Unable to log into App Store

Just purchased by new MacBook Air this week.
I loaded up the App store and went to sign in with my apple id and password. When I submitted the information, it gave me this notice.
Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance.
So what should be my next step in trying to fix this? I'm able to log into my iPad mini's app store with the same Apple ID and password
and I have ZERO problems. So why doesn't the App Store work on my new MacBook Air?

well you can go onto the icloud website and use the email and password you use on the app store and try to login in with that because its the same one for the app store. if that doesnt work you have been either using the wrong password or the wrong email

  • Logging into app store

    Hey all.
Since downloading my iphone4 with new updates about 2 months ago I have not been able to sign into my app store. It is either saying my password is incorrect or "an unknown error has occurred". I have reset my appleID password so many times yet still having this problem. I have tried turning my phone off and on again etc.
Weird thing is, is when I log in onto the apple website it works..
Please help. Just want to be able to add some new apps to my phone.
    Thanks....

Just did as you said Razmee209. I tried to sign in using the same log
In details and the message.... "cannot connect to iTunes store" came up. Grrr...
Any other options? Throw my phone out the window?

I tried logging out and into the app store through the settings but after logging out I now can't log in there anymore.

  • Can't log into App store

I am having trouble logging into the app store on my iPod Touch 2G. I have the current OS 4.2.1 and have even tried resetting my password, I keep getting the message that "The Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password is incorrect. Please try again."
I am using my correct Apple ID and Password. Any help would be very appreciated, I have updates I am trying to get and app purchases I'd like to make.

Well that didn't seem to help at first, but then I started to log in as a different name and back to my existing account. That apparently took care of the problem, this time. Thanks for your help.

  • Unable to log into itunes store (0x80092013) and update problems

I am having problems logging into the itunes store using itunes 10.6.0.40 in Wndows 7 in the uk  which results in the error message shown below:
'We could not complete your itunes store request.  An unknown error occurred (0x80092013).  There was an error in the itunes store please try again later"
However, I am able to browse the itunes store without any problems (this does not require logging in).
In addition selecting the menu item Help > Check for updates in itunes results in the message "The itunes server could not be contacted.  Please check your internet connection or try again later'
I also have two ipods and an ipad and clicking on the <Check For Update> button on each of them within itunes results in the error message "The ipod update server could not be contacted.  Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connectivity is active or try again later".
In trying to fix the above problems I have tried the following:
    Re-installed itunes
    Ran ipconfig /flushdns
Changed my dns entries to use dynamic dns entries and also tried googles settings (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)
Put entries in the hosts file for gs.apple.com etc
Reset the winsock using the command netsh winsock reset
Turned Norton smart firewall off completely
Ensured interent settings were set to 'Check for server certificate revocation' was unticked and "SSL 3.0" and "TLS 1.0." were both ticked
General internet connectivity is working fine it is just itunes where the problems are.
I can also log onto the itunes store from the ipad itself without a problem.
I also have a Windows Vista laptop which can connect to the itunes store without a problem and can also run the menu item Help > Check for updates and results in a message saying itunes is the latest version.  This also runs Norton Smart Firewall and is having no problems.  So I am assuming from this that my setup is not at fault and it is not an isp issue.
I have also noticed that a number of other people are reporting problems logging into the itunes store and also error 0x80092013.
The results of an itunes diagnostic test (Help > Run Diagnostics) are shown below (this shows that the itunes store can be browsed but attempts at prurchasing etc cannot be completed)

I have spoken directly with Apple over the last couple of hours.  They are aware of the problem and are going to ask their engineering department to investigate.  It is perhaps not a big priority at the moment as they say they only have 30 confirmed reports of the issue worldwide.
Is it possible that there are other people who are having the same problem and are watching the forums waiting for answers?  If so, please report the problem.  This is the only way for Apple to understand the scale of the problem (if indeed it is a big problem) and to be able to escalate the issue and allocate suitable resources.  The issue we are seeing is:
I mentioned what you said about downgrading - I have also contemplated this but I am expecting I will need to run 10.6 for HD media and syncing with the new iPad.  Apple agree downgrading is not an acceptable solution, and there must be a way forward, but if you dont need 10.6 then why not downgrade until the problems are resolved.
My take on the problem is this:
The error code is the same as a Windows error code that suggests the issue is with accessing the certificate revovation lists (CRL).  iTunes 10.6 is a signed application that needs to access a CRL to determine whether its certificate is still active.   iTunes own diagnostic tool points in the same direction too.  The network connectivity test (see image below) shows the network interface and internet connection are fine.  It is just the secure link that is failing.  It is possible to view the apple store, and download podcasts etc.. but it is not possible to sign into an account or make purchases.
One person has replied to many of these postings suggesting the problem can be fixed by updating DNS settings, which could add weight to this theory.  The person who posted this didnt explain why this worked for them, but if DNS settings have not propogated fully for a new CRL this could be causing problems for some users.  If so this could just fix itself in the coming days, or it may work if you can connect to the internet from a different connection like a public wifi hotspot.
I will post updates if I get anywhere or hear anything back from Apple.

