Unable to make a copy of the query

Hi All,
I want to make a copy of a bw query. When I try to save the query as a new query I get the following error: -
An unexpected 'assertion: failed to delete old query' error occured in wdbrlog.
It seems to have happened due to an SP upgrade.
Please provide your inputs on how to resolve this error.

Thanks for your replies.
RSZC is working. But the problem is user will not have access to this transaction, so user has to save as the query from the query designer itself.
It is while the user tries to save the query from query designer, the error messages are obtained in the following sequence.
- An unexpected 'assertion: failed to delete old query' error occured in wdbrlog.
- Run time error '-214722149 (80040005)
- Run time error -'429'
ActiveX component can't create object.
Then the system disconnects.
I want to resolve this error so that the user can work direclty using query designer.
Recently we had SP ugrade. The system details are: -
SAP_BASIS 640 0017
SAP_BW 350 0017
Note 1060109 didn't seem applicable.
Please let me know your inputs.

Hi Kevin,
To make a copy of the query use the "save as" option in the query designer and assign the new technical name and description.
If you want to copy the query between 2 data targets then use the transaction RSZC.

Is it possible to make a copy of the Leopard install DVD?

Is it possible to make a copy of the Leopard install DVD? If so, is there a special way this has to be done? I just found out that we needed to use the Leopard install DVD to recover a complete backup from Time Machine after a recent hard drive failure. We have the family pack of Leopard, so I would like to keep the original at home and send a copy when my daughter goes off to college in case she needs to recover again. Her machine was originally a Tiger MacBook, so those install disks will not work. If it is not possible to copy the DVD, is there a way to create a bootable utility to do a time machine recovery?

This half-solved my problem. I have had no problems creating a backup copy for my intel based computers, but non-intel based computers are problematic; a G5 powermac tower and a G4 Powerbook. Both with super drives for single density burning. Both have Leopard running, installed from an install disc purchased from Apple. However, neither will mount the copy, but intel based computers will. have burnt/burned with both toast 9 and Disc Utility. Discs won't mount and are "spit out" by the drive.

is it possible to make a copy of the FAQs module? I need to have FAQs in different languages.
I can add event, photo, news ands media modules but not a new FAQs module.
I also found that you can add a category and display the FAQs with the filter: cr or individual filter. But where do I add the category name to filter on?

Quick solution: the ID is used for the category name, so I need to do a time consuming process to find the id.

You can use the Dreamweaver FTP (or a different FTP client) to completely copy the original website to your development computer, then, before making changes, you can copy the whole thing to a directory called something like "website original"
If you want to run both the old and new sites on the remote server, this is often possible. Add a folder/directory to the server and call it something like "new" and upload the new files there until you are ready to replace the old site
All of this you can do with FTP

Unable to use Navigational Attr in the query ?

Hi experts,
We are using BEx 3.X.
We have a report based on an infoset. We want to use some navigational attributes in the query and
restrict the values of these attributes.
But we are unable to use them as navigational attr. They are displayed as display attributes only.
We are unable to restrict them. This is because the query is on Infoset.
When i use the same navigational attr in a query based on a infocube, it is displaying as Navigational Attr.
We are in BI 7 but using BEx 3.X.
How to resolve this ?

attribute by using the F4 help. With this setting, the value of the characteristic to be updated is read from the
master data table of the specified characteristic.
Characteristic Material is provided by the InfoSource.
Characteristic Material Group is not provided by the InfoSource.
Characteristic Material Group is an attribute of characteristic Material
Therefore you can fill Material Group from the master data table of Material: Select the method Master Data
Attribute from and Material as source.
The generic master data read only works for characteristics that are available in the communication
structure.
For a more complex master data read or if the characteristic is not available in the communication structure,
you have to implement the master data read yourself in a routine for the specific characteristic. If so, the
function module RSAU_READ_MASTER_DATA should be used to read the master data.
In Infoset u can use max 2 cubes......and Infoobjects 'N' number u can use.......

How to make a copy of the IMAP Sent messages when the Sent folder file can not be found?

My Thunderbird works fine. I can also see messages sent in the Sent folder but I wonder are the sent messages only saved in the IMAP server. For the backup purposes I would like to copy the file of the Sent folder but I can not find a local file for it.
In /home/me/.thunderbird/44g5fxvp.default/ImapMail/mail.[mymail].fi I do have files

That is because they are not stored on your computer they are stored on the server. The Sent.msf file is just an indexing file and does not store emails.

These subscribed folders have been synchronised to get a local copy onto your computer in your Thunderbird profile folder.
You need to do the same with the 'Sent folder.

then go into 'offline' mode to stop further synchronising.
Then you can right click on selected emails and save as .eml files in a folder external to Thunderbird.

