I originally downloaded the Express versions of VS2012, for web and desktop, but later got the Professional version. I have been able to uninstall Express 2012 for Web successfully, but when I attempt to uninstall Express 2012 for Desktop, I get this error:
    Unable to locate package source
Please provide a location to search for the packages:
    D:\packages\Preparation.exe
    I do not have a D: drive, and I don't see a c:\packages folder.
    How to proceed?
    Thanks

  • What is the best practice for package source locations?

I have several remote servers (about 16) that are being utilized as file servers that have many binaries on them to be used by users and remote site admins for content. Can I have SCCM just use these pre-existing locations as package sources, or is this
    not considered best practice?
    Or
Should I create just one package source within close proximity to the Site Server, or on the Site Server itself?
    Thanks

The primary site server is responsible for grabbing the source data and turning it into packages for Distribution points.  so while you can use ANY UNC to be a source location for content, you should be aware of where that content exists in regards
to your primary site server.  If your source content is in Montana but your primary server is in California ... there's going to be a WAN hit ... even if the DP it's destined for is also in Montana.
Second, I strongly recommend locking down your source UNC path so that only the servers and SCCM admins can access it.  This will prevent side-loading of content  as well as any "accidental changing" of folder structure that could cause
    your applications/packages to go crazy.
Put the two together and I typically recommend you create a DSL (distributed source library) share and slowly migrate all your content into it as you create your packages/applications.  You can then safely create batch installers, manage content versions,
and other things without fear of someone running something out of context.

  • CS3 - "Unable to locate or parse the XML source"

    Hello,
When I try and attach a remote XML source to my XSL fragment,
    Dreamweaver
CS3 tells me "Unable to locate or parse the XML source".
This happens irrespective of where the remote XML file is
    located, and for
all the remote XML files that I have found and tested from a
    myriad of
different sources - I always get the same response.
I can download any of these XML files and work with them
    locally, which
Dreamweaver is quite happy to do, but that isn't appropriate
    for an
application that needs to rely on an XML feed that is always
    up to date!
From searching Google I can find numerous other queries of
    this nature, but
no solutions! I am not sure if it is a Dreamweaver problem,
    or related to
the type of web server I'm using or indeed to the corporate
    firewall here.
For clarity, only Dreamweaver can't locate the remote XML
    sources - pasted
into a browser they are all perfectly valid.
(Apologies for sort of cross posting, I have already asked
    this question
    slightly differently on macromedia.dreamweaver)
    Cheers,
    D.

Kelli, I know this is months late for you.. but I get the
same error.. I found if I downloaded the xml locally I was able to
set up my xsl page. After I got the page to look the way I wanted I
switch the source to the external URL.
If you have found a fix for the error please let me know,
other then that this way will work.

  • Unable to Locate or Parse the XML source

I've just started playing around with Dreamweaver 8 and I'm

    http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_law.rss)
I get an error message in the bindings area where the XML structure
should be displaying that says "Unable to locate or parse the XML

  • JAXB: Unable to locate jaxb.properties for package com.globalrefund.jaxb

When I package my classes into a jar and try to run my app with
    java -jar myapp.jar
I get "Unable to locate jaxb.properties for package com.globalrefund.jaxb"
Everything works fine when I run my app by setting the classpath followed by "java com.globalrefund.MainClass".
"jaxb.properties" is in the jar in the directory "com.globalrefund.jaxb". I use JRE 1.4.1.
    What's wrong?
    Regards,
    Bernhard

    a little additional info:
It works when I put jaxb.properties in the directory com.globalrefund.jaxb and let classpath point to the root of the directory structure.
If I create a jar containing exactly the same directory structure and add the jar to the classpath it does not work.
Looks like JAXB cannot read jaxb.properties from a jar?!
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • HT1925 unable to locate installation package itunes.msi to delete itunes, any suggestions on how else to delete itunes???

I am unable to delete itunes from my computer due to unable to locate installation package itunes.msi. I do not have this file on my computer, can anybody tell me how to delete itunes from my computer??

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • AS3 package source - location?

