Unable to load resource: Web Start
I have a server called BIServer running on mds9021.sas-frontiers.com. Using jboss. And there is a database called dictionary also running on that machine. Both are up. Then I have a person that started up Web Start and is trying to connect to the mds9021.sas-frontiers.com. machine. But I get the following error.
An error occured while launching/running the application.
Title: jhfkskas
Vendor: sdjkfhjksdhfk
Category: Download Error
Unable to load resource: http://mds9021.sas-frontiers.com/webstart/...jretriever.jnlp
If anybody knows what this means please let me know.
Thanx
Thank you for the advise. But I got it sorted. The problem was jre related. The links got mixed up one way or the other and was using the wrong jre version.

Unable to load resource - error
This is my first attempt at using java web start. I'm using JDeveloper to generate my jnlp which I've included below.
However I get the following error which I cannot see a solution for. I'm sure there must be a simple solution.
The exception is:

- My project name is "DaaS" and my jar, html page and jnlp page are in same directory. And I'm running my html page on tomcat-7 server.

You aren't specifying an 'id' element. See the Deploy Java Toolkit documentation. -
JavaFX application deployment problem - Error: Unable to load resource
I am developing my first JavaFX application. When I install the jnlp and jar files on my web server I have no problems using the application from either my development machine (Windows XP) or my test machines (Windows XP & Mac OS X). However, one person evaluating the application reports getting the following error:
Error: Unable to load resource: http://dl.javafx.com/1.3/javafx-rt-windows-i586__V1.3.0_b412.jar
What are the possible causes of this problem and how can they be resolved? If being able to redistribute the JavaFX runtime is important to you, make sure you let Oracle know. Personally I'd prefer to host it myself or bundle it with an application installer. Being forced to rely on dl.javafx.com isn't acceptable for me.

Recently upgraded PC with latest edition of iTunes (1/30/2014), afterwards, received this error message while attempting to sync iphone with PC: Unable to load, resource not found, SyncUICoreLocalized.dll
THIS HAS EVERY APPEARANCE OF A SOFTWARE GLITCH BY APPLE ... So first suggestion is NOT to begin reinstalling various software but to await some answer & fix from Apple. Too many have same problem on various systems, in my view (I am not an Apple rep but have certainly faced many glitches over the years).
PS - LOTS of Apple software problems these days, including many people having their Contacts shredded. What's going on with Apple? -
PC Suite Error message - "Unable to load resources...
Hi I have just updated to PC Suite 7.0.9.2 and constantly get the following error message popping up - Unable to load resources - c:/program files\nokia\nokia pc suite\Lang\PcSynch2_eng.nir.
Has this been reported before? Cheers
Details as follows:
PC Connectivity Solution:
Version 8.22.4.0
[Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver:]
Version 7.0.2.1
Operating system:
Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit Edition, Service Pack 1
Language: English
Language for non-Unicode programs: English
Detected Internet browsers:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0
- Mozilla Firefox
Detected Bluetooth stacks:
- Microsoft (Version: 6.0.6000, Build: 16386)This has been reported, yes. It would seem a previous the regitry points PCSuite to install the 'lang' files from an old folder, and therefore cannot locate them. Can you make sure that this file 'PcSynch2_eng.nlr' is in the folder nokia\nokia pc suite\Lang and not in 'nokia pc suite 7' which it probably is. If so, create a folder 'nokia pc suite' (without the 7) and copy the contents of 'nokia pc suite 7' to it. It will resolve the issue.

PC Suite 7.0.7.0 Error: Unable to load resources
When my Nokia N95 8Gb connects to PC Suite by bluetooth I get a pop-up error message which says:
Unable to load resources:
C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia PC Suite 6\Lang\PcSync2_eng.nlr
How do I fix this problem?
My PC is running Windows Vista Home Premium with SP 1.Go to C:\Program Files\Nokia, right-click (mouse) on a blank area then left-click on "New" & "Folder". This creates a 'directory' called "New Folder". Right click on this new folder and select 'rename' and rename it to "Nokia PC Suite 6". Next, open this folder, and repeat the process to create a new folder and rename it to "Lang".
Hope this helps. -

