Unable to open a file due to "Not enough storage..."

I am attempting to open a file of artwork that is in .tiff form. It is 10GB and I get an error message that says "The operation could not be completed. Not enough storage is available to complete this." And Bridge freezes and I have to close the program using Task Manager. The version I am using is linked to CS2.
The bizarre thing is...
The file I am attempting to access is able to open on a co-worker's computer that is version CS3.
Essentially I would like to create a library of artwork for my department utilizing the "keyword" function...
Does anyone know why I would be getting the above message on the older version, but not on CS3?

For the location look in edit/preferences/cache. If you have a separate partition for this check its size. If your cache is the whole drive then check to see how much extra space you have.
If your drive is fragmented and nearly full that can cause problems. I have seen it recommended that you have no more than 75% of the drive's capacity filled so you have room to defrag occasionally.
p.s. In the cache directory there is a slider so you can increase its size, but there may be side effects to this beyond a certain point. Not sure exactly what this slider does, but may change the allocation of memory with other programs?

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

The cloud is for storing your backups (which will then allow you to restore your content back on to a device), to download content on your iPad you need enough available space on your actual iPad : Settings > General > About > Available.
If you aretrying to download an app then you generally need approximately twice its size to be able to download and install it.

Unable to open CC file created yesterday: "not a valid Photoshop document" [was: Terry]

I created a Photoshop CC file yesterday. Can't open it today. Says "not a valid Photoshop document." Get info shows that it is a Photoshop CC file and the extension is .psd.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I wanted to share my experience and solution in case anyone else runs into this.
The other day, I spent many hours editing some photos for a client. I saved them all and closed Photoshop. When I tried to open the .PSDs, they all came up with this "Not a valid Photoshop document" error. I was freaking out. I could see the thunmbnails and previews with the MacOS Finder and could see the images just fine in Lightroom, but couldn't open them in Photoshop CC.
Finally, I remembered that these were NOT supposed to be .psd files! They were supposed to be TIFFs. What happened was, when I edited them from within Lightroom into Photoshop, they opened as TIFFs. However, when I did "save as", I wanted to name them similarly to some other files I had. I clicked on one of the existing files to copy the file name in the Save As dialog to make it easier to name the new file I was saving, but I didn't realize it was changing the file extention from ".tif" to ".psd" as well. The older MacOS (version 9 and earlier) didn't rely on file extensions fo identifying file types, so it didn't hit me right away that this would be the problem. When I changed the incorrect .psd file extension to .tiff, the files opened in Photoshop just fine.
SO... if you run into this "Not a valid Photoshop document" error, try figuring out if it's actually another file type (.jpg, .tif, .png, etc) by either getting the file info from another program or just experimenting with different file extensions. Chances are good that your file isn't actually corrupt, but just named improperly!

IPhone unable to work due to not enough storage space available.

It's been quite some time now that I'm having trouble with my iPhone 4s. It tells me that I don't have enough memory available. I don't have any music installed, I have very few app's installed, but I do have a lot of pictures. It's getting frustrating because the internet starts to drop off or won't even open. My text messages dissappear or won't even send. On my old iPhone 3GS, I had a lot of apps, tons of pictures, lots of music and not once did I have any issues with memory. Help needed....

What do you mean it "refuses to work using bluetooth"?
The iPhone does not support bluetooth file transfer. The only thing you can use it for with any computer is tethering the internet connection from the phone. You can not sync or transfer data with your computer via bluetooth. You can sync via cable or WiFi.

Not enough storage, yet plenty of unused space

my iPhone 5 with both IOS 6 and now IOS 7 tells me every morning that it was unable to back up because there is "not enough storage". When I check the cloud I see that I have only use 2 1/2 gigs of 5 gigs of storage, and my phone has 9 GB of free space. Why am I seeing this message, and what does it mean?

The 2.5 GB you see is storage in the cloud (i.e. Apple servers) the 9 Gb of space is on your phone. When you try to back up, it will use your iCloud storage, which you clearly do not have enough of, for the amount of data you are trying to back up.
You can see what your iCloud storage is used for and delete any unwanted content at settings > iCloud > Backup & Storage > Manage...... on your iOS device. Or System Preferences > iCloud > Manage...... on a Mac.

E70 PDF Reader : Unable to open. File type not sup...

This morning I have bought an E70, among others due to its highscreen resolution and the possibility to run a PDF reader on it.
I have now tried ...
  - the pre-installed Adobe PDF Reader
  - the Adobe PDF Reader supplied with the PC Suite CD-ROM
  - the Adobe PDF Reader available on europe.nokia.com
I am fascinated by a software which presents itself in the About box as '1.5', prompts during installation for '1.0.5' and has filenames '1_5_0'.
Apart from minor variations in the SIS filenames they all share the same annoying feature: They refuse to display any of my PDF files but display a message 'Unable to open. File type not supported. 5. !' instead.
It doesn't seem to be a problem of the PDF files, since a collegue of mine was able to open them on his E61 or E70 (forgot to ask).
Any idea what this problem could be caused by?

The complaint about the file type only appears if you try to open a PDF stored in the phone memory but not if you try to open a PDF stored on the memory card.

Hi Sasi,
One of the reason for this error is corrupted universe.So you can try following steps and restore copy of universe and then try to import this universe and check whether it works.
1.While importing a universe, a temp file is created in the users local settings temp directory.
2. For example C:\Documents and Settings\brijones\Local Settings\Temp\0dd0b0a7 .
3. File has no extension is relatively the same size as the original universe file.
4.Rename this file to original universe name.

The issue is most likely due to the directory not being accessible from all nodes in the rac. If it works with parallel=1 but not parallel>1 then the other nodes that are being used to import data, and since the file exists, then please check that the disk is accessible from all nodes in the rack.

I am unable to open raw files taken on my Canon Rebel T1i in my version of Photoshop CS3. When I import raw files into Bridge they come up as patches with CR2 on them and when clicked on, a notice comes up stating that Photoshop does not recognize these files. I tried to update my Adobe Camera Raw by downloading version 4.6 from the Adobe Website, but when I clicked on the plus-in, I got another message that Photoshop does not recognize this file. I spoke with a representative from Canon who said that I could not update CS3 and that I should subscribe to the Cloud. I would prefer to use my CS3, if possible. Can anyone advise me what to do?
