Unable to load new filter, get error message

Hello. I have been using Pixel Bender for several months without a problem. I am running CS5 64bit. Today, I tried to add a new filter skinColorFilter and I get an error that NewFilter already exists and cannot be added. I looked in the Pixel Bender Files folder and no such filter exists. This is a link to the screen image of the error I am getting; .
I am able to continue and use all the other filters and do see a NewFilter listed but have no idea where it came from. Any ideas what I can do to resolve this problem...........Ralph

Hello, and thank you for responding. The problem is that there is no NewFilter in the Pixel Bender directory and in fact there is no such file in my entire disk. My first reaction was to delete the filter but couldn't do so as it didn't exist. I have since downloaded other filters that work fine so have decided to give up and live without the skinColorFilter.

Just wondering if anyone can be of any assistance.
I recently purchased a HP Photosmart 2575 all-in-one printer and installed the necessary software, which said it was successfully installed. However, whenever I boot up the G3 I keep getting the following message 'Unable to load the printer drive, open the applications Get Info dialog and increase the preferred memory size. If this does not help try quitting all other applications or reinstalling the printer software.'
After clicking ok on this message about four times the message goes and I am able to print fine. Just wondering why this is happening. I have increased the memory allocation and also turnt on the virtual memory to see if this makes any difference, but all to no avail. I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled the software to see if this makes a difference, but that didn't help either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS: The printer is connected via ethernet on my router to enable me to print from another machine

Use Techtool Lite or Trash*Desktop (TD may delete Finder comments )to rebuild your desktop w/extensions off. Does a better job than manually & you avoid all the finger gymnatics. You just have to hold down the shift key to shut off extensions.
Restart to turn the extensions back on again.

Having problems launching iTunes on my pc. Had iTunes on this particular pc for over a year. Have downloaded all of the new updated versions. Now I get an error message saying "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall." I have backed up the pc to an earlier date when when the program was working, and also performed serveral system diagnosis all saying the program is incompatible. Searched for several compatible programs, none worked. All this happened several days after visiting iTunes. I'm afraid that if I reinstall iTunes that I will loose everything and have to start all over. Eventhough everything is saved in an iCloud account and this particular pc. Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?

Can't get my website to load...get error message

I have built 3 websites in iweb. One of them is forwarded to an outside domain. I am having no problem accessing that website via the web. The other 2 however also keep getting forwarded to the outside domain. I think this is a simple fix but my tired old brain can't figure it out. I had bookmarked one of the websites @ http://web.mac.com/delaney303/donquadestudio/home.html....until last night I was able to access through the bookmark, but last night when I did that I got an error message that the website can't be found. Also i have no idea what the iweb address for the 3rd website is. The good news is that i have all of the website domains ....they are still there...they have not been deleted. Thanks for any help.

Don't use the Visit Site Now button. It does not take you the right place (and that really doesn't matter either). Just make browser bookmarks for the urls you gave me and use those.
Normally I use bookmarks, to me it is just easier, but I couldn't find the mazza site to bookmark it and yesterday the donquade site bookmark stopped working and I got a .mac error message saying the page wasn't there ; probably for one of 3 reasons a) never published b) moved since published c) don't have .mac account I know I have a .mac account and the site has been published so I think somehow it is in the wrong place. I will quit using visit site now.

To get rid of the misleading stuff at the bottom of iWeb and in the Visit Site Now button, try going to your .Mac Account Settings and getting rid of the stuff you did in the Personal Domain area. You are not using CNAME and thus you should have nothing entered in this area.
I started to do that at this screen:and got this message:

So I selected to remove the domain and got this message
Are you sure you want to remove this domain?
If you remove this domain, your .Mac site will no longer be viewable at www.robertdelaneyarts.com
and now I am a big 'fraidy cat to remove it because I want people to be able to see it when they type in www.robertdelaneyarts. What am I missing...could I have just moved my domains somewhere and the computer can't find them? I think I have caused this problem and am still not sure what the next steps to follow are.

I'm getting this error message : Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. as I install itunes. I've tried multiple times and no joy.

DVD-Rs no longer load, DVD+Rs get error message

Hi everyone, I'm having some trouble with my Superdrive. Long story short, ever since I tried to use a DVD+R in the drive it's stopped recognizing DVD-Rs (spits them out without even loading them into the finder) and it refuses to burn DVD+Rs (I get an error code, 0x8002006E).
What I've tried up until now: Reparing permissions (several times, both in a normal session and from the Tiger DVD), running TechTool Deluxe (just got it, no idea what it can really do), and giving the computer some time to adjust its attitude.
Is there any way to get at least one of these types of blank media to work in my drive? This is extremely frustrating.

Make sure the DVDs are clean, not scratched and or smudged.

Try another brand.
Since you indicate that you previously had no problems using DVD+Rs maybe your drive needs cleaning. Cleaning kits are available from any store that sells CD/DVDs.
You can also check out your Mac OS Help Menu for DVD troubleshooting tips and/or solutions. Just type dvd in the search field.
If none of the above works hopefully, you are still under warranty and/or have AppleCare.

New iPhone6Plus - gets error message "Cable or Accessory not certified". Problem is, I have nothing connected. I have a few ipad

I recently got a new iPhone 6 Plus to replace my 5S. I randomly get an error, "Cable or Accessory not certified" - straight out the box. However, nothing is plugged into the device! I then updated the 5S to iOS 8.0.2 - it now gets the same error. I have two iPad mini's and an iPad - all on 8.x, all use the same twelve south dock and cable to charge. Tried hard reset/restore from backup - absolutely nothing inside the lightning connection.
I've mentioned this to others, and all iOS 8 users I've spoken to have seen this, and they click 'dismiss', and think nothing of it. This smells of a software problem....
Anyone else experiencing this? Any root cause analysis done? I've tried disabling Bluetooth, but it still comes back...