Files are available at www.otomotion.org/test.. I can
download the jar and run it locally.I tried running it locally, and it worked for me as well,
so I took a closer look at the Wrapped Exception
in the console and noted it mentioned ..
java.util.zip.ZipException: ZIP file must have at least one entryOK.. so I checked it using ..
jar -t frame.jar..the console just sat there doing nothing!
When I opened it using WinZip, I could see the
class, manifest and RSA/SF files, but WinZip will
handle any old junk, so that does not really help
us.
I suggest you generate the jar fresh, and check it
using the 'jar -t' command (if Jar cannot understand
it alright, I expect JWS won't either - perhaps when
'launching the jar' from the file system, such checks
are unnecessary).
The only two other things I have noted that were
'suspicious' were the lack of href attribute in the
jnlp element, and the fact that I am sometimes
getting slightly different URL's quoted (by the server)
for the address of the jar file. -

Solution would be easy ...like if the Essbase Agent is stopped using the services.msc (services panal)on Windows while a process is currently running, or if there has been an abnormal termination of the Essbase Agent, orphaned ESSSVR processes can be left. Shuting down the Essbase server using ESSCMD or MaxL then Check Task Manager confirm the ESSBASE.exe process later by this ESSSVR.exe processes should end if still NO then Do an "End Process" on any ESSSVR.exe process that is still running. Start the Essbase service and start the application.
ESSSVR.exe is process which keep application Alive (bad thing is if u have many applications running similarlly u have same numbe of ESSSVr .exe will be running in task master ..but u cant find out which one belongs to which application :( )
Reasons
looking at your error i can say , First of all you need to know what is Lock in EAS ? and what locks exist
(right-click on Essbase Servername, EDIT->LOCK and EDIT->LOCKED OBJECTS, and if your database/outline appears in there, unlock it.)
Check any antivirus- and backup software that may be scanning / running on your Essbase folders as that can lock the files and any ESSSVR process stays when the Essbase Agent is stopped
More over another chance of getting error is when you have you page and index files in different location and rest otl, rep.csc script in another drive .. usually while taking back up in OTL,csc drive u do get created index file and page file even u have page and index file in diffrent drive so doe to this u get this error unable to load database
Hope this give u some idea -
Unable to launch java web start
We have already devloped an application based on java web start. Most of the client machines, we try to install java web start and run the developed app, it works fine. For one of the clients machine, we have an issue with java web start itself, it does not startup and bring up the application manager. When you start java web start, it shows up the splash screen 'java web start 1.0.1' after some time, it vanishes and does not bring up the application manager. I have installed java web start 1.0.1_01 (build 04) installed on Windows 2000 Professional, by default that has installed JRE 1.3.1_04 also.
We verified the system, all the files being existing under c:\program files\java web start dir. And the JRE is also installed fine.
Couple of times we uninstalled, rebooted and installed.
Infact, we have even verified the file types for html, htm, which was set to msoffice, and we have changed to internet explorer. For jnlp file type it was already set to javaws.exe.
Can you please let me know what could be the problem.
Regards,
Nagarjuna Rao ChakkaThere's nothing to stop you installing 1.4 or even 1.4.2, it's the jnlp file that specifies which runtime version gets used to run your application - web start can be used to happily switch runtimes like this. You'll just need to have 1.4 and 1.3 installed on each machine. It's a good idea to upgrade the web start client as the old 1.0 version doesn't work at all well with Windows XP, it's structure of storing all the files in c:\program files works against the security restrictions built into XP.
Incidentally the config file you were looking for in under c:\program files\javaws\javaws.cfg, but this is different in later versions.
Your problem is most likely being caused by web start not being able to find the Java runtime version it was installed with, the client may well have installed a newer (or older) version of 1.3 which has broken the configuration.. another reason to upgrade is the old versions are very fragile in this respect; 1.4.2 can find installed runtimes far more dynamically. Fixing the config file above should get things working again, otherwise delete the .javaws directory in the user profile and re-start web start.
1.4.2 is the best at finding runtimes, but is marred by problems with the integration dialogs, locale always reported as en_US and some strange new behaviour with classloaders and malfunctioning auto installers.. jws 1.2 that comes with jre 1.4.1_x is far more reliable.

Hi.
The internet is a big, wonderful source of knowledge.
Here is a site that I found that will describe setting up a static IP.
http://homepage.mac.com/car1son/staticport_fwdstaticip.html
the pictures may be slightly different, and your Airport will be slightly different, but this is a concept that you can learn and adapt from these other sources.
the entire article is here:

Oh, look here's a specific OSX 10.4 page over at portforward.com
