Unable to move between PEAP (MSCHAPv2) to WPA2 Personal

I just started to have a problem changing from my wireless network at work to my home network. At the office, I authenticate using PEAP (MSCHAPv2) and connect just fine. I put the computer to sleep, to go home and when my MBP tries to connect to my WPA2 Personal wireless at home, it times out. The only way to make the connection work is to reboot. It will then connect perfectly. For the record, I don't have the problem in the other direction, meaning that I can go from WPA2 Personal to PEAP seamlessly.

No great ideas here, but you could try removing wireless protection from home for a brief period of safe use; resetting the router; and then setting up WPA2 again.

Self Assigned IP even though I am Authenticated via PEAP(MSCHAPv2) to WPA2

Help!
After installing Snow Leopard 10.6.1 on my 2.16 GHz Core Duo MacBook Pro running OS 10.5, I can no longer connect to the WPA2 Enterprise network at the University of Ottawa. I can still connect to other encrypted networks, such as my home WEP encrypted network. Before the installation I was able to connect to the WPA2 enterprise network.
When attempting to connect, under network preferences I can see that my computer is Authenticated via PEAP(MSCHAPv2) and a timer showing my time connected is running. However under status, it says that I have a self assigned IP and that I cannot connect to the internet. As a result I cannot connect to the internet.

The thing you and many others forget is that these forums are for those with problems. Those for whom the installs works without fault do not visit here. They do not post. There are about 9,000 topics in the Installation and Using forums (the largest two) and even if every topic were an unique fault, this would mean a small fraction of the installed base.
According to AppleInsider the Q1 sales of SL would be circa 5 million copies, and other reports indicate these numbers have been surpassed in the early months. So lets go for one months sales at only 1.5 million copies. 9,000 faults in 1.5 million copies is only a 0.6% rate and that's if every topic is a different fault (which it plainly isn't).
So I'm afraid your argument is even less convincing - a few people report your fault, and even if only 1% of the installed base uses it, its still infinitesimal. IMO, the vast majority of problems arise from an initial Leopard installation that had enough variability of build to make enhancements problematical. I'd be the first to admit its not Apples finest hour, but its certainly not bad for the overwhelming majority.
Perhaps you could apply to be an Apple tester, to help solve this issue ? Its better than standing on the sidelines complaining about everyone elses work for certain.
Or log a fault request as it will get looked at I can assure you, but only if there is a tester who is actually able and willing to test that particular piece of functionality.

Unable to move between libraries and events

For the last month everything on FCPX 10.1 has worked without a hitch. As of today, i am unable to switch between libraries or even events within those libraries.
For example, i'm editing a sweet 16 event. one event is "prep" the other event is "church ceremony". when putting together a montage, once i am done working with the clips in "prep" I click to "church ceremony". No change, the "prep clips remain in the browser, althought he "church ceremony" event highlights, but won't twilr down.

The image above shows all the clips inside the entire library as i had last clicked on the library itself to see all clips in the library. Once i clicked on the "score" event, the media browser did not update to reflect only what is inside the "score" event.

Can we still use PEAP-MSCHAPV2 for authenticating to a WPA2-Enterprise network?

For authenticating to a BYOD wireless network a lot of companies use WPA2-Enterprise connected to a Microsoft IAS/NPS server to authenticate against Active Directory. There seems to be a way to intercept this wireless traffic using a roque accesspoint using the same (company) SSID-name and tools like freeradius-WPE and cloudcracker.
If the BYOD client doesn't check the certificate provided by the fake radius server, the MSCHAPv2-negotiation can be discovered and the hacker will get the username AND hashed password which can be lookup'd by rainbow tables sites like cloudcracker.
Is there still a safe way to deploy AD-authentication to BYOD clients?

I have tested the WPA2-enterprise/PEAP-MSCHAPv2 exploit this week placing a laptop in my car on the company parking lot with a Kali image, using hostap and freeradius-wpe configured with the company SSID. It was very easy to find out the mschapv2 challenge/responses of a number of android/windows phones that there just walking past my car. Also iPhone has a bad WPA2-enterprise implementation (see: http://research.edm.uhasselt.be/~bbonne/docs/robyns14wpa2enterprise.pdf), so bye bye WPA2-enterprise/PEAP-MSCHAPv2.
Wonder what other (large) companies are using for their BYOD wireless networks! EAP-TLS using certificate sounds like the only feasible option, however, we are afraid that the enrolment of certificates to the BYOD-clients will be a total disaster. I heard stories that some android phones lose their client certificate after a reboot :(

Unable to move photos between albums in search mode

I am unable to move picture between albums when I have done a search for a title etc. eg. search for 'Leeds' brings up 20 pics one album and 15 in another, but the two albums are several years apart (possibly 100's of rolls!).
Why am I unable to then drag the pics from one roll to another? Is this a known issue? Very annoying when dealing with various project over various years and the only way is to drag the pics all the way down, often getting lost!!

