Login to Design Console not working
Login to OIM url is working fine. OIM is 11gR2 version.
However, login to Design Console is giving a "Change Password" window for xelsysadm user login from windows client (but login is ok on local OIM host).
I have reset password and logged in via OIM urls fine. Again login to Design Console is giving "Change Password" screen.
Has anyone noticed this behavior? There is no cancel button available. The small window that pop ups has three fields- one comes up with xelsysadm and the two fields or text area for Password and confirm password. There is no cancel button and trying to cancel the window does not work. Just FYI, am logging into the host after 2 months or so. It was working fine earlier. Thanks for your suggestion, any other ideas please post.

Auto login in Design console in OIM
I want to know the changes to be done so that I can auto login to xelsysadm when using design console in OIM 9.1.0.2
Any help appreciatedWhat do you mean by auto login?
Do you want to implement Integrated windows authentication in OIM Design console. If yes, then I don't think it's possible.
Post your requirement here so that ppl can help you out. -

Hi ,
I have installed server and client components on different machines. My
repository database also on server machine. I successfully created the
repository. From client system I can login the central management
console also . But when I am trying to login the designer I am getting
the below error login failed to specific systems.
I am using SAP Data Services 4.2.2
Please find the below screenshots and help me to resolve this issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Venkata Ramana PaidiHi Venkata,
Can you please check the below points regarding your query:
All Specific Ports are Open or not (Related to SAP Business Objects Application ,SAP BODS 4.0 and Database)
Ping the database sever name using the command line in the designer machine
Though you logged in, the user may not have privileges to access DB.
Try to telnet the CMS Port, database port, telnet <serverip><serverPort>, if no issues then no problem.
Last but not the least (it happened to me) check both are in the same sub-net and no connectivity issues between the machines. If that's the case, try using LAN cable. It will work

thank you in advance.
Thanks & Regards,
Pavan Kumar.Hi Fabian,
I followed the steps written by you but no luck. Problems I am facing with the consoles :
EM Console -
On same server where web logic is installed
1. The console is not accessible through http://<ip_address>:port/em - Page cannot be displayed error
2. The console is accessible through http://<host name>:port/em - But all buttons are not working, when I submit the credentials no processing takes place.
3. The console is accessible through http://localhost:7001/em - I am able to login
ODSM console :
On same server
Some times I am able to access ODSM console through localhost but otherwise the application is not accessible.
To access the application-
1. Start the nodemanager - C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\bin\startNodeManager.bat
2. Start the weblogic server - C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\vfOIDDomain\bin\startWeblogic.bat
I have a doubt regarding installation :
During Installation while creating the web logic domain a screen asks for "Select Optional Configuration details "
1. Administration Servers
2.Managed Server,cluster and machines etc...
I have not checked any one of the 5 options where in Administration Servers you can say Listen address - all local address.
Can this be the cause ?
I though if I dont check it will take the default configuration which will be " all local address "
Please help.

Unable to login to Administration Console
Hi,
I am evaluating WL 6.0.
I am trying to login into the Administration server using the Administration Console, which prompts for the username and password.
The documentation said:
The first time the Administration Console is started, you can use the user name and password under which the Administration Server was started
what user name and password is the documentation talking about?
Thanks,
Hiensorry, I just figured it out. The user name is 'system'.

ThanksOAM side:
How you deleted OAM server?
It seems that OAM server not uninstalled clearly.
OIM side:
Check for the OIMAuthenticator in the security->realms->myrealm in weblogic
There should be OIMAuthenticator to authenticate OIM users through the database.
Is your DefaultAuthenticator also set to Sufficient? -

Design console not displaying contents
Hi,
I have installed OIM , After i installed the Design console and logged into it, i donnot see any information under any of the forms. It managed to connect to the app server but not pull out information. How do i configure the client to pull information in order to edit or view it.
Regards,
Gaurav RanjitDid you copy the .jar file after installation of Design Console ?
Follow OBE: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/fusion_middleware/im1014/oim/install/installoim.htm#t5
Once you login to Design Console, it wont display anything. Basically you need to search for the objects and then work with them.
Refer to the below resources for an idea. These docs are of old version but should help you in going.

