Unable to lookp system in ESS

Hi,
I am trying to configure ESS in EP 6.0 . I am getting the following error.
What am i supposed to do. I had created a system to connect to R/3 .How am i supposed to proceed after this.
Any suggestions !

Have you given the system alias as SAP_R3_Financials.
Check whether the connections tests are working properly, if not it is the problem with the system creation.

By Apple Menus, I mean the Apple symbol on the top left. Then I select "system preference" and click on this. It does not open.

Where do I find the Applications - System Preferences? I thought this was it. Thank you for your response.
Open a Finder Window and you should see a folder called Applications or using your Dock click on Applications (probably on the far right of the Dock).
BTW did you try restarting your computer? That helps in many situations like this.

Unable to open SYSTEM PROFILER

Hi all,
I updated my software to 10.5.8.
Since then i'm unable to open system profiler.
Tried using the:
a) option button > then click system profiler
b) spotlight
c) apple logo > abt this mac>
Please help.

Try deleting this file.
com.apple.systemprofiler.plist
~/Library/Preferences.
Move that file to the Trash then try to launch the System Profiler.
If that doesn't work you could perform an Archive & Install which would reinstall a new copy of the Mac OS X for you which would install the System Profiler app.
As with any installation, make sure and back up all important data first.

Then repair disk permissions...
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Unable to Open System Prefrences

Hey Guys ,
Im unable to open system preferences on my mac.The problem started 2 days ago.
-I've tried selecting system preferences by clicking the apple logo on the top left corner of my mac.
-I've also tried opening system preferences by selecting Bluetooth preferences & Network Preferences
when i attempt any of the above methods..Nothing opens at all.Nothing opens on the dock nor does any window open
I tried Switching off my mac and Switching it on holding "command","option","r" & "p" but that didnt help.
-system preferences doesn't showup when i try searching for it in Spotlight.
Im using an Early 2008 MBP and am running Mac OS 10.6.6 ( snow leopard) 250 GB HD and 2 GB RAM
Any ideas and any help at all in the matter would be much appreciated

what you are seeing in system-> status is not the installation number that is the status of your system's SAP License
when you have not installed the license properly after the installation, it shows the status as initial
go to SM51
there you can find the instance number along with the Hostname_SID_InstNumber of your server

ERROR: Unable to locate system class: java/lang/String

I have swtiched from running my application using sun jvm to using microsoft jvm. When i run it i get the following error:

Search for the old "MS SDK for Java 4.0" somewhere (no, you can't find it at Microsoft's site).
There are two files that you have to get: sdkdocs40.exe (a file with 10,895,496 bytes) and SDKJava40.exe (a file with 20,222,928 bytes).

Unable to lookup System ...check the system object and the alias

I am working on EP6 Sp 9. I have created iviews and integrated j2ee application by appIntegartor . everything is working fine . but these iviews are working only with superadmin role . with any other role am getting the error message "Unable to lookup System 'NNNJ2ee'. Please check the system object and the alias.."
Have created a role and done appropriate user mapping. Connection Test goes through successfully and iViews work fine as expected, but just in administrator login.
i found a a thread dissucing about the same problem in this forum and followed the solution given by them(assigning eu_role to the user) .
But still it is not working for me.
can anyone please help me in finding the solution .

Hi,
The cause is :
When you create an item with the 'super admin role' user's , you don't have the role : 'eu_role' assigned.
So when you create a new item the role 'eu_role' is not spread to end user.
The solution is :
First add the 'eu_role' to the super admin user. For all next item created it's work fine.
For item already created,
- right click on the object, Select open permissions.
- In the display option, choose Permissions
- Search for role : 'eu_role'
- Add the permissions
- check the box 'End User'
- Save
- And test
For me it's work fine. Let me know if it's good for you...

I am implementing the Business Package for CRM.
I have created the SAP_CRM and SAP_BW systems and assigned them the same aliases as mentioned in the instructions in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40/helpdata/en/11/0584016208bc4988c3791d6213b6d0/content.htm
I have tested the connections to the WAS, as well as ITS server after configuring them from the portal system administration.
However, I get the exception.

Hi Sumit,
System is an object in Portal Content Directory (PCD). User of portal should have permissions to access it. Looking up is a kind of access.
Please go to System Administration -> System Configuration -> System Landscape. Find your system and right-click on it, then choose 'Permissions'. There you should make sure that your portal user has permissions.

