Unable to license my trial subscription (Creative Cloud Lightroom 5.4 and Photoshop) Mac OSX mavericks

I  am unable to license my trial subscription to CC because when prompted to enter a serial number, neither my Photoshop CS5 nor Lightroom 4 serial numbers are accepted.
I have checked my member login and account info and they are correct. What do I need to do to activate and license my C subscription.
System: Mac OSX Mavericks, MacPro tower 3.1

Paulreif if you are being prompted to enter a serial number it is typically due to your computer being unable to contact our activation server.  Please see Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CC, CS6, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html for information on how to restore this connection.