You may be able to do it as follows:
1 - assign a unique keyword to each of those files. Something like "AAAAAAAA" will stand out when you're looking for it.
2 -set the view options to View keywords only.
3 - set the sort option to sort by keyword.
4 - now look for that unique keyword, select them all and create a new roll. To see the new roll you'll have to reset rolls to be viewed.
If there are more than one keyword for those photos, the the first keyword assigned to that photo will determine where it falls in the listing of photos. So it's best if there are no keywords other than the unique one.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

Unable to move RemoteApp between monitors

I have a Server 2012 farm with 4 RD hosts for remote apps, 2 RD Brokers and one server running the rdweb role. Up until last Thursday, users were able to move remote apps between multiple monitors with no problems. Users use Windows Professional, SP1.
Friday, users were unable to move a remote app to a different monitor. The only change that was made, was on the session hosts, the DPI scaling was set to manual (at 115%) and the session hosts were restarted.
I changed the setting back today and Remote Apps are still stuck on one monitor.
Some things I have tried:
1. Checking the monitor positions in the resolutions settings, for example 1,2 and 3 and moving the taskbar to the primary monitor.
2. I have checked the settings in the RDP file to make sure span monitor and multiple monitor was still enabled. It was...
3. I tried disabling the Session Host GPOs (which only set resolution anyway).
4. I have another 2012 RD setup with all roles on one server, and RemoteApp movement works fine.
5. Verified mstsc.exe version on both setups. It is 6.3.9600
Any help would be appreciated.

Unable to move preview mode screen up and down on a mac

I'm teaming with a coworker to build a website on Muse. He's operating on a PC and I'm operating on a mac. We are both able to open the muse file and make changes, but I'm experiencing problems when I click over to Preview Mode on my mac. No matter which mouse I use with my computer (magic trackpad, trackpad on my laptop or regular usb mouse with a wheel) I am unable to move the screen up and down to see the content we built lower on the page. The pc does not have this same problem. Ideas?

List Project A has separate tasks defined which needs to accomplished in a timely manner for the project to complete on schedule.
I want to be able to move these tasks which are in a table on the SharePoint List.
Hope this is clear.

The WLCs are running 7.3 and ISE is 1.1.1
I'm trying to setup wireless guest access, where the guests connect to a SSID with 802.1X using PEAP/MSCHAPv2.
They should receive their username/password either from a sponsor directly (corporate AD user which prints the credentials) or through a SMS.
The credentials will be created by the sponsor, using the sponsor portal on the ISE.
Now to the questions:
Is it correct that the foreign WLC (i.e. the WLC within the internal corporate network), should be set to no L2 and L3 security on the guest WLAN, to avoid having the foreign WLC contact the ISE and all traffic be forwarded directly to the anchor WLC?
Is it correct that the anchor WLC (i.e. the WLC in the DMZ), should be configured with 802.1X/WPA2 L2 security and the ISE servers as the RADIUS servers on the guest WLAN, to ensure that the client is correctly authenticated/authorized by the ISE?
When a guest logs on, how can I ensure that only one device (MAC address) is allowed per user?
As it is now, a guest is able to log on with (I assume) an unlimited number of devices, using the credentials they have received.

802.1x EAP PEAP MSCHAPv2 on Windows 7 Client.

I have problems autenticate a w7 client at our Enterprice WiFi network. XP, Apple clients and all SmartPhones works fine... We use Radius assigned Vlans based on username and ream routed on our Meru Network to Navis radius as centralied point of
autentication. Navis proxes client autenticatinon recuest to the customers Radiuses based on the realm.
Windows 7 32 client use the radius CA (installed and ticked) and EAP PEAP MSCHAPv2 in the SSID settings. The customer radius is an Freeradius. In autentication logs we se that the client sends the Maschinename, eg. Machine-x200/username@realm
even we in the client settings, under SSID Propirties, Security, MS Protected EAP(PEAP), Settings and EAP-MSCAPv2 Configuration, have removed tick on the default setting:
Use Autom. Windows-username... AND under Security Advanced (back one step), in the 802.1X Settings, choose User autentication only! (not user and maschine, mascine only or guest) and we have saved corectly username@reame =(username here) and password...
in the username password Setting.
Is it possible edit or change the way the client PC is sett up to prevent this?
Is there any way make a policy setting? or is there other solutions?