There is an extract probably related to your problem:
" If an iView is based on a system object defined in your system landscape (see System Landscape), you must assign end user permission for the relevant user, group, or role to the system object, as well. End user permission assigned to a system permits the iView to retrieve data from the respective back-end application through the system object at runtime."

Unable to create system performance counter SharePoint Disk-Based Cache - SharePoint 2010 SP2 Farm

Hi,
I'm getting this in my Trace Logs:
Performance Counter OS (pdh) call failed with error code PDH_CSTATUS_BAD_COUNTERNAME
PDH failure on counter <serverName>\Sharepoint Disk-Based Cache\Blob Cache hit ration with Unknown error (0x0000bc0)
Unable to create system performance counter <ServerName>\SharePoint Disk-Based Cache\\Blob Cache fill ratio
Unable to create system performance counter <ServerName>\SharePoint Disk-Based Cache\\Total Blob Size
There are bunch of them from SharePoint Disk-Based Cache counter that its trying to create but they cannot be used.
I've logged on to the server as a farm admin, which has full farm permissions, local admin and runs OWSTIMER.EXE service, but I was not able to add the counters myself. I've read few posts here on TechNet but no one answered on how to enable/recreate these
performance counters. I would like to resolve this if its possible.

I could not find the reason why those SharePoint Performance Counters were not on the WFE servers so I just disabled the "Diagnostic Data Provider: Performance Counters - Web Front Ends" in the Central Admin > Monitoring > Job Definitions.

Unable to create system reserved partiton

I buy new laptop hp brobook 450 g2 core i3 5th generation.
I am installing window 8.1 from usb 3.0 and unable to create system reserved partion because of this windows unable to install.
I tried a lot search in internet try all ways even run driver from load drive but I am fail.
New generation machine and 3.0 usb not working properly appreciate to hp.
I install window 8.1 in lenevo and in hp envy and other machine with usb 3.0.
usb 2.0 works fine in my new machine but 3.0 unable to create system reserved partition.
one thing I mentioned that I update my bios also.
there is an another issue reported by person but the support enggineer not reply second time or he will fail to solve the problem.If support engineer dont want to reply so kindly please close this support option please dont consider that people are fool.
Please answer me till my problem solve completly. I chat to the support but i didnt get any reply from there.

WVC54GCA Error: Unable to set system configuration

I logged in as administrator into the WVC54GCA website.
When I try to Disable theled, I get an error message popup box, saying "Error: Unable to set system configuration".
This same message also appears when I try to enter a "Description" for the camera.
Both of these settings are part of the Basic Setup of the camera'a web site.
Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

Try to use another computer,login into the Camera setup page and try to disable the LED operation..If that does not work then,reset the camera and re-configure it.

Unable to lookup System

I am working on EP6 SR 1 (NW). I have connected the portal to BW (3.0B) system and able to create BW Report iViews for the connected BW System. However, these
iViews work only with the Administrator login. When I create a user with assigning just the role created for the BW iView reports and try to access the BW iViews, I get the error message "Unable to lookup System 'Cel_DBW010'. Please check the system object and the alias..". I have created the BW System DBW010 and an alias Cel_DBW010. Have created a role and done appropriate user mapping. Connection Test goes through successfully and iViews work fine as expected, but just in administrator login. Any help would be appretiated.

Hi,
go to the system landscape in your portal, right-click your system and edit the permissions.
Your user must have a role that is listed there with read-permission!
Usually, the every_user (or 'Everyone') role is listed there with read permission, so your user should have the every_user role as well.

Pay particular attention to the section called "Setting Permissions to Portal Content". To make permissions changes, you'll go to System Administration -> Permissions. The document spells it out well.
Generally speaking, if you've got your system object aliased correctly you should not have a problem. However, if the permissions on this system object (or the folder in which it lives) are too restrictive, users won't be able to find the system object and you'll get this error message.
Give it a shot and let us know.

I am trying to assign an employee on the system to ESS user profile and the message I get is personnel number 00000001 does not exist. When this employee has full record on the system and is an active employee What am I doing wrong?

IT 0185 can be used for India payroll. This is for pan no, gratuity.
This will not affect payroll.
OR
We maintain subtypes in table v_t591a. Goto tcode sm30 --> v_t591a --> select maintain
OR
Check his Infotype 105 and see if there is a valid record for the employee.