OIM 11gR2 Design Console Access
Hello,
Could someone please tell me the minimum admin role(s) required to grant access to the OIM design console?
Thanks!
ArielHi All,
I am using OIM 11g R2. OIM is running on linux server and Design console is intalled and accessing from windows machine. Able to login the 'xelsysadm' from design Console.
Not able to login from design console for 'oimadmin' user (user created by me).
Executed the following steps,
1) has given 'system Adminstrator' role from top(organization) -> Admin Role -> assigned 'System Adminstrator' Role to 'oimadmin' user.
2) User is 'Xellerate User' organization.
3) Changed User_Type from 'End-user' to 'End-user Administrator'
4) Restarted OIM server.
Still 'oimadmin' user is not able to login.
I would sincerely appreciate, solution for this.
Thanks in advance. -
Unable to log-in in Oracle Identity Manager Design Console
Hello,
I successfully installed OIM9.1.0.1 Identity Manager on Jboss4.2.3.GA App server and could login to OIM using http://llocalhost:8080/xlWebApp on my window Server 2003 system without any problem.
Then I installed the Design Console on my window XP system. However, after successfully installing the Design Console, I could not login using the xelsysadm user ID.
I checked to make sure that xlconfig.xml contains the right URL file under oim_designConsole directories.
The error I get from the Design Console login window is:
Internal Login
Oracle Identity Manager Design Console Could not log you in.
In the dos-command window, I got the error:

OIM Design Console Invalid Login tcLoginException
Dear All,
While trying to login to OIM Design console using design console or using the API the following error is displayed:
Error Keyword: DAE.LOGON_DENIED
Description: Invalid Login.
Remedy: Contact your system administrator.
Action: E
Severity: H
Help URL:
Detail:
com.thortech.xl.security.tcLoginException: com.thortech.xl.crypto.tcCryptoException: KeyStore File :..\xlclient\config\xl.keystore missing.
I believe the password has been changed but unable to login.
My question is how do we reset this password.
Regards,
SimonDo you know password of any other user? If yes, then login into database,
execute query "select usr_password from usr where usr_login='user whose password u know'". This will return encrypted value of password. Copy it and execute query:
"update usr set usr_password='Copied password from above query' where upper(usr_login)= upper('xelsysadm');".
In this way you can set password of Xelsysadm to a known value. Now, you can login into system and change the password of System admin.
I hope this helps.

Suddenly unable to login via console
I restarted my guest that's been running fine for a few days, and suddenly I am unable to login thru the java browser-based console thru the VM Manager.
Everything about the console looks fine: It shows me all the usual startup messages if I open it while the VM guest is booting, it prompts me for the login username and password but instantly returns to the "TestVMHost login:" prompt after entering the correct password. It does this for all three plain users and root that I have established in this VM guest.
I can SSH into the VM guest just fine with PuTTY over the network and login with any valid username/password, so I am not locked out of access to the VM guest. It's just the java-browser console app itself that suddenly stopped letting me login.
Any ideas?
PS: the VM server is 2.2 and the guest is OEL 5.4 installed from media, not from a pre-built template, both are 64-bits.Hi, I have no idea of what can be the reason for your sudden console blackout...
What I can say is that here on my side, SUDDENLY, after a few random reboots (and without touching anything else!), I'm not experiencing the system-console error messages flood anymore (pls see my last post, sorry I'm a bit in a hurry and I'm not able to put in the link).
I have a different error now, just one, after that it looks like it started to function "by itself".
I'm starting to think OVM 2.2 has major problems with networking, and I have the feeling they are related to the new bridge "xenbr0:0" that has been probably created for putting one more layer of abstraction regarding the Server Pool Master (has it been designed like this to make possible automatic migration of VM Guests that used to be running on a failed Server Pool Master? Who knows... On 2.1.5, in that scenario, HA wouldn't have been of help, and no automatic restore of any VM Guest would have happened).
What I can say after a few days of tests is I dont' trust this system, thinking to steadily go back to 2.1.5...
I'm maybe doing something wrong too, but this is the feeling. I have also several more minor issues too. Uhm.