How can I access the core package source files?
    ex : flash.events.Event class; flash.display.MovieClip
    Where are these packages?!!!
I'm using Adobe Flash Profeesional CS4 and CS5.
ActionScript 3 Library Path under Publish Setting says : "$(AppConfig)/ActionScript 3.0/libs"
    There I find : "flex.swc"
Is there anywhere I can download the pre-compiled core packages?
Please be specific, as the Flex support site has many downloads and little high-level documentation.
    Thank you.

They are bulit into the VM, and thus there is no source code.

  • [SOLVED] can't compile grass "Unable to locate includes."

    Hello everybody!
I am somewhat stuck at getting QGIS up and running as I am not able to compile grass (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/grass/).
System is up-to-date Arch64 running 3.8.6-3-ck. I used cower to get the source-files and PKGBUILD from AUR.
    makepkg is throwing:
    checking for curses.h... no
configure: error: *** Unable to locate curses includes.
curses is of course installed and in /usr/include where it is supposed to be. After unsuccessfully fiddling around for a while I disabled curses-support in the PKGBUILD file (--without-curses) which got me as far as the zlib includes:
    checking for zlib.h... no
configure: error: *** Unable to locate zlib includes.
Trying grass7svn got me stuck with the same problems.
If anyone could point me into a direction I would greatly appreciate it.
    Many thanks in advance!
    a
The full output of makepkg (with and without curses) as well as the respective config.log files can be found here: https://gist.github.com/attractedtofire/5345416

Thanks brebs, I will look into that tomorrow!
Funny enough I got grass to get through "./configure" manually with the exact same settings from the PKGBUILD, namely:
    ./configure --prefix=/opt --enable-64bit --enable-W11 --with-jpg --with-tiff --with-png --with-tcltk --with-opengl --with-fftw --with-postgres --with-freetype --with-freetype-includes=/usr/include/freetype2 --without-glw --with-nls --with-gdal --with-geos --with-proj-includes=/usr/include --with-proj-libs=/usr/lib --with-proj-share=/usr/share/proj --with-python=/usr/bin/python2-config --with-wxwidgets=/usr/bin/wx-config
Ran through makepkg, which - as far as I understand from the PKGBUILD - does exactly the same, it throws up aforementioned configure-errors.
I eventually ran ./configure and make, went back to the PKGBUILD, removed the build()-section and used makepkg just to turn the compiled source code into a pkg-file. It installed without a problem, will see if it works once qgis finished compiling.
Anyway, I'd really like to understand what is the problem..

  • Unable to locate printer. Brother MFC-J200 CUPS

Hi, I installed cups and the printer's drivers and I can configure the printer. But, when I try to make print the test page, I get this error: Unable to locate printer BRW9CD21E90F93E.local". and I looked in the wiki and on different forums, tried different methods to solve this but I still can't print anything because it can't locate it. Anyone knows how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

You're not going to find that file. That's BRW + 12 digit hex code + .local. The hex code is likely random for each print job. It was likely never created in the first place.
That PKGBUILD has a bunch of errors. Ask the maintainer to fix it. If you would like to be able to discuss the package intelligently you can compare it with my PKGBUILD for the brother-mfc-j870dw. Here are some of the more glaring errors.
    * The cupswrapper generator can be run in build() which eliminates the install and the forgotten uninstall.
    * No uninstall section as found in the debian package. My package was able get pacman to do all the work and do away with the install completely.
    * Allows the installer to run the init scripts. Fortunately they aren't there anyways. cups doesn't need restarting to see new printers.
    * Left in the installer that modifies /etc/printcap and fixed it to use /etc/printcap. I see the word .local here so this might be the source of your error.
    * ldd shows that the executables do not use libstdc++5. No go for 64 bit users unless the 32 bit v6 is already installed.
    * The RPM is no better or worse than the DEB, except that RPM is directly supported by pacman and does not require yet another AUR download.
    * Forgot dependency on ghostscript
    * || return 1 should be removed. makepkg always has this flag set. This PKGBUILD must be ancient.
There's probably more but I'd need to fix the PKGBUILD to find them all. I'm fortunate that I started with a much better PKGBUILD than this one.