  • When trying to log into App Store my keyboard does not come up and it asks me to paste password!

It won't let me log in...because it ask me to paste my password...I have no idea why it just started doing this!

Quit the App Store app and reset the iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • IPhone 4s, updated, won't log into App Store

I updated my phone, I updated itunes on my computer. Current versions all over the place.
I was trying to update my apps via my iphone itself and noticed the App Store ID is my father in laws ID, but the itunes still has my ID.
We do not share ID's, our ID's are not linked on account. These are all the things I have attempted to correct the issue:
I have attempted to restore from old version, does not work.
I have logged off via the Settings>iTunes & App Store but when I try to log in it hangs, freezes and won't let me sign in.  It will let me login via itunes app on the phone but it does not update the app store login on the phone.  I have also closed all background apps, rebooted my phone and attempted the login via settings>itunes and app store again. No dice.
I have gone to the apple ID website and made sure my ID does not have his ID or email linked to mine.
When I try to update or sync my iphone with my computer itunes it gets hung up on Step 7 of 7.
I do not know what else to do at this point. TYIA for your help.

You could try in iTunes>Edition to select "Give authorization to this computer" and insert your account details (password, username, etc.) Then, syncing again your device. Also, form the iTunes Store try logging out from your sister's account.

  • Why does Passport not allow you to log into App Store

Since the iOS6 update.   When ever I open the App Store and gets the message I can not connect.   I then try and get into the app store after opening passport and get the same message for both App Store and ITunes.???   Am i doing something wrong ??

Go to the Date & Time settings (General > Date & Time) and turn Set Auto to OFF, then change the date to a couple months ahead of now, say December 2012.  Go back to passbook and it should work normally.  Then change the Date & Time back to auto and you are set.  This fixed my issue like this and it's been ok every since.

  • Unable to log into App World - Error message 80002

I am unable to access my app world. I have uninstalled and re-installed the app to no avail. I get the error message " The software upgrade was interrupted. Please try again."

Seems my BB has a mind of it's own. The removing/reinstalling didn't solve the problem.
Do you mean removing/reinstalling the Identity App on your BB? Or AppWorld itself? Or both perhaps? One of the above KBs is specifically about removing/reinstalling the Identity App...and that's the one that normally cures this.

I tried following your "Homescreen > Options > Device > BlackBerry ID" but I don't have a selection for "Device". is there another option? I have the Bold 9700
Oh...that's probably because you are way behind, still on OS 5 on your BB...Rogers currently supports 6.0.0.666, and the menu structures are totally different moving from OS5 to 6, and again to 7 (though I don't think your BB model can support OS7). For OS 5, I think the command string is Homescreen > Options > BlackBerry ID
    Mangoe wrote:
How do I access BBID on my pc? Not sure if that will help, but would love to try...lol! Anything at this point.
From a PC/browser, go to AppWorld (www.blackberry.com/appworld). At the top right will be a "Sign In" link...click that and it takes you to the BB ID login.

I have the same IT policy on my phone as i did when it got the phone. it has never prevented me from accessing AppWorld, or anything else for that matter. Not sure how to tell if "Stealth" is getting in the way.
So, your BB is part of a BES environment? It may be that AppWorld worked OK before, but that there's something in the IT Policy that is blocking this update...you should check with your BES admins to be sure.
As for "stealth"...that's the whole point...a stealth IT Policy cannot be seen, other than it's effect on trying to do things on the BB. "Normal" IT Policies can be seen:
