Unable to load Apple mobile device
"Apple Mobile device errors"
Says im missing MSVCR80.dll and need to reload itunes, but keep getting the same error.
Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

Itunes 11.1 will not load apple mobile device
Hi
I downloaded i tunes 11.1 yessterday after upgrading my devices to iOS7.
Initially 11.1 would not load stating errors were causing a rollback.
I managed to get 11.1 loaded but now, no devices are recognised.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 11.1 but no joy as after checking, I no no longer have Apple Mobile device listed anywhere in the common files.
I have tried to download and install each individual part of the itunes package which is okay until i try to install just the Apple Mobile device part whereby again, it just loads then rolls back stating errors.
I have run registry cleaners after this and again tried re installing...nothing.
It seems after looking here that i may need the Mobile device driver but, I cant seem to find, let alone be able to load it on my laptop...
Has anyone got any ideas please, as after three hours of trying, its starting to get just a little annoying now??
Thanks in advanceHi
thanks but, this is for a Mac system and i have Windows 8.
I have already tried deletng everything which is by Apple from the pc and reinstalled i tunes....
Unfortunately, its still the same
hence, its getting annoying .... -
The "Unable to install Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" problem
Ever since I installed iTunes 10, I've had nothing but problems. I tried every fix I could find on the internet, unfortunately there are not too many, Apple's own website has loads of fixes but they never work.
I keep getting the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver come up in Device Manager with a little yellow exclamation mark and nothing I seem to do can fix it properly. I managed to fix it once, my iPod was synced and all was good, but once I restarted my PC, the problems started again. And I tried my friends iPhone which works perfectly and the same problem came up on my PC.
Cant someone give me a proper fix please?I had the same problem with my iTouch when I upgraded to iTunes 10. I'm not sure if my problem was the same as with the nano but every time I reinstalled iTunes and plugged in my Touch, I got an error message for driver installation and the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver in Device Manager with a little yellow exclamation mark. The error message that came up stated something about the digital signature of the driver not being right. The fix that worked for me was as follows:
Delete the 2 Apple Mobile Device USB Driver files. If you right click on the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver in Device Manager and select properties it will tell you where they are located in the windows folder. My 2 files for windows 7 64 bit were:
usbaapl64.sys
usbaaplrc.dll
With ipod disconnected, restart computer and press F8 to enter boot menu.
Select boot option without digital driver signature support.
After boot, connect ipod and driver should automatically install correctly without error.
Good Luck
I called Apple and they would not provide any unpaid support for iTunes issues. -
Failed to load Apple Mobile Device Support
I updated to the latest iTunes and I keep receiving this error message. In order to fix it I've tried:
Restarting the Windows Service
Uninstalling Apple Mobile Device Support
Different USB cables
Different USB ports
Reinstalling iTunes
Restarting my iPhone
Restarting Windows
Nothing fixes it. My iPhone is no longer recognized by iTunes or other products such as iFunbox or PhoneClean. The iPhone will charge via PC, but that is it. The only other thing I can think of trying is reformatting my PC....
Again, this all started after I installed the newest iTunes. Any help would be great. Thanks.I had a similar (but strange) problem yesterday after installing (via Update prompt) iTunes 12.1. Everything looked OK but I found that my wife's iphone 4S wasn't detected by iTunes, but strangely my iphone 4S was. Checked cable (same cable), checked connecting port on both phones, everything OK. Both phones were detected by Windows (8.1 64 bit). Decided to reboot both phones and the PC. Made no difference. However, sometimes MY phone wasn't being detected either.
Finally I deleted iTunes following this set of instructions http://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT1925 and reinstalled iTunes from a fresh download. Everything now working OK.
Make sure you follow the sequence of uninstall processes before reinstalling.
Hope this helps. -
IPad - Windows Vista unable to locate Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)
Hey everyone , I am at my wits end trying to fix this problem . Having spent hours and hours researching a solution I am no closer to finding a resolution.
The problem began during a software update last week ( I have an original iPad , prior to this I had used it on my PC for nearly 12 months without issue).
During the software update it started coming up with a "Found New Hardware Apple Mobile Device Recovery mode" then "Browse for Driver software" , so I direct it to C:ProgrammeFiles\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Driver etc .... however it still cant locate it.
Now - the iPad is stuck in Recovery Mode. It has been nearly a week now.
Here is what Ive tried
Confirmed Apple Mobile USB installed and working
Followed the Apple Support prompts re drivers to a tee
Tried manual update of Driver
Updated to latest iTUNES
Uninstalled then reinstalled driver
Read post after post on "similar" issues
Nothing is helping
Please , please , please , pleeeeeeeeeease can you guys help ?
Please note following
My iPOD Classic is recognised fine by my PC and is 100% working
I havnt completely deleted itunes then reinstalled because post after post tells me this doesnt fix this particular issue
During the software update initially it was coming up with a 604 error / Restore as well as the Driver issue , now my ipad is not recognised at all by Windows
Yes - I could take it too another PC to restore , but I want it synced to my PC and ITUNES library
I feel I'm no Computer Dummy , but this one is a total head scratcher
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp !!!!!!!!!!Fixed.
Took iPAD to Apple store who restored back to factory setting.
Brought home and it synced fine
Back up and running
Diagnosis ? probably some soft ware update glitch
Lesson ? - dont waste your time reinstalling Itunes for this problem -
Itouch verson 3.0 (7A341) unable to start Apple Mobile Device Support .
can someone help ? i spent my 6 hours figuring this out . i googl-ed everything all the solutions it still wouldn't work :/
services thingy stuff , change to automatic , done that already . still could not start it says .
"The Apple Mobile device service on Local area connection started and then stopped . some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs"
i really hope someone can help me out . reinstalling and installing , done that 30 times . >_<This one is tough to diagnose. Can you try another cable and/or another USB port on the same computer and see if the situation repeats itself? Also, if you have an opportunity then try connecting your iPod on another computer and see if works. The purpose would be to eliminate the iPod Touch as the cause vs the computer/iTunes being the cause.

