Unable to open CATS link through Portal...

Hi Guys,
I am unable to open the CATS Link through Portal.
Once I click the link "Record working time", Iam getting error message i.e:
500   Internal Server Error
SAP NetWeaver Application Server 7.00/Java AS 7.00 
Failed to process request. Please contact your system administrator.

Hi,
You will have to check this with the person who is upporting our portal applications. From the error description it does not look like there is any thing wrong with CATS application as such.

    So I'm not Mary Frances.  I'm her husband who is force to deal with this opaque and obnoxious equipment (iPad).  With the iOS 7 update she could no longer follow web links by tapping them in an e-mail (it did work from a web page).  After an hour of web searching, experimenting and rejecting the offer of an answer from apple help for only $20, I found that, if in settings/safari, you turn off the "Do Not Track" button, the ability to follow links in an e-mail by a tapping is magically returned.
    Flash! I just went back to the ipad and turned on the "Do Not Track" button -- just to test my discovery.  Predictably (by my cynical myself) you can still open a link in an e-mail, so I don't know what's happening/happen.  But I'm not surprised.

  • System error while opening the timesheet through Portal

    Hi Experts,
    I am getting the below error message while opening the timesheet through Web Portal. But I am not getting any error if I book time through back end i.e. CAT2 Transaction.
    System error: No receiver could be determined
    This error comes in Portal only (not in backend) once I enable "HR Enables CATS" option in Data entry profile through CAC1 transaction. There is no error if the same option is disabled.  But we need this option to be enabled.
    Can anybody help me ASAP for the same?

    I have newly Installed Solution Manager 7.1 SR-1 on windows 2008 Sybase ASE database and ran post installation activities.
    After updating SLD by applying all cim & CR files, I am unable to open SLD and other Solution Manager portals using IE-8 with http://<FQDN>:50000/index.html, /nwa, /sld, /useradmin etc.

    I am not able to run a particular BEX report through portal.
    I get a white screen and no pop-up for selections and later nothing happens.
    I have checked my Roles but no changes has been made.
    My other colleagues are able to run the report.
    Please let me know what could be the possible reason/solution for such an issue.

    are different roles assigned?
    i.e., for you and for your colleagues.  Please try login with your id in their PCs and vice versa.
    let check the compatibility. if you are failed to execute in that PCs also, then it should be authorization issue. Ask your basis folks to add that particular info area and info cubes to your role.

  • Unable to open weblogic link in OBIEE

    Hi,
    I am new to OBIEE, I installed OBIEE 11G in personal laptop and succesfully able to work on BI adminstration, but unable to open web logic console and other stuff which are web applications. I am getting error as cannot display page.
    Is there anything I need to set inorder to work on web based applications? Please let me know as I am clueless to find the sollution for this.

    Clear all the events from the event viewer and then start the services and check whether the page is opened or not.
    Before doing this check whether the BI Server has been started or not. If the services are started and eventhough you are not getting the web page then try the below options.
    Steps to clear events in event viewer, Goto Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer
    Click on Event Viewer and in the left panel and right click on application and select clear all events option. Like wise you do for all the options available in the left panel
    Once it is done restart the services and then open the weblogic console or em or obiee page etc.

    Where did you collect this log from? Doesn't look like the logs the ActionTec router spits out.
    Under the Advanced icon select System Settings and midway down make sure System Logging is on as well as Security Logging...
    Then go to the System Monitoring icon at the top and then to the Advanced Status menu on the left side, there you can see the system log... may be of some use
    The log above can be found by going to the Firewall icon and then on the left side, the Security Log .... I looked here assuming some security policy was killing the stream..
    After looking further... I see that there is a standard RTSP rule already in placeIt's interesting, my ActionTec 424 doesn't have a built in RTSP rule at all. I found it under the advanced icon at the top and then under protocols
    What I cannot see on any inbound FIOS firewall router log is an
    inbound attempt from the server that Pulsar requested the stream from
    That's the thing, there -aren't any-. RTSP as Pulsar does it, does not involve any inbound connections, and thus doesn't require any Port Forwarding/Mapping. It should "Just Work" in all cases.
    I suppose if a stream is allowed as a protocol in would not be flagged in a log
    From the testing I've done though, it appears that the router is just hanging up doing the -outbound- connection. We send an RTSP "DESCRIBE" command to the server, and begin reading the reply back. The reply starts to come back in, and then suddenly the data starts coming in out of order. Finally the connection just hangs completely before the complete reply is received.
    Under Advanced icon there is a QOS option .... I wonder if a QOS was set for the stream if it would handle it better and not mangle the stream
    As far as I can tell, it is a bug in the router firmware. We send a request, and it mangles the reply data. Doesn't leave us much room for working around it.

    These reference RTSP issues with a router in front of the Actiontec ... I have no router... just switches and gateways to the Actiontec which is doing all the DHCP assignments, firewall and routing. I tried VOD on the VERIZON STB box, it works fine, and according to the threads.... they use RTSP ... so why would RTSP work for the STB and not Pulsar?
    Also... out of curiosity.... is the Sirius stream native from Sirius as RTSP?  are they offering both the legacy and RTSP during transition to RTSP only .. or is this a RougeAmoeba / Pulsar independent implementation / connection converted from Sirius's native stream?
    Next week I'm going to do some testing with a NetGear MoCa bridge, and see if that behaves any differently then the ActionTec 424.

    This problem seems to be more towards with Call structure Configuration.
    Please define parameters carefully during defining  webservice like repository name which is case senstive, ensure you have the same case senstive name for repository which you defined for SRM MDM in MDM Console. Also check for other parametrs too.

Recently I went on Facebook and tried to open a movie site someone had sent me on Facebook andwhen I tried to open the video on Facebook, I was told  I had to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player. i tried to do this, but turns out that Facebook is requiring folks to have an intel chip in order to view movies...this is outrageous!  Just think of all the folks in the world who have great running pre intel chip Apple computers. I called the Adobe Help line and was told that I really needed to buy a new computer....no thanks. How do I find a way to get a new version of Adobe for Facebook and youtube. I wish Apple could develop a way to have intel chips installed in the older computers. If you have any suggestions on this please let me know.

    Either get a screen cleaning cloth, or carefully us a slightly damp lint-free cloth and dry off with a dry link-=free cloth.
    As to Flash Videos: I am in a similar same boat. I cannot watch flash videos on the BBC website or on BBC iPlayer, although all other flash videos (YouTube and FaceBook for example) are fine.
    For reasons that passeth all understanding, they work with the PPC version of Firefox, called TenFourFoxG5.app, once you have anabled plug-ins, as it does not natively support Flash.
    You can download TenFourFoxG5 from here:

    Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:

    But there is a workaround!
    Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
    Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
    Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
    Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
    I am using Flash 10.1.102.64 in TenFourFox and it works just fine.

    You don't need to start downloading weblogic.
    Usually the issue is that either the web server has not been configured (this is not weblogic) or the permissions are not correct in shared services e.g. the hss roles of application creator, dimension editor.
    You can always try going to create a planning application directly first http://<planningmachine>:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp

  • I am unable to open pdf links using firefox 4 beta 11. Error message is "....ashx file cannot be opened, because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to disk first and then opening file"

    I can open some pdf file in FF beta 11 using Adobe reader, however some links to pdf files cannot be opened. When clicked, the error message above appears. There is no option to open the file, so I have had to switch to Safari to read these pdf file.
