Unable to Map Decimal parameter

Hi Everybody,
I have a Background Callable object(CO) and a RFC as External CO. There are decimal data-type parameters in both the objects which i am unable to map.
I am using NW04s 7.0 SPS17.
Can anybody help ?
Regards,
Ravi

Hi Ravi,
as a workaround can you try to use Double instead of Decimal?

George.

  • Mapping Input Parameter renders mapping unable to be compiled or deployed

    Hi there. I have an interesting issue I have not encountered before.
    I can create a new mapping with a Mapping Input Parameter (just one parameter of type Integer), map this to a table column of the same type and the mapping compiles and deploys without any issues.
    However, if I take an existing mapping (which already compiles and deploys without issues), add a Mapping Input Parameter to it (just one parameter of type Integer) and map this parameter through to a table column of the same type, when I compile the mapping I get a pop-up "Warehouse Builder Error" with a number 56 and a red cross. The mapping cannot generate any code and gives no explaination. Trying this on a different mapping causes the same issue but with a different number in the pop-up.
    I have tried changing the parameter from integer to another data type and this makes no difference.
    Removing the Mapping Input Parameter makes the mapping compilable and deployable again.
    Am I missing something here ?
    Thanks
    Paul

    Ok... this could be a bug, but I worked out how to resolve the issue.
    To get the issue:-
    1. Open a mapping which does not have a Mapping Input Parameter and compiles and deploys happily
    2. Add a Mapping Input Parameter object, add an output attribute to it and map it to a table column.
    3. Compile the mapping and you get a "Warehouse Builder Error" pop-up with a number, then a Validation Completed Successfully message. But no code can be generated and the mapping
    cannot be deployed.
    4. Slap your forehead and say "Doh!"
    To fix the issue :-
    1. Open the same mapping
    2. Resynch the tables you mapped the Mapping Input Parameter to. The mapping now compiles and deploys ok.
    3. Pat yourself on the back
    cheers

  • Mapping a parameter to the form field (OIM 11g)

    Hello, people!
    How can I get an information from a created form field?
    In more details: I have to assign a manual creating of a resource to a concrete group of users. So I made a form that contains a field named "Admin Group", made a process for this form that contains a manual task "manual create user", in assignment tab of this task I'm using a task assignment adapter. This adapter has one input parameter - Group name using what I want to find a group key. So the problem is in mapping this parameter. I expected to find my "Admin Group" field and map to it, but i didn't find that. How can I get information from this field?
    Regards
    Anton Litvin

    I think you have created Object Form. Are you seeing Object Data while mapping.
    Create one process form. Populate Process Form Field using Data Flow under Process Definition.
    While mapping you'll see Process data to map with your Admin Group.
    Sorry don't know how they have handled in OIM 11g... Above is for 10g.

  • Unable to map a network drive in Windows 8.1 Professional

    I am using a Dell Venue 11 Pro tablet with Windows 8.1 professional.
    I was able to setup the domain on the tablet but I am unable to map any drives.
    The tablet is shown in Active Directory on our domain controller and I am using an established user name and password.
    When I try to map the drives, none of the network servers are showing. When I manually type in the server location it says it is an invalid address.
    We are using Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition.

    Hi,
    Can you ping the domain computers?
    Go to your network setting, turn on network discovery setting.

  • NSS6000: unable to map as a network drive in Win7pro

    I have setup my NSS6000 through the web browser interface (setup RAID5, created a volume, created a share (using CIFS protocol), and created a couple usernames). Now I am trying to map my share as a network drive and it is not working.
    I select Map a Network Drive in My Computer, select a drive letter, enter its ip address as "\\192.168.0.xxx" in the folder line, and check the boxes for "Reconnect at logon" and "Connect using different credentials"
    After entering all this info, a logon screen appears asking me for a username and password. I enter the username and password for a username I created through the web interface. After a few seconds, the logon window reappears. I try my username/password again, this continues 3-4 times and then finally it says "Windows cannot access \\192.168.0.xxx"
    I have gotten error codes of 0x80070035 (The network path was not found). Also, when I select "Diagnose" after getting the "Windows cannot access" popup box, it sometimes tells me "The device or resource (192.168.0.xxx) is not set up to accept connections on  port "The File and printer sharing (SMB)"."
    I can see the device in the Network window of My Computer (listed under "Other Devices" as NAS00xxxxxxxx). I can also continue to access it via the ip address through the web interface.
    Some things I have tried:
    entering the MAC address instead of the IP address (\\NAS00xxxxxxxx) as the folder
    entering \\192.168.0.xxx\nas as the folder (nas is the name of the share I created)
    entering my username as both "NAS00xxxxxxxx\username" and just as "username"
    entering my adminstator login credentials for the web browser interface as the username/password, as opposed to a username I created within the web interface
    Not checking the "Connect using different credentials" box
    I can't believe this is so difficult. Can anyone help me solve this? Thanks

    Thanks for the tips - here's what I did and the results
    Created a new username on through the web interface; changed the hostname to "nasbox"; rebooted the NSS6000; rebooted the pc while the NSS was booting; logged on to the pc with a generic username (not admin or administrator)
    tried again to map it as a network drive - specified \\192.168.0.xxx\nas as the folder name (again, "nas" is the name of the share I created on the device), selected the checkbox for "Connect using different credentials". Clicked finish, box for username/password pops up. I enter the new username/password I created - same result. No joy.

