User Accounts
For Prime Collaboration, you will be required to specify various passwords at different instances. This section is designed to help you specify appropriate passwords in several scenarios that demand your login credentials (applicable for both converged application as well as standalone Prime Collaboration Assurance and Prime Collaboration Provisioning applications).
globaladmin- is a superuser who can access both Prime Collaboration Assurance and Prime Collaboration Provisioning UI.
globaladmin password- specify this password when you configure your virtual appliance for either standalone or converged application. See Configuring the Prime Collaboration Assurance Virtual Appliance and Configuring the Prime Collaboration Provisioning Virtual Appliance. You are also required to specify this password when you login to the UI (see the Password Rules for root user and globaladmin section)

  • Unable to login cisco NSS 322

    Hi,
We recently installed the smart storage nss322 and update the firmware to latest version (NSS322_FW_1.4.0.7).
Was configured with static IP network adress, network load balancing (with the second NIC), SSL access, was joined to domain, connected to AD for user access control to folders and only the sharing service was active, the rest is disabled (web, ftp, etc), basically because we use it to backup the network data. The rest of options have the default basic configuration. The Storage is operating and we can access to it from the network, write, read and delete files. The IP is alive and we can pinging without problems.
Suddenly, we cannot login into storage using web browser secure port.
When enter to the login screen, and insert user and password for the administrator user, the storage always ask to change the password (with any user from NAS or AD).
    Username:
    Password:
    Application:
    Administration
    Language:
    EnglishDeutschEspañolFrançaisItaliano日本語
    SSL login
    LOGIN
In the change password screen, we filled all the fields:
    Change Password
To change your password, please fill out the form below:
    Old Password
    New Password
    Verify New Password
and no matter the password that we write, we always receive the next message:
    Update failed
Click "Go Back" to go back to the change password page.
And we cannot enter to administration panel.
    So someone can help us?
Regards for all that want help us.

    Patrico,
I like to add more details into this area. You can do as jason recommended to recovery the local administration password. However, there are two screen I can described as follow:
    1. NSS Login screen: The NSS GUI only allowed the local account with admistration privilege to access and manage NAS's GUI. AD or NIS administration privilege is not as same as the local account. These account are not allowed to access the NSS GUI.  There are two conditions that user will observed with login.
    a. Invalid user account (username is no match with database): there is no account under that username in the database for local account, AD domain, or NIS domain. The GUI screen will give user the error message (red text above the username field)
    b. Valid user account: any user account with administration privilege for local account can access to the NAS GUI. Any user account came from AD and NIS domain, included administration privilege in the domain, will redirected to the changed password screen.
    2. Screen to change to a new password:
    - This screen only changed the password for local user. The concept is for any user who access to the share/folder with their own password.
    - Any user account imported from AD or NIS server will failed to change to new password due to another level of security at the main AD or NIS server. In this case, it required the IT person to change the password at the server location.
Bottom line, the screen to change to a new password is intended for local user who wanted a new password for access folders/shares via FTP, Samba, NFS for that user account.
    Hope that helps!
    Thanks,
    -Clint

  • Cisco Prime DCNM 6.1(2) - Login to webinterface fails

Hi, we are having trouble logging into the webinterface of our DCNM installation.
    (Cisco Prime DCNM 6.1(2), Windows 2008 R2 SP1 64  bit version, US)
Everything seems to be working fine so far, except the login to the webinterface.
When  calling https://<SERVER_IP> (we're using 443 and 8443 in our  setup), the login page appears. Entering the credentials results in the  message "Authentication Failed. Please try again.". We tried that from a  remote machine and the server itself and are using local authentication (not RADIUS or LDAP, ...).

I have the same issue on a new install. I just deployed DCNM 7.0.2 from the OVA file downloaded directly from Cisco. I can ssh into the box using the root password set, but cannot log in to the web interface. I get the same Authentication Failed. Please try again.  message. I tried updating the password using appmgr add_user xmpp -u admin -p <password> but that didn't work either. I have just opened a TAC case to see what might be the issue.

  • Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 - /cwportal/group/lms/lms not found error after login

    After upgrading the MDF (Common Services) and the device packages on our Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 installation we now get an error after logging in. The error is as follows;
    Status
Not Found The requested resource was not found.
    https://X.X.X.X/cwportal/group/lms/lms
The top of the page is the normal menu and anything we choose there works fine so we only see this just after logging in to CiscoWorks.
Has anyone experienced this problem or do you have any idea what might be causing it?
The installation is running on a Cisco appliance.
    kind regards,
    Michel

It's being access from a client using Internet Explorer 8 (which is what I'm forced to use due to company policy) by access the DNS name of the ciscoworks server and logging in.. It worked previous to installing the patches so I'm not exactly sure what has happened. I'll try to get another PC to test from though to see if it's something to do with my browser or PC.
If I add -configuration to the url it works just fine.

  • Cisco Agent Desktop, unable to login

I have a new installation of UCCX 8.0.2 SU3 HA and twice now it has been reported that in the morning agents are unable to login to CAD, the error they receive is "Initialization Failed. Please try again or try restarting the application."
The only thing I have found in each situation was to re-start the UCCX engine on the master server. If I am running realtime reports I also see "not connected" when trying to look at resources, CSQs or overall UCCX stats. Once the engine has been restarted agents login fine and real time reports shows "fully connected"
Has anyone experienced this before and know of a way to prevent this from happening?
    Thank you,
    Steve

    Hi Everyone,
I experienced the same issue today on UCCX 8.0 SU3. All the agents were getting Initialization Failed error.
I restared the UCCX engine on both the servers and agents are able to login now. I am interested in finding out the root cause and a permanent fix for it.
Has anyone found a solution to it?
I could find the following but matching the problem description but it's in TERMINATED state and moreover I am on MCS and not on VMware.
    CSCtf34095 Bug Details
UCCX CAD agent not able to login when using C-series server

  • Cisco Prime unable to connect to TAC Service Requests

Always had the problem, but now decided to mess around with it.
When I try to get Cisco Prime 4.1 to connect to TAC Service Request I get the following error....
"There was an error while fetching the list of TAC Service Requests: String index out of range: -1"
I am able to download IOSs and other software with Prime, just not able to connect to TAC.
    Thanks

    Hi Marco,
actually it took me quite a long time to understand what the problem was. I found that on my CISCO AP i had to put "payload-encapsulation dot1h" on the radio interface to get the WIP310 communicate with the AP.
By the way It seems to me that the phone is a little buggy from the wireless point of view. Sometimes i have to try several times before getting the phone connected to the AP. Once the phone gets connected it's pretty stable, but getting it connected it's a nightmare :-)
Try with the above ption if you have a Cisco AP. Also try different channels on the AP...it might help
    Hope this will help you
    regards
    Nicola

  • Cisco Prime 2.0 - CLI credential

    Hi PI Experts,
Is CLI credential mandatory on Cisco Prime?
What would happen if no dedicated CLI credential were configured on Prime to access Cisco network devices?
Right now we use TACACS+ to login to Cisco switches and routers and use Radius to login to PI.
However, our security policy prevents us from either creating a AD account on AD servers or creating a local TACACS+ user account on ACS server for PI appliance.
So, when we do device discovery, if we want to use SSH/Telnet, we need to put in our own AD user credentials, then remove them after the discovery is done.
    Thanks
    Cedar

    Hi Ceder,
What would happen if no dedicated CLI credential were configured on Prime to access Cisco network devices?
why Telenet credentilas are required :
    Telnet Credential
you can specify the Telnet credentials during discovery so that Prime  Infrastructure can collect the device configurations and fully manage  the devices. If you do not specify Telnet credentials in the discovery  settings, Prime Infrastructure discovers the devices but is unable to  manage the device until you specify the Telnet credentials.
In  case you are using SSH  on your devices:
    SSH Credential
For full device support via SSH, you must use SSHv2 with a 1024 bit key. You can configure SSH before running discovery.
Telnet\SSH , credentilas would be required later on as well to Fetch the config , to push any template on the device etc..
    Thanks-
    Afroz

