APDivs were never a good or sensible way to make primary layouts. Today, they are downright impossible in Responsive web designs because content in APDivs is removed from the normal document flow. See links below for further details on why APDivs should be avoided.

Unable to draw AP Div from Insert Panel as described in Tutorial "Classroom: Basic Site Layout and Navigation in Dreamweaver"

I tried to perform the draw AP Div from the Insert Panel as described within the Tutorial "Classroom: Basic Site Layout and Navigation in Dreamweaver" but that option isn't available/visible from my most recent update t Dreamweaver CC. The only thing noticeable is that the instructor is using a Mac version of the software. Help!

I just downloaded CS6 and the doucmentation says I should have HTML5 Video as an option under Insert Media and I do not. why?

I just downloaded CS6 because the website said I could link to .mp4 videos with the new features. I did not download the CC because I was told by support that it is the same as CS6 but you would be billed monthly. I was following the instructions to Embed video in HTML5 and I followed all the steps until the step for Insert - Video and select HTML5 Video. My software does not have this option. No need to duplicate replies. This is a web forum so replies are seen by everyone.
The plain hard truth is CS6 on perpetual license is not the same software as CS6 on the Creative Cloud. Version 12 will never get new bells & whistles added to it. But 4 months after CS6 came out, the Cloud version received 2 significant upgrades that totally changed the software from what you have. This fact frustrated many Cloud users who were trying to learn CS6 from text books that were rendered obsolete by Cloud upgrades. Anyway, it was a very confusing time for everyone. And that's why there are 2 versions of CS6.

The options under privacy panel allow no choices on cookies e.g. blocking 3rd party cookies. how can I block 3rd party cookies?

On another computer, I have a different layout on privacy panel with options to block 3rd party cookies. I run the same systems as indicated above.

At the top of the privacy panel, choose "Use custom settings for history", and you will then be able to set the cookie settings however you like them.

Where is the structure option under the insert tab in Dreamweaver?

I was watching the tutorial of Mike Powers for the Bayside Website and he continually uses the structure option under the insert tab. I can not find where this is at in all of Dreamweaver. Does anyone know where this is at?

It is the second video down. At about 1:03 he will talk about selecting the structure option and I really want to because it looks extremely helpful!

No library panel option under windows menu PC signed in to cloud

I have photoshop at home and work I want to use shape captured on my ipad noticed no library panel option under windows menu.
in general Cloud, Bridge andLlibraries confuse me obviously not the same but after viewing tutorials more confused.

Unable to locate Subscriptions under settings

Hello
I contacted apple the other day to help me with stopping a subscription paid via the itunes store.
I have follow there guidance, however i have become stuck at this point.
Settings subheading, click on "Manage" beside Subscriptions (Note: Number of subscriptions is displayed here)  4. Displayed will be all of the active subscriptions (iOS and Mac App Store subscriptions as well)
I am able to locate settings and manage but there is no word subscriptions on the page. Where else could it been?
Help I am becoming frustrated with it all.

CS3 Design Standard - Unable deactivate on OLD PC in order to activate on NEW PC. Deactivate is not an option under HELP

I have read the guidelines to deactivate CS3 on old PC before being able to re-activate on NEW PC. However in my CS3 there is no 'deactivate' option under HELP. Had chat with Adobe Tech Support, and they confirmed I should uninstall CS3 from old PC and then it could be re-activated on NEW PC. This has now been done - however still same error message, that need to deactivate on old PC (which no longer has CS installed!). Anybody been through same ordeal?

ATV2 Connected with HDMI for video and fiber optics for Sound but unable to located the fiber optics option in ATV2

hello everyone, I currently have my ATV2 connected from HDMI to my TV for Audio&Video but I want to run just my HDMI for Video and my Fiber optics cable for my Sound. I am unable to locate in the settings where I can change my sound to Fiber optics output.

ok so I figured it out.. I just needed to go into my surround sound and select optical out.

I cannot locate the navigation tab in the insert panel.

Part 2 of the turtorial instructs to " cick on Navigation in the insert panel" I don't see it there.

In the App Store click on Mountain Lion.
Where it says $19.99 click on that and the button will turn to Buy.

Unable to locate "Find a file box" under SharePoint 2013 Directory

I am unable to locate the Find a file box in SharePoint Foundation 2013, With reference of another similar post i tried to find the upgrades available with foundation 2013 but i did not find any available updates in Foundation 2013 Central Administration.
Can any one please inform me how can I enable this find a file box?

That functionality isn't available in Foundation. You have to have SharePoint Server. Not sure why it isn't in Foundation, but I've checked in the past and its not available and there is no way to turn it on.

Unable to find PanelPage option in ADF Faces core...

Hi,
Am trying to come up with SRDemo application for 11g and am following the tutorial provided for 10g in the site. I am encountering various problems as I am working with 11g. One of the problems is that am not able to find "Panel Page" option under ADF Faces core or anywhere. I have included the ADF Faces components 11-ji3 lib. Secondly, I was unable to locate JSF JSP option in JSF Gallery and have went on to create a template using JSF Template dialogue. Any solution to this?

the panelPage component is no longer around. Using a template to mimic this layout is the right approach to take.

Murray, I'm going to get cranky here.
When using AP Divs in concert with Flash and also in concert with Spry and other Javascript, you certainly do have to put them on the page in the right order or your Spry menus will not fall over your AP Divs in visually-appropriate layering. This makes them tricky.
The mantra that an AP Div is absolutely positioned relative to its containing element flies out the window in such situations. To be clear, one must re-think which containing element one is using...it doesn't not work...and the solution is to change one's thinking in terms of which containing element to use.
I have recently worked (and worked and worked) on getting such a page to function the same in all browsers. So you can't tell me that they all render the same, because they do not. Ultimately, they did, but mainly because I changed my code.
It is very possible that you have successfully internalized the order in which it is necessary to make things work from the very beginning (Good for you!) or you have heeded the generally trumpeted call to not use AP Divs. In constructing this particular page (a page with a large background image over which must be located numerous other bits, including a Spry Menu Bar), I worked from the top down as I usually do, and "top down" (top of the viewport from header to footer) is not always the same as "picture plane out" in stacking order.
Every browser except the Microsoft browsers must be reading my mind and my assigned z-order, and interpreting stacking as I do, as I work from the top down. Microsoft insists that APDivs that will later be expected to "lie down" under Spry Menus and so forth be coded and loaded BEFORE those Spry Menus show up.
So as I worked, I converted some of the AP Divs (conveniently positioned, but ultimately unworkable because of IE) to Relative Divs. It is not a system I use frequently, and it is not my usual system, and it is not the system I would necessarily recommend, but it is possible as a solution to an untenable situation.
Such is my experience, decidedly on a shorter calendar than yours, but there it is.

Where is "Structure" under Insert in Dreamweaver, I can only see "Layout"?

Can anyone tell me why I cannot see the menu with Structure under Insert in Dreamweaver, and can only see one with Layout? Any help appreciated on this. I am trying to follow the Dreamweaver tutorial "Make your first website", and am stuck on "Create the page structure" (Part 2)- as the drop down menus in the online tutorial are different to those on the Dreamweaver site that I can see on my Mac OS X 10.6.8
The tutorial instructs to find Structure in Insert but I can only see a function labelled Layout.
I managed to find a way of locating 'div' but there is not a Header in the drop down menu in Insert.
There is a list of Spry options but these are quite different to the list given in the tutorial.
Please can anyone help with pointing to where I can find the function to make a Header (as it is called in the tutorial).

Layout and Structure are the same tab (Category). Layout was renamed to Structure after CS6 if I'm not mistaken. See below:
