mail. It works
from IE - though it takes ages (script?).
I am using 'NO Script' from FF - but for most cases I have to
    go to 'partially allowed' mode.
    Thanks
    SB

    (1) As instructed I went to 'run' and typed in the code. It took me to 'xuowtwd1.default' folder under 'Profiles'. There were several files stored there and
I did not know what to do. Next...
(2). As suggested I went to 'troubleshooting Information' under 'Help' drop down list.
(3). Followed instructions, but could not find the 'Reset Profile' button.
(4). It said the instructions were not for my version (V12) of FF.
    (5). Downloaded V. 14.0.1
(6). Will not install. As mentioned earlier I am using Windows 2000 (p.s.initial
    complaint)

  • PC users can't leave comments on my blog.

Mac users can leave comments without an issue. PC users get to the comment screen, type the captcha, and nothing happens. Have tried it myself on 2 PCs and had same issue. Any advice?

  • Can't leave comments on blogs using iPad

I cannot comment on blogs using my iPad. Have tried Safari and Chrome. Found a suggestion to try Opera but it is so slow it won't even load the sites. Any suggestions?

  • My keyboard loses functionality when I try to leave comments on Facebook. Delete, backspace, apostrophe and cut, copy and paste are disabled.

My keyboard loses functionality when I try to leave comments on Facebook.
Delete, backspace, apostrophe and cut, copy and paste are disabled. This only happens in comments, no functionality is lost in messaging or status updates.
I have disabled all my add-ons and restarted Firefox and the issue persists. I have updated add-ons, restarted Firefox and the issue persists.
I have updated Firefox and that made no difference.
I have cleared cookies and cache and still no luck.
SOLUTION: I disabled the Grammarly Lite add-on and this seems to have resolved the issue.
I have informed Facebook of the issue. I cannot find any information about this problem in Facebook's troubleshooting.
I cannot replicate this issue in Internet Explorer. All the functions work fine.
I have the same issue on a different device that runs Windows 7 Starter and on a laptop that runs Windows 8.1.

  • Leaving Comments on your iWeb Pages

What kind of service can I use to enable users to leave comments on my blog posts or on my pages? One that's noninvasive and super easy-to-use and most important of all, free, would be ideal. Please let me know what you use and/or how to use it.

Are you publishing to MobileMe or a 3rd party server? For regular pages you might use a guestbook like in this demo page: Guestbook.
I'll guess that you're using a 3rd party server since with MMe blogs can have comments added.

For 3rd party servers one of these might work:

  • Unable to view comment bubble notes

Some of my students annotated and commented on letters using the Adobe Reader iPad App. When they exported their documents they were unable to view the comments they typed in the note bubble. They tried uploading directly to Dropbox and e-mailing both the Original and Flattened versions. Suggestions please.

    Hello
I am having this trouble too I think.
My PDF business plan form is annotated within Adobe Reader on my iPad (1, iOS5) app but when i try to email it (either flattened or not) all my editing and annotations are lost. I cannot find them when I open the PDF in iBooks, Dropbox or Kindle either - all of which are options on my tablet. It just opens as an unmarked blank original business plan form.
What can I do? This has not happened before... It did used to work!

  • IWeb Blog - How do people leave comments?

Hi - I have made a site with iWeb and added a blog. Even though I have 'ticked' the box to allow comments I can't see where or how anyone can leave any?
Can anyone help me with what I am doing or not doing?

You can use a 3rd party comments site to add to your blog page without having to change servers. This one has been recommended by several users: http://www.intensedebate.com/
Another one is http://aboutecho.com/products-overview.html but I think that's not free if there's over so many comments. I've not used either so can't comment on their effectiveness first hand.
