Unable to locate and run the adobe flash player
Hi all,
I am able to down load adobe flash player. i reboot also . I have windows xp. But I am unable to see any adobe flash button in start menu. I am unabel to see and short cut on the desktop. How should I start adobe flash player?

Hello, are you using IE 8? Another person I have been trying to help described the manage add ons in the same way. I use IE6, so probably a little difference in the versions.
Well, then go to Tools>Internet Explorer>Settings>View Objects and see if you can find Shockwave Flash in the listings of Add ons. If you find it RIGHT click on it and a small window opens, click on Update, wait until finished, close windows, browsers and Reboot. See if this
makes a difference.
Did you go to this link www.adobe.com/software/flash/about and did Adobe confirm you have F.P. installed and show what version you have?
That site is what I used and was confirmed by Adobe that I have F.P. 10 Active X the latest version.
You didn't say, but What OS are you running and browser?

recently certain video or pictorial attachments to my e-mails be opened because the system requires the installation of the Adobe Flash player with Java plug-ins. The message also gives a link for installation. It appears to install but nothing really happens. Then the message advises that it will install automatically once security is uninstalled or when Firefox is off. Nothing seems to work. Please help. P.S. I recently also installed the Firefox 4.0 version also

After clicking Safari prompt box to "Download Flash..." , I'm linked to the Adobe Flash Player Download page. I click the "Download Now". The page advance to next page in the download process but then immediately goes black and nothing happens. System preferences firewall is off and apps are allowed from anywhere and in Safari other plug ins are allowed and cookies are not blocked and pop up windows are not blocked. Why won't Flash Player download?
Don't DL Flash from web sites. If you have Adobe Flash installed it should be in System Preferences and you can find the latest version and download from there.
If you are installing for the first time,this is where to DL it.

How to Disable the Adobe Flash Player and Reader Updates
Ok, For the last two months or so, I have been plagued by the Adobe Flash Player and Reader updater that will not go away. That's not the worst thing though: Somehow, someway, the Adobe updater subverts my entire windows 7 machine and makes itself the most important program on my system, stopping all other necessary functions. After I just turn it on, the updater will suspend all Windows operations in favor of the updater getting its message out the Adobe "needs" updating. I have tried updating the stupid thing, only to find that after the update goes in, my whole computer locks up and I have to load a system restore point. This thing acts like a virus, and until someone comes up with a way to make it work properly, that's what I'm calling: Adobe creates and sells a computer killing virus. I want a sure fire way to disable the updater that will work, and that will never bug me again about updating the virus. After going through three different computer repair companies, many online forums and chat rooms and my own knowledge of how to disable programs, I have instructed my firewall to block all attempts by Adobe to update. This has to stop.

I automatically upgraded to Firefox 6. Whenever I try to view a video on Vimeo I either am told that:
'The video cannot be played with my current setup' and to switch to a browser with native H.246 support or to install the Adobe Flash Player.
or
That no mobile version of the video exists.
I have the Flash player installed and have reinstalled it. I have also reinstalled Firefox 6.From what I can tell, the problem is not Silverlight, it is the flash plugin (10.3). I uninstalled and went back to FLASH 10.1 and Netflix, flash videos, flash based applications, etc all worked again on my brand new computer. Very unfortunate and frustrating.

How can i download the Adobe flash player 11?
I have tried downloading the adobe flash player 11 because if i dont have this i cant access the things I like doing on my computer. So i clicked on it and followed the indtructions but then it told me to close programs listed, so i did. After i did that it installed 50% then said error: applications running or something like that.All of my apps and things are not running, i have checked. Since updating to the latest version of Firefox the Adobe Flash player pop up continually pops up whether the page needs flash player or not. It even shows for a text page.
It is very annoyingYou can set the default in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" and change that for the Shockwave Flash plugin to "Always Activate".
You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
*Click the "[[Site Identity Button|Site Identity Button]]" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
*Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
*Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

that error mean i havent flash player on my pc
but i have because it will installed by default with adobe
flex builder, and flash cs3 on my pc, and im installed it from
adobe web site, and im installed it from cd

Problem is caused by version detaction javascript.
In AC_OETags.js file, there is ControlVersion() function.
Inside of that function,
axo = new ActiveXObject("ShockwaveFlash.ShockwaveFlash.7");
this line throw error with catching but do nothing.
So, overall javascript recognize flash player as version 2.0
and something.
I testd this on firefox 2.0.0.4 and IE 7.0.5730.11.
There are all Korean version and failed.
But Safri beta version for Window works fine.
This does not have any Korean version yet. That's why I
assume maybe
that's causing the problem.
So, I guess Adobe people will do something for this, but if
you want to
run it right now without this error message.
Easiest way is just turn off that Flash player version
detection in
project properties > Flex Complier > HTML wrapper.
Uncheck Require Flash player version.
Or edit your Javascript by yourself in
html-template>AC_OETags.js.

Hello All, Fisrs, forgive my English because I am Spanish.
I can think of something funny to me. I have installed the Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X and I have Explorer 8 ( 32 bits ) , Windows Vista home Premium and every day asking me to install the Flash Player.
Happens if install the same to Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.5, in the same version yo have.
I see that every day, if I look at the progras I have istalled , see this Adobe Flas Player ( active X or normal ) with a blanc icon, not the typical figure of the program.
Not to do so the program gets installed forever. When yo reinstall it and the icon's own sotware.
I really apreciate it that I help them see than hapening and how I can solve. Thank you very match.

And then run the Flash every day . Which I can only do so by accessing or a websit that you ask me, give OK when it asks me to activate the Active X and contiunue the process because if not, would have to install it each time since the Adobe web site.
