Unable to open a query view in web analyzer

Hi All
In web analyzer i have saved a Query view, Using save as tab.
when i tried to open that Query view through open tab in web analyzer it is throughing some exceptional error.
Is this the right way to access the saved query view, can anyone help me with your suggestion?

SAP BW query view deletion in Web/ "Delete Query view" in web

Dear All,
We are using the standard template: BW web analyzer (0ANALYZER). In this standard template, SAP provided two links "Save View" and "Open View" for creating new query views and opening existing query views respectively. However, no oppurtunity was provided to "delete query views".
We would like to have an oppurtunity to delete the query views as well from Web. (currently we are deleting the unwanted query views from Bex analyzer, as per the request from business users - who have access only to the web reports).
Would be great if you can suggest some solution to this problem.
By the way, We would not like to use the standard "Query view selection" web item. (as it creates user specic local views only).

CALL FUNCTION 'RZX2_OBJECT_DELETE'
you can make yourselves a little ABAP with.

We have built a template that is extension of standard template 0ADHOC_TABLE provided by SAP. In our template we have added OPEN view and SAVE view APIs mentioned in SAP documentation to provide the features to open a query view and to save a query view. Now we need to provide a feature to delete a query view functionality to users as there were many old saved views that are no longer relevant and needs to be deleted.
Unfortunately the open view screen that opens does not provide feature to delete the query view.
Request your help on this, how did you provide this feature to the users. what did we miss?

Right click and delete when you're in the "open" dialog in Analyzer.

Can you access that address on the machine hosting planning?
The file structure on the web server depending on which app server you use should be something like \Hyperion\deployments\Tomcat5\HyperionPlanning\webapps\HyperionPlanning\help\en\hp_information_map\hp_information_map.html

How to open a Query in BPS Web-Layout

i am new to BPS. How can I open a Query in BPS Web-Layout so that I can enter plan data manually??

Hi.
You can open bex query in BPS Web Layout, but you should update data via BPS layout.
In BPS Bex query can be opened only for display as long as BPS doesn't allow input via query (only BI7+IP).
In BPS Web Interface builder add subcomponent "text", set HTML=TRUE, goto property "text", press F4->edit long text and enter HTML tags IFRAME with URL of bex query.

I have created queery view in BEX analyzer and would like to open it in web (Query designer).
Unfortuately, its not availble in WEB. Is query view only availble in application (WEB or Analyzer) whereit was created?

Post upgrade to 3.1 issues : Unable to open report query

Hi,
We have upgraded our APEX version from 3.0 to 3.1. We have some wierd problems now
1. I tried to add a new column link to an existing report region and I get an error.
failed to parse SQL query:
ORA-00911: invalid character
2. I have to make some changes to an existing report query and I am unable to open it. I Get the following error:
ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column
Can anybody let me know the reason for these errors.

Hi Scott,
We created a test case on apex.oracle.com in my workspace (DGIELIS_31)
It's Application 54025, the query is called "Test Big Query".
Currently it works, but edit the query and copy one of the comment lines and paste it in to take it over 4k. You should get the same error.
Just for the record:
- in APEX 3.0 in a non UTF-8 (WE8ISO8859P15) database this query was working
- When migrating to UTF-8 database with APEX 3.1.1 we can't open the queries.
- We can't use a view in this case, it's a pretty complex query which already uses MV's and the tables in questions are pretty huge. The query we had to come up with is pretty big to get optimal performance.

Problem while opening Bex query on the web

Hello BW experts,
I have a problem while opening Bex query from my SAP Favorites.See below.
When i double click on the query, i get the following page, with the server name KBWS01QX.
But, from RSRT Tcode, select the query > query display as HTML > Click on ABAP Web , click execute as shown below, it is going to the correct URL as in the 2nd screen shot below.
My question is why is it going to the wrong URL when i open it from SAP Favorites menu?
I want it to open the same URL as it opened from RSRT(which is the right one)
What is the Config needed to make it to work from SAP favorites.
Any help would be appreciated.

From RSRT, this time I clicked on JAVA WEB, and i get the below URL, which is the same URL i was getting when i executed the query from SAP favorites.

Also, i have executed the Function module : RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET and i get the below values.
It seems that it is trying to connect to Java portal something services may be, but i want it to open in ABAP web only.

Unable to save a query view under favourites folder

Hello all,
We have the following issue: when we generate a query view we are not able to save it under favourites because the folder does not appear. We don´t know if it is a question of authorizations or what is going wrong.
Any ideas?

Hi 
Try to do the same thing for the same user from some different machine. If the same issue comes then it is not a Front End issue but it is likely to be an Authorisation issue. Get help from BASIS Team.

When i try to access the view that i published in a role from WEB Analyzer i can't able to see that view in that role

When i published the Query/Report on which the View is based to a role i can able to view the View as well.
Let me start from the begining...
I had a Query/Report which got nearly 80 Free Chars (Drilldown)...insted of creating multiple queries
1) I want to create multiple (6) versions of the query as view with 20 free chars and assign them to users according to thier authorisation.
2) How can i limit the Free Chars for drill down in a view
3)How can i grant access to users for a view with out granting access to query

Unable to Open Bex Query Designer

Hi Experts,
When i opening the BEx Query Designer i got an error message that " RFC error received: Connection Closed without message
(CM_NO_DATA_RECEIVED).
When i closed this message in the status bar it is giving message "Please Install Excel as viewer.
Any one help in this issue.

The problem is with you GUI Installation, So uninstall the GUI in your system and then install GUI with selecting all EXCEL options and it will work.

Plug-in PDF, Internet Explorer, unable to open a pdf file from web site. Question mark

A computer where Acrobat 9 Standard and Acrobat Reader 9 have been installed.
When I try to read a pdf file from a web site and read it in IE, I get a popup whith a question mark and no text.
The pdf file is not open.
I have try to reinstall the last reader but the problem is not solved.

Try using Protected Mode Off. Then you will be at the same level of security that those other programs are running at. You could also try elevating the iexplore.exe task. That would turn off Protected Mode in that task automatically but then
you would be running also with Administrator level authority which might be excessive.

Unable to open the month view for May in Palm desktop

My Palm Desktop will not open the May calendar in the month mode. I can access that month in either daily or weekly mode but not in the monthly one. May seems to be the only month that is affected. It opens properly on my Treo 680 but not on the desktop. I have reinstalled the desktop and resynced without any correction in the problem.

Hi. Is there any chance that ACCESS might produce a version of the software that is immune to this problem. If it is due to data corruption, it would seem to me that this corruption is being caused by the ACCESS software. As far as I know, there is no other software on my system with access to these files. It seems to me that the software should either not create the corrupted records in the first place, or alternatively, be able to tolerate them. I would be happy to send you a dump of my calendar file if that would help to diagnose the problem (assuming I can ever open it again). Thanks.