E6 EAP-PEAP MSCHAPv2 authority certificate

I am unable to connect to our company WLAN. I tried various username/domain/realm combinations for the EAP-PEAP MSCHAPv2 settings but it keeps giving message authentication failed. Our ocmpany does not have authority certificate and hence I select "not defined". I was told by our network admin that Nokia phones have this problem that they cannot connect without authority certificate.
Is there any work around? I tried excporting an interim certificate of our company from my laptop but to no avail. Pls help.

If there is actual workaround to get EAP-PEAP MSCHAPv2 to use with WLAN to use Eduroam, that would help me and many other people.
Maybe Nokia has not build it to Nokia E6 phones.
But if there would be an update for Belle OS to use this security authentication with WLAN that would help as well.

Iphone 5s - IBM Notes Traveler 9.01 -Unable to move messages to trash after a few hours

I have a problem with one of my Iphone 5s users. Everything was working with his IPhone 4S, but the phone died and so they replaced it with a 5S
We are using an IBM Lotus Notes 9.01 Server (latest FP patch) and Traveler 9.01 FP4 with the iphone 5 s.
On his Iphone 5S we install Notes Traveler... Everything works on it, but after a few hours we not able to delete messages on the IPhone. When he clicks Delete on a message on his Iphone, it comes back saying it is "Unable to Move the message"
If I remove Traveler and reinstall it, he can delete the messages for a few minutes or even a few hours, but then it comes back and says it cannot move the messages when we try to delete the email on the Iphone 5S.   The Iphone had   7.1.1 OS... I updated it to latest Apple 7.1.2 OS on it.. Same problem.   We also have an AOL account on the Iphone ....that works fine...      All other Traveler users on Iphones 4S or 5S users are working Fine...
I had IBM look at it. They did some testing and the email deletions only appeared on the logs when   it synchronized to Traveler, but when the problem occurs... it never did show anything in the Notes logs, about the Delete request.   They are saying it is an Apple problem.
I even reset his IPhone 5 S to factory defaults and re-setup Notes Traveler and after a few minutes or a few hours... When he deletes a email he gets the Cannot move the messages again.   I opened a bug report with Apple by never heard back from them. All other functions of the email work..   He can send and receive emails... He just cannot delete after a few hours. I ran checks on he email database and everything comes up OK...

That's odd. You will probably have to contact Apple support on this one. I'm not sure if their is a problem with your account or a server glitch at their end but in either case, they will probably have to look into it for you. You can reach them here: http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/.

Unable to move table

I have three tables to move from SYSTEM tablespace to USERS. But i am unable to move such tables which have long or long raw datatype columns.please suggest how to move chk and lng tables.

Long is depricated now u better use clob,Long raw,Long is supported in Oracle 9i for backward comaplibity,use blob,clob instead,you can have only one Long raw,Long column in table.

earlier we are moving a page ,document from one site to another sub site with in the Site Collection.
Now,we are getting a un-readable format error.
After selecting the destination we are getting the error.
and the file can't move.
What might me be the error.
Expecting answers related to my question.
1.As we can do using Internet Explorer,
2. Using Send To also we can move.
Using this Site Content and structure we can maintain Versoining also.
If any one face the same issue then we can easily find out the solution.

Unable to move message, the message could not be moved to the mail box trash

I have an iPhone 4 with the error message 'unable to move message, the message could not be moved to the mailbox trash' with 4 emails, I managed to remove 2 of the messages by marking them as read however with the other 2 i tried this and it just crashed the Mail app any help would be appreciated.

Did you have Hotmail set-up with Android prior? I did, and if you did too, you have the same problem, and this is how to solve it.
From your desktop computer, the Hotmail (or Outlook) website uses the folder "Deleted" for your deleted messages as default. On your iPhone, the deleted folder's name by default is "Trash".
When I had my Hotmail with Android, it created a folder Trash for deleted messages, and it's creation was amongst all my folders. So when you go back and look at Hotmail from your desktop, you will see a folder Trash, in addition to the default Deleted. My Trash folder had all the emails I deleted from my Android.
That said, with the manual folder Trash that was created, when trying to set-up Hotmail now on iPhone, because I already had a folder Trash, it conflicted with the default "Trash" folder it wanted to created, so it didn't create it, being the reason why you can't delete emails, because it doesn't have the defaulted "Trash" folder to go to.
The solution is to delete the folder "Trash" from your desktop, uninstall Hotmail from your iPhone, and re-install, and it worked, the defaulted "Trash" was then created, alongside the "Sent" and "Junk".

I have had a similar problem recently and followed advice here. Specifically, I used the brute force approach. As suggested by this site, I strongly urge you to backup your mailbox before trying this fix - just to be on the safe side.