  • About mapping-input-parameter operator !

    hi all:
    There is a problem,
    I deploy a mapping,the mapping have a mapping input parameter, the mapping is runing a time every day£¬and
    every day's parameter is different.
    I want to mapping input parameter of the mapping can auto get a value from some soure now.
    and the input parameter of the mapping is a "group by"
    condition at mapping!
    is this possible succed?

    Depending on what the (dynamic) source of you parameter value look like, you can either add it as a Mapping Table operator or create a simple function to use as a Pre-Mapping Process.

  • Mapping input parameter

    Hello gurus !
    I'm newbie on using OWB.
    How does the "Mapping input parameter" work ?
    If I place it on my mapping and afterwards I generate the mapping and run the mapping via Control Center Manager, The Control Center should ask me for value of the parameters or not ?
    Thanks in advance
    Marcelo

    I search this forum for the same topic and found
    Re: OWB 10.2 PARIS - How do you enter mapping parameters?

  • Connecting the Sequence Operator to the Mapping Output Parameter?

    my OWB Client: 10.2.0.2.8
    my OWB Repository: 10.2.0.2.0
    I need to obtain a sequence number (from the Sequence Operator), then output it
    using the Mapping Output Parameter, if possible.
    I have tried two things:
    1. Connect Sequence Operator nextval variable to the Mapping Output Parameter.
    This generates error:
    "Table,View Or Sequence reference 'xx_SEQ.NEXTVAL' not allowed in this
    context"
    2. Join the Sequence Operator nextval variable with a source table, then
    connect a port from the dataflow to Mapping Output Parameter.
    This generates error:
    "Mapping Input Parameter and Mapping Output Parameter are intended to be
    executed before and after the data flow of the mapping and cannot accept
    inputs from any part of the data flow."
    From what I have seen so far, it appears it may not be possible to use the
    Sequence Operator along with the Mapping Output Parameter. If Im wrong, please
    let me know of an example of how the Sequence Operator and Mapping Output
    Parameter can be connected.
    Thanks

    User -
    Look at adding a Post-Mapping Process to your mapping, there you have a choice of built in functions or custom ones that could return a sequence value for you. You may have to create the sequence outside of OWB ...

  • Unable to map actionscripting with java nested objects

    Hi Experts...,
    Im a newbie in flex and actionscripting.....
    Im unable to map nested java classes and objects with my front end flex application using actionscript....I have searched everywhere almost to my knowledge on the net but failed to find a fix...,
    im having serious trouble reffereing to attributes of an object using another object( which by the way happens to be the parent object).
    Im using hibernate and springs to do the DB transactions....,
    Please help me out with this issue.....
    Thanks for all the help and support in advance....

    Again, I don't work with Java and you should ask Java-related question in Flex (or Java) forum.
    Java or not - you need to package your server side language specific object into something that AS understands (text, XML, AMF object) and load this data into AS via, perhaps, URLLoader. Or you can open socket. Then you parse this data with AS3 code in SWF.

  • Problems with Mapping Input Parameter

    Hi everybody,
    just another question. I have a Mapping with an Mapping Input Parameter. If i provide a Parameter with an prefixed 0 e.g.: 01234 the output of this is 1234.
    How can i manage this that the output of the Input Parameter ist 01234 and not like now 1234?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Greetings

    The Mapping Input Parameter is of type varchar2 and it still gives 1234. The Problem is i have to provide the whole input parameter for logging proposes. I managed this now by building a workflow an provide the mapping input parameters to new variables. Now the Input 01234 gives 01234....:-)
    Does anybody know another solution for this problem?

    Hi Ammad,
    Thanks for your Reply.Actually that block is based on a complex view(xxmz_sc_detail_v).So i am trying to insert the data into one custom table(xxmz_ship_confirm).so i have written following code in the KEY-COMMIT trigger:
    BEGIN
    LOOP
    IF :xxmz_detail.select_cbx = Y then
    INSERT INTO xxmz_ship_confirm
    values(:xxmz_detail...,....,...);
    END IF;
    EXIT WHEN :SYSTEM.LAST_RECORD = 'TRUE';
    NEXT_RECORD;
    END LOOP;
    END;
    APP_STANDARD.EVENT('KEY-COMMIT');
    execute_query;
    At this block if i make any changes after i press F4 It's prompting "Do u want to save the Changes?[YES/NO/CANCEL].
    If i press "YES" it displays message "1 Records applied and Saved.
    But the record is not saved in the xxmz_ship_confirm table.