  • Unable to login with Jabber Windows

    Hi ,
Am unable to login the Jabber Windows Client. Getting the error as "Unable to Communicate With the Server".
Able to login with CUPS & CUCM end user page. CUCM Integrated with LDAP.
While going through the UP Profile logs seen that "Failed to SOAP login".
Tried with restart of CUCM & CUPS several times but no go.
    CUCM Version - 8.6.2
    CUPS Version - 8.6.1
Tried with CUPC client result also same.
    Thanks in Advance

If credentials work on CCMuser CUPSuser I would suspect either some kind of communication problem between the clients and the servers and/or misconfiguration (user/device/line association, device owner, roles, CTI/CCMCIP profiles, etc) on CUCM/CUPS.
Specially because you mention the same happens with CUPC.

  • User Name and Password for Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.1

    Hi all:
I am stuck at the login page of Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.1.
I have tried using the user name root and its password (when log in with root at Vsphere Client) and also the login user name "before" get into the appliance infrastructure, all cannot work.
Anybody knows what is the default username or password or any way to set the username and password for this Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.1 website?
    Thanks!
    tangsuan

    Hi Tangsuan,
Following is the documented procedure for password recovery..
In order to modify the GUI root user password, you will need to login to the NCS CLI
as an admin user, and enter the command
"ncs password root password <new password>" (without the quotes)
This should set the web interface root user password :
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/ncs/1.1/configuration/guide/manag.html#wp1268889
If you have lost your CLI password , try the default logging that is  ,
CLI user is admin and not root, so please try logging in as admin with
the password that was set during setup. If that does not work , you need
the install disk that came with the appliance to recover that password.
    Follow these steps:
    Recovering a Lost Admin Password
If you lose or forget the admin password for NCS appliance, follow these steps.
Step 1 Reboot the NCS appliance with the ISO DVD inserted. The Cisco Prime Network Control
    System Welcome screen appears:
    ISOLINUX 3.11 2005-09-02  Copyright (C) 1994-2005 H. Peter Anvin
Welcome to Cisco Prime Network Control System
To boot from hard disk, press <Enter>.
    Available boot options:
[1] Network Control System Installation (Keyboard/Monitor)
[2] Network Control System Installation (Serial Console)
       [3] Recover administrator password. (Keyboard/Monitor)
[4] Recover administrator password. (Serial Console)
<Enter> Boot existing OS from Hard Disk.
Enter boot option and press <return>.
    boot:
Step 2 Select the desired recovery option, 3 or 4, depending on how you
are connected to the appliance and then follow the prompts.
    Thanks-

  • CAD Agent Unable to Login due PGUser Association in CUCM

Hi all, hope everyone is well.
I am running a UCCE 7.5.8 environment with CAD 7.5.8 and CUCM 7.1.3 I am having some CAD agent suddenly unable to login to CAD due the following error "An unknow failure was receved from the Cisco Unified Communication Manager. You may have entered an incorrect ID, password, or extension. Verify your entries are correct and try again."
The fix is to dis-associate and re-associate the device with the PGUser in CUCM even though the device shows it's already associated with the PGUser. Has anyone run into this issue ? I am trying to understand the root cause.
Thanks all in advance !! I appreciate any inputs / suggestions !!
    Danny

    Hi,
yes, unfortunately, I have seen this many times working with the ICM 7.x or 7.5.x release train. Always talked to TAC, always installed an ES, but somehow, mystically, the problem went away when upgraded to ICM 8.0(x).
    Looks like a design flaw.
Did you talk to TAC yet?

    Any ideas ?

    Hi Ben:
There are .iso images for both Prime Infrastructure 1.2.1 and the current release, Prime Infrastructure 1.3.0.20 that can be downloaded and burned to a Dual Layer DVD (in a Dual Layer DVD burner) and used to reimage the physical appliance with.  These physical appliances shipped from a factory with a hard drive that has magnetic  representations of 0 and 1 on it, it's entirely possible something  happened to something to the data in transit.  Reimaging puts everything back to square one and completely rules out the  possibility of anything being corrupted.
Once it's running again, be sure to check out and install the Update 1 patch for Prime Infrastructure 1.3.0.20 (filename PI_1.3.0.20_Update_1-12.tar.gz).
