Unable to load CS4 to new iMac

I purchased CS4 from Adobe a few days ago and followed the instructions to load to a new iMac (OS 10.5 4GB Ram) which is a couple of weeks old. This is the first software I have attempted to load onto it. After trying twice and getting an error message both times 'some of the application components are missing please re-install the application' I contacted tech support at Adobe who walked me through uninstalling and re-installing. The program appeared to install but the error message came back and now the program is not loading at all. Tech support said they would call me back but I am still waiting many hours later.
I had many years with PCs but this is my first iMac and I am unsure if the error is with the Mac or the software.I would be grateful for any advice as I am totally lost.

Gotta say Ann, that sounds an absolutely dreadful solution to your problem, you had to install a DEMO version?!! WHAT!!! seriously?!
Ya know, with Adobe (and many other software providers) it's kind of like if you bought a brand new car from a car dealership but the driver door had a seal across it saying on it "if you break this seal you agree to the terms and conditions that said manufacturer are imposing", you then break the seal (cos you have to to get in) and then drive the car out of the showroom only to find that on the first turn of the wheel the wheel comes off in your hands, you then go to the dealers and say, "hey, this car isn't working properly, it's rubbish", to which they say "yeah but you agreed to the terms and conditions so it's your problem, but hey, as we're feeling kind we have some sticky tape in the showroom, we'll tape it back on again for you"
This ain't good enough Adobe, somebody SERIOUSLY needs to look into the licensing issues with software manufacturers, you couldn't get away with this junk anywhere else in industry, so why so for software???!!!
Either Adobe should produce rock solid software or they shouldn't produce software at all.

A Photoshop installation is tied to the machine it was installed on. Moving it to or from a hard drive breaks the licensing.
The answer is easy: Reinstall CS4 from your disc. and apply all updates.

Transfer CS4 to new iMac via Time Machine

I used Time Machine to rebuild my drive onto my new iMac 27" (Intel Core i7) running OS version 10.8.2. I got "Code 150:30" when I tried to open my Photoshop (CS4). I downloaded LicenseRecovery 11.6.1, but the app failed to open. What next?

This Adobe page provides an app (LicenseRecovery 11.6.1), supposedly designed to reinstate a licensing issue. When I opened the file, and tried to open the app that's suggested on this page, the program hung. I assumed the app hadn't been updated for Mountain Lion.
Wouldthis app address the issue if it had worked?

CS5 wont load in my new iMac

I have a new iMac and own the CS5 suite. I tried to load and it only partially installed the programs. Now it trys to laod and says "Your installation encountered errors." Please help!

Upgrading from CS to CS4 on new iMac

I currently run Creative Suite Premium (CS) on a G5 iMac. I will soon be buying a new iMac running Snow Leopard and would like to upgrade to CS4 Design Standard, I know there is an upgrade for this.
My question is: How do I install the CS4 upgrade onto the new imac which will have no earlier version of Creative Suite. Also is it necessary to upgrade to CS4 on my old G5.

CS4 will work on both computers.
To install CS4 on the New computer just enter the serial number of CS when prompted. Be sure to buy the upgrade from CS. It seems Snow Leopard has a few problems you may need to wait for a few updates from Apple before all your software runs correctly on the new computer. If it were me I would get a model that was still running 10.5.x and pay the $25 for Snow leopard.

Migrated CS4 to new iMac - am getting error code 150:30

Have migrated all my programs to a new iMac - none of the CS4 programmes will launch. I get the message ' Licensing for this product has stopped working' following the advice on Adobe's site, I downloaded the License Recovery tools but get the message 'You can't open the application 'License Recovery Launcher' because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. Any advice as to next step would be appreciated.

Migration does not work for Adobe programs. You need to install using installation files. Uninstall what you have, use the cleaner tool, and reinstall via download if you do not have discs.

If you need to find your serial number, it might be available thru your Adobe account online if you registered the software when you originally installed it.

Trouble installing CS4 on new iMacs

Since I cannot insert disks into the new iMacs(there is no drive), I was told to copy the content onto my desktop, and install it that way. When I open istaller, the content from disk 1 is installed successfully, but then it asks me to insert disk 2. Since I already the content of disk 2, I just press "ok," but nothing happens; it just keeps repeating the same prompt for me to insert disk 2. I would image this is because the installer reads when another disk is inserted, but since there is no disk drive, it doesn't think I've done anything. As a result, only the content from disk 1 is installed. How can I install the whole thing?

Loading CS4 on new drive

I`m runnung CS3 and windows Vista 64bit.........I will be removing this drive and adding a new drive that I will be loading windows 7 64 bit and then CS4 UPGRADE. My question is....do I have to deactivate CS3 before I remove this drive or do I leave it activated. I do not want to load CS3 on the new drive and upgrade. Can I just load CS4 on the new drive ? I don`t plan on using CS3 so I don`t really want to install it and then upgrade. Thank you for any info on this...........Peter

If your CS4 is an upgrade from CS3, you should be able to just use the CS3 installation DVD, when asked, and install CS4 from there. You should not have to first install CS3.
If the old HDD can be hooked back up later, you might leave CS3 alone for now, and when things are up and running properly on the new HDD, then Deactivate it from the old drive. There should not be an issue with an Activated copy of CS3 and a new installation of the upgraded CS4. Unless things have changed drastically, I had both CS and CS2 installed and Activated on my two machines, with no issues. When all was good, I just Deactivated both CS installations and removed them.

Paragraph styles dialogue is empty. I'm unable to load or create new styles and have them show up.

I've used paragraph styles in Indesign CS4 since 2009 and yesterday (6-10-14) I noticed the paragraph styles dialogue was empty. I figured somehow I must have accidentally deleted or cleared them. I then proceeded to attempt loading them from another document. After "Loading Paragraph Styles..." via the drop-down in the upper right corner of the dialogue box nothing showed up.
I then proceeded to create a new style it to never appeared in the list—it remains empty.
Any ideas?

I usually have another string, but I might use a different mysql driver. Try opening your mysql driver with winzip and see if the class is there and at the defined directory place