  • Unable to Map Contract Catalog to Master Catalog

    Hello,
    We currently use CCM 2.0 with SRM version 5.
    Our issue is that when items are added to a contract catalogue and released, the contract releases successfully but errors appear in the upload logs advising u2018It is not possible to retrieve the data types for catalog **********. Catalog update was terminatedu2019.
    The contract catalog then has a red light against so we are unable to map the contract to the Master Catalog.
    The issue appears to be intermittent as we have had some go through successfully.
    I have checked the following:
    SXMB_MONI u2013 shows as successfully processed
    SLG1 u2013 shows no errors
    /CCM/D_CTLG_REQ u2013 there is no entry in the req_sender field
    /CCM/D_UPD_STATE u2013 the status is 02 u2013 completed with errors.
    Iu2019ve seen a similar issue posted with the advice to run /CCM/CLEANUP_DIS_PERSISTENCY, however I havenu2019t ran this before and would like some advice on the impacts of doing so before I run it in our Production environment.
    Can anyone provide some information on why this issue could be occurring and what I can do to resolve the issue?
    Many Thanks
    Lisa

    Hi Lisa,
    Such an error normally means the catalog is corrupted, you can run the cleanup_dis_persistency report in the hope that it can repair the links but it is doubtful, it is more likely that you will have to delete this contract catalog and then re transfer the contract to CCM again before mapping to the master.

  • Java.util.Map as Parameter?

    hi!
    i use a Map as Parameter in a webserivce.
    in detail it's a hashMap<String,String>
    is this a recommend way?
    can any other client such as .net understand the wsdl?
    in the wsdl the map looks like : type="apachesoap:Map"
    thanks a lot?

    You SHOULD NOT use the Java HashMap, I recomend you, to implement your own class to represent a Map, Specially if you have the server side implementation in Java and the client you are developing is implmented in C/C++/.NET, If you use yhe java HashMap you may have a lot of problems with serialization/deserialization e.j. something like HashMap:
    public class Kmap implements Serializable {
         public mapEntry map[];
         public int size;
         public Kmap() {
              map = null;
              size = 0;
         public Set KmapkeySet() {
              return this.toHashMap().keySet();
    public class mapEntry implements Serializable {
    private String key;
    private Alist value;
    public mapEntry(){
    key = null;
    value = null;
    public void setKey(String k){
    key = k;
    public String getKey(){
    return this.key;
    public void setValue(Alist l){
    value = l;

  • Unable to map a disk drive connected to the Airport Extreme

    I just bought an Airport Extreme and connected a disk (Iomega Minimax) though the USB. I can see that the disk is connected (in the AirPort tool, and I can manually map it on my laptop (XP) using the IP-adress. Unfortunately I also have a PC (also an XP) connected to the Airport via an ethernet-cable, and here I'm unable to map the drive. Please help me fixing the problem. Thanks.

  • Unable to detect any parameter in html (webresource) when value is passed from onload method of form

    Unable to detect any parameter in html (webresource) when value is passed from onload method of form
    I am trying out some stuff. For which I created a simple Entity. In the form of the entity I have added a simple web resource (html). And for the onload of the form I am calling the following function
    function HelpDeskActivityOnLoadhandler()
     var customParameters = encodeURIComponent("first=First Value&second=Second Value&third=Third Value");
        Xrm.Utility.openWebResource("tsi_scriptzz",customParameters);
    Here is the code for the  tsi_scriptzz.html
    <html>
     <body>
      <script type="text/javascript">
        var vals = new Array();
        if (location.search != "") {
         vals = location.search.substr(1).split("&");
         for (var i in vals) {
          vals[i] = vals[i].replace(/\+/g, " ").split("=");
      </script>
     </body>
    </html>
    MY PROBLEM IS -> location.search is always coming back with empty string. So, it not getting the parametrs I am passing from the load method of the form.
    Could someone kindly help me.
    Thanks,
    Hasib

    Hello, I tried it myself. I got a new_test.htm file and a new_test.js file. The loadWebResource function is called on the OnLoad event of an Entity.
    function loadWebResource()
    var params = encodeURIComponent('param1=value one&param2=value two&param3=value three');
    Xrm.Utility.openWebResource('new_test.htm', params);
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Web Resource Parameter Example</title>
    <!-- Use ../ClientGlobalContext.js.aspx if your webresource is in a deeper folder on CRM -->
    <script src="ClientGlobalContext.js.aspx" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    document.onreadystatechange = function () {
    if (document.readyState == 'complete') {
    var params = getParams();
    for(var i=0; i<params.length; i++)
    log(params[i].name + ' ' + params[i].value);
    // this functions puts the params in a 'dictionary format'
    // f.e params[0].name = param1 & params[0].value = 'value one'
    // You could customize this function or find some on the internet to retrieve a param fe by name...
    // This is just an example how to get the name and values
    function getParams(){
    var params = [];
    var querystring = Xrm.Page.context.getQueryStringParameters().Data;
    var querystringparts = querystring.split('&');
    for(var i=0; i<querystringparts.length;i++)
    var split = querystringparts[i].split('=');
    params.push({
    name: split[0],
    value: split[1]
    </script>
    </head>
    <body>
    </body>
    </html>
    Hope it helps now. Kind Regards