I see this link that explains how you can make an archive of TC files directly to an external USB (greatly increasing the speed), but I would like to:
1) Chose only specific folders and
2) If possible, have it do this daily.

The archive ability which is available in all versions of the airport utility except the early v6, where it was dropped for a time, is designed to do a full backup of the TC. It cannot do what you want.
It cannot incrementally backup. Each time you press archive it will do the whole disk.
you cannot select folders to be included or excluded. The airport utility is an extremely limited functionality tool.

A TC is a dumb as a board hard disk in a router. It has no controls like a real NAS would have, like backup with a auto controls and ability to deselect items or do incrementals.
So you have no choice whatsoever on a TC except for the files to be processed via the Mac.
Carbon Copy Cloner is one backup utility that can do the job. But it will be extremely slow if the material it is backing up has to be copied to the USB on the TC. Still if your changes are not great, it can be set to automatically do incremental backups on a daily basis.
It is much faster btw to have the USB plugged into the computer, so files do not have to be transferred back to the USB.. and this is x10 if you are using wireless.

Unable to make a copy of a physical disc

I've created a blu ray disc via FCPX, and have burned a copy. How can I make a disc image from the physical disc, so that I can make additional copies?
I made a blu ray version of a video, and I have the blu ray disc. I no longer have the original files from FCPX (my computer got wiped out in an earthquake), but I'm trying to make an additional copy of the blu ray disc. When I tried opening "Disc Utilities" and clicked on "New Image," and selected "CD/DVD Master," I got a disc image with ".cdr". When I tried to burn it, I got an error message saying that there wasn't enough space on the blank blu ray. The .cdr image shows it to be 24.22GB.
I tried creating a "burn folder" on the desktop, but cannot seem to drag and drop from the original blu ray the necessary files.
Do I need to purchase Toast in order to accomplish this, or is there another way to create a blu ray disc image?
Any help will be appreciated.

I had Toast on my old computer, and ended up installing it on my new computer, and it worked.
(By the way, I have the newest version of Mac OS, and I installed Toast 11 Pro. Upon the initial installation, I got a message that an updated version was available, so I downloaded and installed it. It works fine with my new computer. Others have had their own experiences with Toast and Yosemite.)

Is there a way that we can copy a same query made on one Infoprovider to another Infoprovider.
I have very complicated query that I have created on one Infoprovider, the same query has to made on the different Infoprovider which has same structure.
Or Is the way that we can copy the structures from Infoprovider to another.

Hi Santhosh,
if you have to copy a query from an InfoProvider to another one with a different structure, you have can bypass the standard functionality and working on a standard FM following these steps:
Step 1.
- Go to t-code se37 and select RSZ_I_COPY_QRY_TO_CUBE.
- Set a breakpoint after the line Perform check infocube to manipulate the SAP BW original compliancy check. Search for and set the breakpoint at IF l_subrc 0 OR l_is_compliant = rs_c_false .
Step 2.
At the next stop in coding, enter the InfoProvider name in the occurring dialog in your defined breakpoint. In debug mode, set the return parameter l_is_compliant to X by typing the parameter name l_is_compliant in the field name input box
Step 3. Copy the query.
The system next asks you what query to copy The system believes that the target InfoProvider is compliant, but displays the objects that could not be found and copied
Step 4. Add the missing elements.
You can add the missing characteristics manually after copying the query.

Unable to make a connection with the external ip address

I made a simple chat program in order to test the networking. I was able to make local connections using the internal ip addresses, bu when I try the external ip address, the connextion fails.
Here is my ServerSocket in the MessengerServer class : ServerSocket server = new ServerSocket(1234);
And here is the code that worked in the local network in the MessengerClient class: s = new Socket(InetAddress.getByName("192.168.1.4"), 1234);
I also tried that code, using both the external and internal addresses : s = new Socket(InetAddress.getByName("71.178.183.40"), 1234, InetAddress.getByName("192.168.1.4"), 1234);
Can anyone help me?

Unable to download Digital Copy of The Little Mermaid.

I have been trying since yesterday to download my digital copy using the redemption code. Keeps giving me "Code redemption is temporarily unavailable. Try again later." Havent heard back from iTunes support either. If I try on my iPhone or iPad I get "Error. iTunes store is unavailable" Tried both on 4G and Wi-Fi both at home and even at work. Anyone else having issues with iTunes or downloading this digital copy? Any suggestions?

Issue ended up being with the iTunes store. I waiting until the next day and tried it again and was able o finally download the digital copy. I actually contacted Disney digital support who was able to inform me of the issue. Apple unfortunatly did not tell me this.
