Unable to make purchases "credit card has expired"

I am unable to make purchases using my Apple TV. I receive an error message that says "your credit card has expired. Go the the iTunes store on your computer and update your Billing info."
However my account is up to date. My credit card expiration date is years in the future. I make purchases all the time through iTunes store (music, apps, etc..)
Any thoughts?

I have the same problem. My info is updated. I can purchase music from my apple tv, and from iTunes. I can also purchase movies from the iTunes store and transfer them to apple TV, but unable to purchase directly from apple tv.
One fix in the short term is to purchase a movie from the iTunes store and then transfer it to the apple tv. It's a longer process, but gets the job done.

The credit card used is that registered in the iTunes Store. Open the Store and go to your account. Click 'edit' next to 'payment details' and amend the card details if necessary.

The reason, I included the annotation that I'd upgraded my Itunes, (On my Computer) is B/C in many forums - the very first question, *HELPERS* ask, is. "Do you have the latest version of Itunes downloaded on your computer." I wanted to knock out any obvious replies.
Now- "DO YOU have any idea,"... how your UNHELPFUL remarks, do absolutely nothing but hurt others that might not have the EXPERIENCE you have? How do you expect people to know things without asking questions? Whew! RUDE!!

HT1918 Why is apple telling me that my credit card has expired still after its been updated?

I have just tried updating my credit card details on my ITunes account using my IPhone. Once entered, it still prompts me to update my details saying my credit card is expired (even with a new expiration date of 2016!!).
Why is this and how do I fix thus annoying problem???

You can
Create a NEW account using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

You can have apps purchased from more than one account. It does complicate update apps though.
- Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

I want to change my payment method with new credit card information as current credit card has expired. But when I try to change payment method , returns your payment method is not valid or allowed and continues to prompt to change the same. But when I try to update with whew credit card number, it doesn't accept and continue to refuse the payment method.
This problem is not allowing me to purchase of any kind either paid or even free as well. Doesn't allow to even purchase free books even
Please help to solve the issue

How do I find out what purchases were made on a particular day/time? My credit card has a charge and I didn't purchase anything from APL*APPLE ITUNES?

My credit card has a charge on it for a particular day/time from APL *APPLE ITUNES. The charged amount and date/time of the charge do not ring any bells with me and I don't have kiddos that would be charging downloads or whatever. How do I find out what the charges were actually for? I've tried to figure it out in the iTunes store, but not having much luck. I'm new to this iPhone 'thing". Please help.

Would be problems with purchases, billing, and redemption option. It's not 100% exact to your issue, but it will get you to the right department.
Go here https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.do then select ITunes, then Store, then Purchases, Billing, and Redemption. Then.. probably pick "My topic is not listed."