Unable to Synch - "Apple Mobile Device Not Started"
I am trying to synch my iPhone and my iPad to iTunes. I connect to the computer and open iTunes. I get a message that says: "The iPhone (or iPad - I get the same message with either device) cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device is not started."
I have successfully synched both my iPhone and my iPad to iTunes lots of times before. I never got this message before. Of course, when that message comes up, it's game over - iTunes will not recognize my device and so it is impossible to synch.
What steps do I need to take to get through this problem? Thanks! AFTER posting this basic question, I did what I should have done in the first place and serached it out. Of course there is all kinds of info on what to do - I did it, problem fixed. Frankly, I am a little embarrassed. I should have searched first.
Anyway, thanks for posting what you did. -
Unable to uninstall Apple mobile device support
Hello,
I'm having big troubles with my Itunes, and more exactly with apple mobile device support.
I tried to uninstall every programmes of itunes (itunes, quick-time, apple mobile, bonjour...) to reinstall it.
I can't uninstall apple mobile device support. It won't disappear from the "programmes and applications". And the option "repair" doesn't work also. And every time i try to reinstall itunes it failed because of apple mobile device installation.
When i'm on my desk, the service apple mobile device is stopped, and when i try to start it, the computer can't reach access, and said something like "error 1053" or "can't access to sthe service". So i think that Apple mobile device support is the key of the problem, but i don't know how to fix it.
I'm a bit desperate because i didn't found anywhere some solutions, so if someone has, i will be very very grateful.
Thanks YouOthers might find this process useful for issues with iTunes 11.1.4.62....
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Itunes 12 won't load Apple Mobile Device - says I dont have sufficient privliges
Hi
I have tried to install iTunes 12 but it hangs when trying to install the Apple Mobile Device.
Service "Apple Mobile Device" (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient priviliges to start system services.
Abort Retry Ignore
Whatever I try fails and even after removing all details and files as Apple says it still doesn't work. Even going back to 11.4 fails in the same place and "Access is Denied" if I try and start the Apple Mobile Device Service.
It doesn't then find my iPhone, so I am stuck.
Anyone got any ideas. I have tried all the uninstalling and reinstalling several times now.
Chris...I had the same problem. Use the uninstall feature to delete all of the Apple related programs that came with the recent download. There should be 3. Check the dates they were installed to be sure.
DO NOT DELETE any folders manually unless you want to lose playlists, etc.
Reboot your computer then reinstall. It worked like a charm for me! -

How do i fix the "Unable to install Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" problem access denied
My new iphone 5c will not work with my laptop. The apple mobile usb driver will not install. 'Access denied' is the final message in the diaolgue box of the device load error. The device is recognized but there is the yellow triangle with the exclamation point on it indicating an error installing. I've removed itunes and its components as directed step by step ..... twice..... I've disabled antivirus, firewalls, and even created a second admin profile in hopes that it would load the driver. Nothing is working. The apple person was supposed to call me back after we were on the phone 90 minutes. Well.... I guess she did not. Help!!! I would love to sync my phone. Any ideas?
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Unable to install Apple Mobile, during a fressh iTunes install to XP
A popup displays the message that its unable to install Apple MObile Device because lacking privilege.
I have read previous discussions about similiar problems, and tried all. I have positively cleaned all traces of itunes and related apps, and tried to install from scratch with the latest iTunes 11, same error occurs.
Suggestions are much appreciated.
Thanks in advance for spending some cycles on this.
-SteveI have tried that, it didn't work. My problem is verbatim the original post, all of it. I understand they are possibly two different issues, but if the OP had the exact same problem, maybe it's related. I have tried every troubleshooter found on here so far. It all works until the very end where it is says Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is not digitally signed and fails to load. I did a complete recover on my computer and started over at factory settings. Same problem. It was at factory settings when it worked the first time, so I even went back and did the first iTunes install as the version I had when I got my phone and tried starting from there. Same exact problem.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, I've done a manual install, I've make sure everything was started and restarted in the Services option. I've reinstalled all the files for Apple Mobile Services and rewrote the registry files for it all copied from a working computer. None of it works.
And I don't really care about the disc drive issue, just the other half. The registry walk through works to get the error to go away for the disc drive, but then it screws up the drive's driver and it won't work at all anyway. I don't mind clicking through that error each time and using a different program to burn. But I do need iTunes to sync my phone. -
HT1925 Why can I not uninstall "apple mobile device support" from my computer?
I am unable to uninstall "apple mobile device support program" from my computer. The uninstall is necessary because an error message MSVC80.dll pops up.

HT201628 How to remove and reinstall the Apple Mobile Device Spport on Windows
my new iphone 5s cannot be recognized by itune
I installed the newest version of itune
The itune asked me to uninstall the apple mobile device support and intue
because i need newer version of apple mobile device support
I tried to uninstall the apple mobile device support
but it still in the list of my programs and features
Is there some other way to uninstall the apple mobile device support?
thanks a lotThanks, Tiinsky. I followed your instructions (deleting the Apple Mobile Device Support folder under C:) \Program FIles\Common Files\Apple and this seems to have done the trick.
Incidentally, even after doing so, I was still unable to uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support through the control panel. It would go three-quarters of the way through the process and then roll back the whole uninstallation.
However, removing those folders did allow me to successfully re-install iTunes--something I hadn't been able to do before. Previously, it would stall out and give me an error message reading "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services" with the choices Retry Abort Ignore--none of which worked.

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
